Cause 4 Concern
: Pandemic LP Part2 : C4C Recordings : 12"
Recently reformed
after a few years of inactivity, the formidable foursome known as Cause 4 Concern
return to wreak havoc with their first full length album. Boasting a back
catalogue of big tunes on the largest labels and two imprints of their own, c4c
are unavoidable, inimitable, and all but irresistible. Spread over five
separate 12”s to be followed by a double CD, Pandemic picks up right where the
lads left off – the leading edge of electronic music. All of the elements that
made them one of the most exciting and entertaining production posses in drum
‘n’ bass remain intact, and are both refined and reinforced. Creators of sounds
so sick that they cannot be suppressed, so contagious they cannot be contained.
Support: Andy C, Friction, Hype, Bailey, Goldie, Gridlok, Fierce, Concord Dawn,
Dieselboy, Zinc, Ed Rush, Bad Company, D Bridge plus many more.

Chook : Trainspot
(Misanthrop Remix) : Full Force Recordings : 12"
Hazy eyes awake to a
dark, mysterious setting. Suspense lingers as the introduction begins. The
invasion of static mutates the airwaves, opposing a major threat to recovery.
Sharp, skin cutting percussion sets the senses on high alert, preparing the
body for the breaks. Thick, grungy midlines shiver feverishly in cold textures,
while an edgy rolling bassline coats the walls of the sound chamber. The white
noise regains control of the vessel, paralyzing all running systems and thus
forbidding any chance of outside contact. The signal is set, the fate is
sealed. The rugged, minimal funk pollutes another mind and executes it's
venomous destiny. Chook - Trainpsot [Misanthrop Remix] German powerhouse, Misanthrop,
steps up for his first contribution to the Full Force stable with a masterful
remix of Chook's sinister roller, 'Trainspot'. Flexing his signature style of
high voltage funk and chest rupturing bass, Misanthrop adds another layer to
the legend in this can't miss, must have" remix classic. Once again, Full
Force proves to be one of the most respected outlets in the game for pure quality
in future funk beats.

GRIDUK023
V/A : Fat Like
Your Mum Volume 2 : Grid Recordings UK : 2x12"
After the success of
Volume 1 which kicked off Grid’s 2008 schedule, we move straight in with Volume
2. Jealous of the VIP makeover Twisted got on the artwork of the first instalment,
Vital Elements and Silver get the Fat treatment making for another classic!
Twisted takes the lead on Volume 2 with ‘Memory Implant’ - ‘Na man we’re
rolling, you know we won’t stop’ declares the vocal from the outset over a
misty sounding high pitched pad. A warm squelching bass and tight drums get
proceedings moving along nicely with some classic Twisted drum rolls keeping
things hyped. Talking of Hype he’s been on this one along with Chrissy Chris
and many more. Silver had his first release on Grid back in 2001 with ‘M16’ and
‘Exit’ as part of Accidental Heroes. He now returns to the label 7 years on
with solo contribution ‘Dog Town’.
Dreamy pads and classic ragga samples make way for a grimey slice of dancefloor
mayhem. Not for the faint hearted. Some super tight, super punchy rolling
beats, a killer b-line, Vital is making this sound his own, and ‘Pay Up Time’
is testament to this. This one is gonna be big! Support from all the big
names and a spot on Ram Serum touches down with his debut on Grid, ‘Power
Moves’. With previous releases on Ray Keith’s legendary Dread Recordings and
Randall’s Mac II imprint under his belt you know he means business with this
jump up party rocker! Records Andy C’s ’Nightlife 4’ compilation can’t be
argued with! A: TWISTED INDIVIDUAL - MEMORY IMPLANT B: SILVER - DOG TOWN C:

