Shimon vs. Sparfunk
: The Smoker/In The Shine : Audio Porn : 12"
After the release of
‘Snake Charmer’ on Terrafunk, Shimon and Sparfunk team up once again for the
highly anticipated, third AudioPorn release ‘The Smoker’ & ‘In the Shine’. A
clinically crafted masterpiece with western B movie samples setting the scene
for this dance floor smasher. ‘The Smoker’ with its warped bass trickery and
pumping beats it is already causing mayhem in the dnb world with heavy support
from the likes of Hype, Zinc, Andy C, Subfocus, Chase n Status and many more.
"In the Shine’ on the flip has a more liquid feel but still enough bite to
keep the dance floor’s energy. Soothing pads and funky keys are prominent in
this cool little stepper as it glides from start to finish with an air of
dirty, funky sophistication.

A new label, the A side
Eerie soundscapes, filtered kicks and snares take you through the intro,

beat that hits you in the face and does not let up. This one is

FOKUZ031
Naibu : Common
Perception / Pacific : Fokuz Recordings : 12"

movement. Naibu, from France has just recently signed his first release on

superb quality production. Crystal clear sounds, emotional melodies, wicked
strings, steady rolling beats, and a nice vocal on top. A proper dancefloor
roller. The flipside Pacific is more of an epic journey that starts with basic
luscious strings and it just builds and builds and builds. Beats slowly getting
tougher, with subtle essential edits, a nice percussion underneath, and an
amazing atmosphere on top .. If you like your drum & bass musical than this

Raiden & Propaganda
/ Lethal & Khanage : The Panacea Remixes : Offkey : 12"
The work of four
Offkey artists condensed on to one 12”, the eagerly awaited remixes of two
already massive tunes from the OK camp, The Panacea was invited to record for
Offkey after Raiden heard his massive track ‘Carborundum’ (ok004) and signed it
instantly. The original tracks have been major highlights in The Panacea’s sets
since their inception and it was only right that the half man half machine
would be asked to do Offkey recordings first batch of remixes. Raiden +
Propaganda-Machinesoul- The Panacea RMX Taking the original’s bullet train
aesthetic and making it all his own, tearing your heart straight out and
stomping on it in front of you, Panacea adds weighty bass stabs the really do
reign terror when unleashed in a club. The original blueprint for machinesoul
(ok001) was to make a peak time track that had rolled like no other before it,
and it did just that-with big labels hunting for it the track instantly became
an anthem and now Mr mootz has added his own twisted touch .Lethal + Khanage-
Murkage- The Panacea RMX. Lethal + Khanage brought us ‘Murkage’ after Raiden
requested a flip to Jawbreaker (ok006) asking for a dancefloor monster he got
just that-dancefloors around the world lapped up the tune with its cheeky Burty
B sample and its bouncing off the walls breakdown- a stepping monster. The
Panacea took the original and turned it into a truly stomping piece of android
funk, a never ending loop that might cause hysteria if listened to under the influence,
imagine this remix as godzilla smashing through buildings and streets alike...

SUBS002
Raiden &
Rodell : Kings of the Warehouse EP : Subsistenz : 2x12"
Raiden and Dean
Rodell team up for the fist time under their new guise The Dying Punks to bring
you probably the most influential EP at the min in technoid dnb Kings Of The
Warehouse. If you are not familiar with these two artists then all you need to
know is that they were probably separated at birth and told to lead separate
lives in different electronic fields.. Both are renowned for their dark twisted
sounds and love for the relentless, a no break down - no surrender mentality
has been forged in their arrangements. If you havent been involved in the
rising scene off TechnoDnb then all at Offkey and Subdivision welcome you to
the revolution with a four track EP that raised the bar once more. ‘Love Your
Robots’ - 6 min of absolute mayhem a bit like driving in the snow on acid with
no breaks.. ‘Vietnam Never Happened’ - if you could imagine Chris Liberator and
Prokets love child you have and idea what this track is all about: hard
relentless and full of acidddddddddd ‘Wednesday Wake’ - is the last Dying Punks
contribution to this EP and they leave as they mean to go on deep dark hard and
unrestrained in filth. a small taster of what the future holds and what their
Live PA will do to all ya dirty dancefloors. ’HeadHunter’ - last but by no
means least Propaganda steps up with a RMX of Dean Rodells HeadHunter that puts
a new twist onto an old twisted fav of the hard techno scene. Please do not
play around small children or pregnant ladies ;) Support by: The Panacea :