HWARE06
Sabre : Mischief
Unit EP : Renegade Hardware Music : 2x12"
A) EYE CONTACT -
SABRE: Kicking things off for his debut EP comes something traditionally
Hardware, created and written by none other than the man of the moment - Sabre.
Hot on everyone’s lips, he’s been dubbed as "bringing back the musicality
and simplicity" DnB was ever so loved for. For those of you from back
then, the relevancy will be clear in this one’s ’Eye Contact’. B) SENTRY -
SABRE & ICICLE: Two of the hottest producers step up to the creative
challenge and meet two ways with this massive stepper! This one’s greatest
strength lies within its dancefloor sensibility of a massive grooving bassline,
decorated with tech bleeps, swirling atmospheres and sparse atmospheres.
Defiantly a little something that won’t be leaving your musical box anytime
soon. C) WIRETAP - SABRE & SURVIVAL: Taking the best from Sabre’s world and
introducing it to the depth and floating atmospheres of Survival’s and that can
only mean one thing. Tip top production filled with subtle percussion hits,
running drums and string atmosphere’s that drift the arrangement ever so
seamlessly from one part to the next. Keeps you locked to the sub while the
rest floats off into the abyss. D) MISCHIEF UNIT - SABRE: The final piece of
the EP puzzle is complete with the title track, a hazy intro of delaying
percussion, thought provoking sounds and spacious moods drop away to filter in
the squelching lead line that rides you along on rolling drums and bopping
b-lines. A mid set comedown, beautifully constructed within true musical
talent.

Random Movement
: Her Song EP : Innerground Records : 2x12"
l2008 kicks off in
epic style for the Innerground label as American heavyweight, Random Movement,
embarks on his first double pack offering. Many will know Random Movement, AKA
Mike Richards, for his soulful rolling beats and sublime use of samples.
Thus far his name has graced two 12-inch releases and managed to feature on
both parts of The Master Plan EP series. Now Random is back in business, hungry
and ready to decimate the dancefloor with four truly uplifting floor fillers. lFirst
up is Her Song, an ode to that which is most important in Random’s life. A soft
intro is punctuated by gentle male vocals before the drop, which comes amid a crescendo
of bass. lThe B-Side, The Things You Do, is one of those tunes that literally
stops you in your tracks. Simplicity is key here as the track builds and builds
with each layer that is added before climaxing with an understated bassline
that echoes and works alongside all other elements. lPossibly one of the most
anticipated tracks of the last 6 months has been Psychedelic Drainpipe. A favourite
with label boss DJ Marky and crowds alike, this track has been rocking dancefloors
across the globe with its mellow throb of a bassline. lRounding off what can
only be described as an EP for all seasons is the seductive and compelling A
Good Start Is Saying No. Swathing into the first breakdown with a flurry of
high hat percussion and gentle piano, the track bursts into life after a brief
vocal episode. The melodies at work here are smooth and totally complimentary.

More brilliance from
Johnny L and possible the biggest D&B record of 2008 so far. 'Oh Yeah' is a
nostalgic trip down memory lane with a soaring diva vocal, stepping beats and
old school vibes. Already a dancefloor anthem with plays from the the likes of
Friction, Andy C, Fabio, Grooverider, High Contrast Contrast, Shy Fx, Bryan G
as well as Radio 1’s Annie Mac & Pete Tong.. A pure ray of sunshine for the
winter months. 'Come Here' is killer techno infused gem that has been getting
heavy support from Marcus Intalex, Klute, Doc Scott, Randall and recently
featured on his Fabric:Live mix. Light & Dark, no one does D&B quite

Mistabishi : She
Lied / Falling In Love : Hospital Records : 12"
Hospitals first new
exclusive artist signing since 2004. Jamie Pullen aka Mistabishi is already
coming with his second Hospital 12". Dropping in the twilight hours of
2007 his massive debut "No Matter What" raised a lot of eyebrows and
got a lot of feet moving - becoming a dancefloor and radio anthem thanks to
support from Zane Lowe, Annie Mac and Jo Whiley. This time round Mistabishi
shows his versatility on this double Aside 12" as he turns his hand to two
very different slices of cyberfunk. ’Falling in Love’ sees vocalist Danman
letting loose on a dub filled ragga rinse. Pounding drums and edgy strumming
lead you into a crescendo which will have your head spinning. The raw, emotive
lyrics which are becoming a trademark in the Mista’ sound are also
present and correct, giving the track a real edge both on and off the dancefloor.
‘She Lied’ kicks off with a blissful, euphoric intro before rolling into a
twisted filtered behemoth. Guitar licks, vocals and breaks melt into each other
as this one beats down like the midday sun. Ibiza meets the drum & bass sound of Hospitality. Sun
kissed, but tough enough to last the winter too, this one will roll and roll.