Fresh BC : Clap
/ Exhale : Breakbeat Kaos : 12"
Limited white label
promo!! DJ Fresh delivers yet another anthem with ’Clap’: Chunky beats and
unstoppable rumbling bassline, punctuated by vocal samples with attitude, heavy
guitar riffs and strings contrast with the simplest of melody carried through
by subtle keys. ’Clap’ is another dancefloor sure shot with a serious
twist. On the flip, ’Exhale (Inhale Remix)’ is another addictive mixture
of reggae-fused vibes, heavy breaks and sick keys. Both tracks should feature
heavily in the ’Sound Weapon’ project that Fresh is setting up with
collaborators Deekline and Wizard alongside MC Ivory, where he uses digital
technology to unleash the full potential of his music to devastating effects.

Aspect &
Gremlinz / Data : Upset / Curfew : Sound Artillery : 12"
Sound Artillery
started with a spark, but this third release is the megaton bomb ready to start
the war. Out of nowhere, Aspect & Gremlinz’ "Upset (Crack Wife)"
has gotten the attention of some well-established names and a host of top DJs!
Starting out subtle enough with breaks that signal the impending doom, this
track drops into a full-fledged, hard-edged roller, taking the listener on a
head-nodding journey, all the while keeping it both simple and precise. Very
heavy funk without all of the additives, this is another addition to the stable
of tunes Aspect & Gremlinz have created together. On the flip, Data takes
us back ten years ago, with the techie "Curfew". A sly sample
invoking the terror of a war-torn city’s attempt to enact a curfew sits
perfectly before this one truly takes off. This is another cut that doesn’t try
to be too much, just establishes a serious vibe and works very well in the mix.
Sound Artillery: what a perfect name for this label. Weapons for mass
consumption, tools for the audio soundclash, tracks that hurt you. and make you
come back for more! Supporting DJs include Andy C, Shy FX, Goldie, Commix,
Loxy, Sabre, D Bridge, Storm, Vicious Circle, Manifest, Verb, DJ E,
Solidindustry and many more!

Rregula : Corner
Hash Man / Shits Dope : Shady Brain : 12"
Finish copy promo.
Without a doubt 2008 will be a good year for .shadybrain as the label has lined
up some heavy tunes to be released in the forthcoming months. It all starts
with SHB004 containing two tunes by the Australian dreadlock madman Rregula. Rregula,
who is one part of the infamous duo Bad Robot, has already released on labels
like DSCI4, Black Sun Empire, Technique and Disturbed. With „Corner Hash
Man" and „Shit's Dope" on .shadybrain he rolls out two tunes which
will set every dancefloor on fire. A – Rregula – Corner Hash Man. The tune
starts off with cutting edge synth melodies before the drop leads into a grimey
bassline craziness. Accompanied by strong beats which hit as hard as a Tyson
punch „Corner Hash Man" is the perfect tune for the peak time of each rave
as well as every neurofunk clubnight. AA – Rregula – Shit's Dope. Shit really
is dope with this one. Do not mistake this tune for a B-Side filler as it is
straight A-Side material and will satisfy every DnB head who likes his beats
hard and filthy. The pumping bassline and heavy beat choppage will make all the
dancers call out for one thing only: The rewind! Both tunes have received heavy
DJ support from the likes of Cause4Concern, Panacea, State Of Mind, Silent Witness, Counterstrike, Vicious Circle,
Misanthrop, Chris.SU, Audio, Mindscape, and many more.

Icicle / Y Volcon
: Broken Fingers / Dub One : Xtinction Agenda : 12"
Finish copy promo.
Icicle sure knows how to make killer D&B tunes. Icicle takes inspiration
from the dirty basslines of the likes of Jonny L and Optical and the intricate
drum patterns of Photek & Source Direct. ‘Broken Fingers’ is not too
overbearing, just one funky headtrip of a bassline paired with a snappin'
drums. With this approach Icicle's tech funk sounds have quickly earned him DJ
support from Goldie, LTJ Bukem, Fabio, London Elektricity, Pendulum, Andy C,
Hype, Friction, D-Bridge, DJ Flight and Commix no less. Dub-One, otherwise
known as Olly Harmer, is unleashing some serious breakbeat pressure for
reputable imprints like Renegade, MindRush, and Horizons Music. A steadfast
ally of Breakage and Equinox, Dub-One has asserted himself as a credible force
in the dubwize drumfunk community.. ‘Volcon’ is uninhibited amen jungle as it's
finest - pretense and chinstrokery to the way side, dutty rock! Thick, dense
beats and concussion bass that knows no boundaries.

ZOMBIEUK19
Vital Elements
(V2E) : No Getting Out / Culture Riddim : Zombie UK : 12"
Back for his second
full release on the Zombie imprint with two choice rave cuts is the mighty
Vital Elements. This guy is getting more and more attention from all over the
scene with every release and it’s looking like 2008 could well be his year. As
he rises rapidly through the ranks, with productions like the two on offer
here, we definitely won’t be surprised when he reaches the top!! ‘No Getting
Out’ is instantly recognisable with a high pitched riff kicking off the intro.
This riff forms the backbone of this track and it keeps on combining with a
whole host of other sneaky sounds and FX’s until the beats come smashing in
along with a meaty bass hit. This is definitely one for the skankers and wall
slappers, as before you know the tracks launched a full on dancefloor assault,
taking no prisoners! ‘Culture Riddim’ sees Vital give a nod to his Serial
Killing alter ego with some serious duplate samples and soundsystem FX’s
straight from a Telepathy 1995 tape pack! This one is all about the switches -
a twisting, turning and morphing bassline ensures that you never quite know
what’s gonna hit you next, keeping the track fresh in the mix and ravers moving!

STORM014
Dubchild :
Dubchild Remixes Part 2 : Storming Productions : 12"
STORM014 Dubchild
Remixes Part 2 - Dubchild Storming Productions 12" Vinyl Stupidly good
package from Storming productions. Barry Lynn (aka Boxcutter) remixes Dubchild’s
Take Me’s grubby bass, heavy beats adding all manner of electronic contortions.
Maintaining perfect balance between hard-edged and soft-centred musical
stylings. Once again making it clear that he is a producer with a far broader
sound than most of his contemporaries. Deep dark and glitchy, Protocols X’s
sick remix of Mount Zion
is one heavy, heavy remix. Taking on influence from Drum & Bass and Grime
sound palette's, making use of live rolling drums and blunted stabs for a
heavyweight beast t for a big system; the bass would no doubt rearrange
internal organs! Storming always favours the kind of gnarly dubstep that takes
on influence from Drum & Bass and Grime sound palette's, and this opening
remix from Distance is no exception - making use of live rolling drums and
blunted stabs for a heavyweight beast not for the fainthearted.

HES003
Untold : Kingdom
/ Purify / Test Signal : Hessle Audio : 12"
For their third
outing, Hessle Audio present an EP by Jack ‘Untold’ Dunning, from leafy north London. Following a massive remix of Dark
Angel for Boka Records, this release showcases Untold’s unique style and
flawless production over three tracks. ‘Kingdom’ occupies all of side A and is
a tribal halfstepper of the deepest order - its lurching bassline and
percussion trundle their way through the rainforest to be met with acclaim from
Plastician and Paul Rose (Scuba – Hotflush). ‘Purify’ continues where ‘Kingdom’
left off on Side B, but raises the dancefloor stakes and energy levels with the
squelchiest of squelchy basslines which provides some serious sub pressure for
the tribal dance. Last but certainly not least, Untold rounds off his EP with
‘Test Signal’. This tune has received extensive support from Mary Anne Hobbs on
BBC Radio 1, as well as accolades from techno legend Pole and Berlin’s Hardwax crew. The tune showcases
Untold’s amazing fusion of old school junglist vibes with ultra-crisp
production - shuddering, cavernous basslines twist and turn throughout, and an
urgent techy arpeggio exemplifies the tune’s nervous energy. Untold is
definitely an artist to watch in 2008.