Sileni / Hi-Lar
: Black Rocket / Back On Trip (LXC Remix) : Offshore : 12"
The first Sileni
track on Offshore since “Twitchy Droid Leg” (granted it came out on 4 different
instances due to all of the remixes). “Black Rocket” is a banger in the vein of
the dirty 98 Bristol-sound that was cherished by folks like Decoder and Tech
Itch. A reverberating wood block snare, a big fat distorted bassline and
dizzying white noise to fill up any frequency space that was left make this
track a tough pill to swallow. Let’s not forget Sileni’s signature edits that
riddle “Black Rocket”, words really don’t do it justice. Flip it over for some
German minimal funk from Alphacut’s front man, LXC. Originally released on the
Plain Audio digital imprint, “Back On Trip” gets reworked into a bouncy, quirky
little number that offers a completely different take on the current state of
Drum & Bass. The remix is steppy, but at the same time it hits hard and
holds the listeners interest with edits and an array of sounds all meticulously
engineered. LXC not only runs Alphacut and produces, but he is also a cutting
engineer, so you know it sounds good.

North London 2007,
its a muggy summers day and three of the hottest producers in Drum & Bass
gather in the studio to collaborate and exhibit their musical talents. The
result is a 5 minute slice of future soul music, ‘This is how’ focused around a
solid funk hook that tantalizes from the start. distant vocals and ambient hits
move the rhythmic groove and spur the track on to the defining drop. deeper
frequencies arrive, wrapped in a warm blanket of sub-bass that round off this
timeless piece of music. Switch takes care of the flip with a gorgeous solo
piece entitled ‘Lovechat’, sporting drums, rustic piano hook and uplifting
strings do the hard work, creating an irresistible groove for the warping bassline
to intertwine. DJ support from Friction, Fabio, Hype, Commix, D-Bridge amongst
many more.

Marcus Intalex &
ST File’s groundbreaking label shook the D&B scene to the core with its
releases setting trends that still thrive today. This latest 10” from the camp
maintains that tradition with flair. Icicles ‘Strange Fruit’ shows why this
Dutchman has seen his name rise to such prominence over the last year with its
beautifully deep oscillating bassline constantly progressing beneath tight
beats and delayed Detroit keys. Just wait for the second drop.
Partner-in-crime Switch delivers ‘Hilltop View’ on the flip, a track with

V/A : Smash ‘n’
Grab EP : Valve : 2x12"
This is another
anticipated limited release from us hear at Valve. This e.p. is what it says it
its !! 4 smashers fro yer box.. A. Being one the most played tracks of the year
this track doesn’t need much of an intro. The simplistic nature of the track
make it extremely catchy and memorable to all. Snappy old school break loops
over and lush deep rolling b-line has made this d.j favorite to drop on the dancefloor.
B. 4 to the floor and Dnb can make a marriage in heaven if its done correct !!
This collaboration is sweet to the ears ! Mc Fats intros his unique vocals over
intro which then drops to a stompin, 4x4 stepping banger! Percussive and clean
in sound production makes this track stand out ! With its reggae soundsysystem
influence and effects bouncing along to this comes natural. C. Yet another 4
beat stomper to play with ..Blazin fire is a growlin’ tearer influenced by the
Valve sound Dan has produced a more tech stepped beat. Chants and raved
out synths make the an aggressive piece for your more harder stepped out heads.
D. Snapped up by Lemond for Valve - Majistrate debuts on the label with a
cheeky little belter for the dancefloor. Big bassline pressure and stabbin
chords make this bounce bounce bounce ! Slappin beats gel this little gem
together for more food for the DJ! Tracklist: A: FRICTION - 3rd Degree

Angelzero / Martsman
: Recess (Martsman Remix) / Bluenote : Warm Communications : 12"
Hailing from Germany, Martin Heinze has already started
to make big waves in the drum & bass world with his releases on Offshore, Med School and now
has Warm Communications to call home to also. His unique brand of robotic funk
and bounces basslines give the scene a much needed dose of freshness and
flavor! Angelzero – Recess (Martsman remix) - a “Recess” was originally
released on warm011 by Angelzero. There was a special something about the
original that we felt martsman could put his touches to. Utilizing the original
beats, Martsman adds his touches of edits and crushing bass. More melody has
been placed on top along with new effects! This is what remixes should be like
and all around a great remix to a great track! System error!!! Bluetone - aa
It’s been awhile since a tune has come around in the drum & bass scene that
really catches people offguard and turns things upside down! There have been a
lot of half-time dnb tracks come out lately, but nothing i assure like this! Martsman
has come up aces with bluetone! A dark, sythetic drone opens the track up
before the bleeps creep in! A half-time beat pounds through the speakers and
bass to crush any system! Synthetic, glichty goodness at it’s best!

producers for 07, having already achieved regular airplay from Djs such as

sitting in the studio together making dnb beats for about 2 years now. Shnek

Concept at Vienna's most famous club the Flex roughly 5 years ago. They both
soon became residents at Vienna's “All Souled Out” night at the well known Roxy,
pushing the more deep and soulful sound of dnb and have played alongside guests
like: Calibre, Total Science, DJ Marky, Nu:tone, Klute, Dj Lee, Marcus Intalex...
Additionally they are playing regularly in Flex and other big venues all over Austria. They soon discovered their similar
interest and taste in music, and started meeting up for regular sessions in the
studio. People like Spinback and The Invaderz, being regular guests in Austria, took notice of their unique sound
and signed some of their tunes. They would describe their style as rolling, not
focusing on any particular genre of DnB, just making music they want to hear!

David WS / Nifty
: Dona do Primeiro Andar / The Latin Connection : Sunrize Recordings : 12"
Finish copy promos.
Following the the great feedback on Sunrize 001, sweetly crafted by the labelheads
themselves Human Factor, Sunrize Recordings now brings two fresh artists along
the journey into the sunny vibes of Brazilian and Latin Drum and Bass, which is
what Sunrize Recordings is all about. For Sunrize 002, we proudly present David
WS and Nifty. Get ready for more serious Brazilian and Latin Vibez with these
two A-Side boomers. David WS has been causing a serious damage in Brazil with his fresh and very Dancefloor
targeted approach to the brazilian sound. FAT basslines and very full and
dynamic beats, alongside extremely cheerful and swingy 70’s Samba-Rock vibes,
this track will definitely bring a Beautiful energy to the Dancefloor. “Dona do
Primeiro Andar”, heavily championed by Patife, Human Factor and David WS
himself, is a serious tune for all the PARTY-DJs out there. On the flip, the english
bwoy Nifty debuts with “The Latin Connection”. With beautifully executed rare
Latin samples and tight ‘n’ straight Beats and Bass, this nugget is THE ONE for
the ladies. It’s got “FEEL GOOD” written all over it!!! This tune has been
expected on wax for a long time from all the brazilian D’n’B Headz. It’s
finally out now on the home of the Brazilian and Latin Drum’n’Bass sound,

DJ Devize
: Deep In Da Jungle Feat Mc Long John : 3D Mode Recordings : 12"
Finish copy promo.Dj
Devize & 3D Mode Recordings return with the next big instalment part 2 of
the Jerk N Gutter E.P. This time around we get additional shadow squad
assistance from Mc Long John, for those who don’t know is the older brother of
Mc Bassman so you can only expect the best. Also on this fine release we have
another Midlands most talented & underrated but
never under estimated 3D Mode Resident Mc Pm to hold down the fort and fly the
flag. So get familiar... A Side: Dj Devize – Deep In Da Jungle Feat Mc Mc Long
John: Presenting another guaranteed piece of sickness from the E.p Deep in the
Jungle demonstrates a track that sounds like it was produced in the dark with
inserts of cinematic amazon atmospherics, crystal beats and a bassline that
creates dancefloor devastation. This track wouldn't be complete without the
vocal blessings of the shadow squad commander the one & only Mc Long John
for those that know of course Mc Bassman's brother. Once again another fine
example of Deep, Dark n Different = 3D Mode hard at work. AA Side: Dj Devize –
Ten Tymez Feat Mc Pm: The mood on this track is easily described as reserved
with a slight aggressive temper. The intro begins with a lo pass filtered tight
drums with active 3d surround sound only to be complemented by the gigantic
vocal presence of 3d mode resident midlands underrated n definitely talented Mc
Pm. This tunes builds up to a well planned out breakdown only to explode into a
rollin beat workout with an absolute grimey gutter sub bassline. Thus creating
pure destruction on every sound system in each and every club so far need we
say more. Dj support coming from: Dj Hazard, Randall, A-Sides, Ruffstuff, Nicky
Blackmarket, L-Double, Dj Kane, Sappo, Ashatack, Cabbie Crissy Cris plus many

a hypnotic blend of synth and bass with an energetic arrangement and enough
tricks in it to keep the attention focused.