RUNTIME002
Elemental /
Elemental & 3D : Blob / Sirens (Elemental 07 Refix) : Runtime Records :
12"
Elemental has been a
firm fixture in the dubstep scene for several years now, dishing up his unique
blend of dub and breaks on a wide variety of labels – including Hot Flush,
Destructive and Pitch Black, and inclusion on Tayo’s FabricLive CD – reflecting
the breadth of sounds and influences he brings together in his music.Runtime
Records, originally founded as an outlet for his own music but lying dormant
since its first release, is resurrected to unleash fresh Elemental riddims on
an unsuspecting public…Blob draws the listener in from the very first strains,
fragile glassy synths swirling overhead as a rough bouncing bassline comes
barrelling through between clattering breaks. As the track develops, flyaway
arpeggios scatter while dub effects ping off the snares. Sirens, as the name suggests,
is a sweet song to mesmerise all who hear it, soft female vocals and wistful
strings giving no warning for the percussive assault of drums and bass. Rolling
ever onwards, the burbling subs are joined by a razor sharp acidic reese which
rips through the track, perfectly balancing the rough with the smooth.

A side status) follows in a similar vein, deep pounding bouncy bassline
business. This has seen DJ support from the likes of N-Type and Skream, so

good for spicing up a dj set with its organic sounds so rarely represented in

FOR005
Peo De Pitte
& Yota : Forget About You : Flat Out :12"
After a very
successful 2007 we bring you one a new collaboration between our own Peo de
Pitte and Swedish vocalist Yota. For you who has been around for a while
you will recognize this track as a remake of Peo de Pittes release “Barmaid
From Stockholm” out on sound of Habib 5 years ago. At that time hailed by James
Zabiela (as featured on one of his mix compilations) and many others. pure
melodic breaks at it’s best! Included in the package is also Peo de
Pitte’s very own Baltimore remix. we do very much love that Baltimore oldschool vs nuskool sound hailed by
dj’s as Rico Tubbs and Baobinga lately. Use it with caution on big speakers!
The vocalist Yota is internationally know for a long time and best known for
her work together with Stonebridge, John Dahlbäck, Håkan Lidbo, DLG, Zoo Brazil
and many others. 31 year old Peo de Pitte straight from Stockholm Sweden has been busy making music and dj’ing since he was 14. He always had
his mind set for beats since an early age, broadcasting at a local radio
station in Stockholm, playing hip-hop and soul. Bomb The
Bass, Public Enemy, De La Soul and Gangstarr were major inspirations. At the
age of 17 he was signed up by the dj and superstar remixer Stonebridge, to the
legendary Swedish label Swemix with a phat breakbeat track. His
productions on labels like sound of Habib, west records and his very own
flatout records have been richly varied in style, but always with a breakbeat
feel. His productions have been supported by: James Zabiela, Aquasky,
Plaza De Funk, The Crystal Method, Maelstrom, Evil 9, Madam Breaks, Atomic
Hooligan, Annie Nightingale Radio1, dj Icey, Jay Cunning, Dreadzone and
Steelzawheelz to name a few.

Stereo Da : Play
With Me W. Def Inc Mic : Ibreaks :12"
IBreaks is glad to
introduce a new and promising name to the breaks scene. Dan Taylor aka
Stereodan is a UK based producer moved from Australia to pursue what he calls ‘an
unhealthy obsession with music production. His first track with IBreaks
records is a twisted easy playing wonky, electro-influenced track with an
evident hook which will surely stick to the listener brain… On the flip
what it is probably the best remix work up to date from the london based duo
def inc, with a beefed up version, on a slightly more rolling funkier
note… surely a peak-time roller which keeps on the line of what IBreaks
has been doing for the past 3 years… Which is basically keeping the party
pressure up!!

RANSACK007
Ransack Vs.
Missy & Fatman :Lose Control : Ransack :12"
Ransack Records
brings you the breaks remixes - ‘Loose Control’ marking its 7th release. This
next step in a series of successful breakbeat bootlegs showcases two varying
mixes featuring the vocals of Missy Elliot & Fatman Scoop. First up is the
club mix which is highlighted by a punchy 4/4 groove with a deep, growling sub
bassline peppered with different drum grooves and bass patterns that cut up the
action throughout the track. Following this up is the heavy mix which is sure
to please the bassline fans out there. A breakbeat roller in its purest sense,
the heavy mix is an up tempo track full of high impact beats and big, dirty
basslinesthat propel the tune to a high frenzied pace. Both mixes are sure to
devastate dance floors world wide!