again. the mixes range from the quirky 303 acid madness of the original,
through to the uber deep tech house mixes from basek & kriece, and rounding
out with straight up dancefloor action from ‘hot as molten lava’ italian
producers the presslaboys (fresh from their recent hit ep on steve lawler’s

SUBWAY004
TRG / Mayhem :
The Remixes Part 1 : Subway : 12"
The lands of nether
return with another big 12" this time Dubstep heavyweights Reso &
Scuba have reworked 2 previous subway tunes into their own signature style..Reso,
known for his metallic sound and synthetic beats has reworked TRG's Horny and
damn what a tune it has become! Roaring synths, Pounding kicks and one of THE
most evil disgusting arrangements you'll ever hear. The breakdown will leave
hanging onto your seat, while the drop lets you plummet into nothingness into reso's
sick and twisted vision of Horny.. The B side holds the reworked samurai styled
split second by mayhem.. These extra heavy kicks, those melodic strings.. this
can only be the work of Hotflush's champion Scuba. His brilliant vision of
Split Second shows that minimal & dubstep can join forces and combine into
something beautifull yet still deadly on the dancefloor. DJ Support: Reso,
Scuba, TRG, Rusko, The Others, Marlow, Walsh, Pinch, 2562, Emalkay and many
more!

ARG014
Clouds featuring
Tiiu : Under The Dancing Feet : Argon Records : 12"
Now released on
Finish Copy Promo, Here it is! The release that’s been on everyone’s want list
for what feels like an age! USA based Argon Records reach release number 14 in
fine style, having being catapulted to the premier league of dubstep labels of
late with UK live appearances at nights like DMZ from label head-honcho Nick
Argon and argon artists Matty G and Tes La Rok along with the announcement of
the forthcoming album from Matty G to also be released on Argon, things are
moving fast and furious. Clouds is a Finnish electronic music production team
that consists of Tommi Liikka and Samuli Tanner. Tommi is a Helsinki native and Samuli comes from a small
village deep in rural Finland. The pair met through mutual friends
in 1999, and ever since planned on working on some music together, hindered by
both working on various projects and shows of their own. The plan was finally realised
after a string of coincidences and happy accidents led them to sharing a house
in the northern suburbs of Helsinki. Under
The Dancing Feet has been an absolute phenomenon in the dubstep scene, tearing
it up in the dance worldwide, garnering support from all the top DJ’s from a
variety of genres, including plays on Radio 1 experimental. With catchy vocals,
melodic rhythms and pummelling bass this is surely the kind of tune to propel dubstep
further into the mainstream. Do not sleep on this one it is sure to fly out.

familiar haunted dub atmosphere reminiscent of early Digital Mystikz. Don’t

Whistla : Heaven
/ Rollerball : Ox Rider : 12"
Finish copy promos.
With his releases on his own Ox Rider Records, East London DJ / Producer Whistla
has made a name for himself as one of the most interesting Dubstep producers on
the scene today. Not afraid to push things in new directions he has crafted a
sound which is uniquely his own. The 4th release on the label sees Whistla
wearing his 2-step influences proud with 2 tracks of off kilter garage beats:
Heaven oozes swing and groove. The bass line bubbles around a twisted vocal
line whipping any listener into a frenzy which will see them swiveling across
any dancefloor, studio or bedroom. Rollerball utilizes a tearing break and
combines it with garage shuffle. It pounds subtly with understated mid range wub-wubs.
Like the name suggests, it is a proper roller and totally unlike the ‘conveyor
belt’ productions dubstep churns out today. Firmly part of the Dubstep scene
but conscientiously mutating the UK Garage sound of old, Whistla’s music is
totally compelling and uncompromising. Keep you eyes glued to flyers for where
you can catch Whistla tearing up a dancefloor near you soon.
