TILT008
Spinor / Budoka
: Moloch / Ritual : Tilt : 12"
Tilt delivers
another solid Neurofunk tune by Darmstadt's
finest aka Budoka, and a Techno influenced piece by Spinor, the very third
guest artist on the label. It also brings some changes: the releases on this
label will not have white label promo runs anymore but come into the shops
directly as full artwork copies instead. Then, 3 weeks after the vinyl release,
the tunes are made available digitally. Also, there will be no more tunes by
the amex + Kaiza duo because amex kicked himself out. Finally, the future is
about to see more tunes by guest artists on Tilt-Recordings. Spinor -
"Moloch" Located in the Netherlands, Spinor has earned respect in the
world of Drum & Bass since 2004 with releases on Dreazz' Triple Vision
labels Citrus, Love and Piruh, also he has put out a tune on Crossfire
Recordings and on the netlabel T-FREE. Although Spinor is rather known for Neurofunk
with deep, melodic pads and midranges, "Moloch" received a lot of
respect in the Techno-DNB scene even before its release, even though Spinor is
still a relatively new name to this sub genre of Drum & Bass. And now this monstertune
has eventually found a proper home on Tilt-Recordings. The intro's dark
atmosphere and driving beat make clear where the journey will go, and the
powerful drop proves that there is just no alternative to high energy music. No
need to say much more about "Moloch", it simply is a sure shot on the
dancefloor. Budoka - "Ritual" This artist should be well known to
people following the releases on Tilt-Recordings, since he was not only the
first artist on this label but has also provided many of the tunes being
released on it since T!LT#001 in 2003/2004. Now on TILT008, Budoka continues
the good work he has done with his former releases: "Ritual" is a phat
and juicy Neurofunk DJ-tool with a heavily pumping bassline, decent midrange
arrangements woven around oriental strings and a breakdown which surprisingly
opens a window to a far out universe full of dark secrets.

Human Factor : I
Cant Say No (Feat Emma Brammer) / Wind : Dreamsound : 12"
Human Factor, who
have had many releases on Horizons Music and Phuzion plus many others, have now
decided it is time to start concentrating their efforts on their own label - Dreamsound
Recordings. They will be releasing their own tunes and some from
Brazilian established and up and coming producers. They have got five
tracks on the number one position on DJ Patife's monthly top ten chart from
April 2006 to present date, plus 9 other appearances, showing that these guys
know how to knock the soulful edge off things. Not only producers, they
are also very talented DJ's, playing from Thursday to Saturday every
week. DJing is their main job - Tisso is resident on HotBeatz, the longest
running Brazilian and soulful Drum and Bass night on Europe, Which has happened every Thursday since April
2004. Atila is also a regular guest for HotBeatz.
'I Can't Say No' is a soulful little number which features the vocal talents of
Emma Brammer. Nice tight beats flow through the intro with ease.
Smooth piano chords mix effortlessly with the vocals and sweet sub bass to
create a pure masterpiece. The AA is more dancefloor, with driving beats
and a sub bass that will blow your speaker.

L-Wiz : Fruit
Shop : Bare Dubs : 12"
For the first time
Bare Dubs is pressing 12" records, now delivering 3 tracks from the
Swedish producer L-Wiz. This is a very summery, chilled out release. The first
track 'Fruit Shop' has some incredible piano skills with a reggae groove and a
flowing sub bass line. The track evolves into a synth which is more connected
to Dubstep before dropping out into a live solo to top off the production
skills. 'Pirates' brings more energy with a rough synth lead and light bubbly
piano to dub out the sound and create chilled out vibes. 'Syrup Feeling' sounds
perfect for a movie with a very low sub bass line and the trumpet creates a
relaxed vibe. The drum groove is different compared to your normal tracks as it
has no snare. The track progresses by slowly leading you on into it's skank and
multiple breakdowns.

Ed Solo & Skool
Of Thought : When I Was A Yout (Krafty Kuts Rmx) : Against The Grain : 12"
Ed Solo & Skool
Of Thought's critically acclaimed debut album, "Random Acts of
Kindness", was hailed as 'seriously outstanding' and a 'breath of fresh
air' in the music press. Following hot on its' heels comes the final single
from the album, which will be released on limited edition "buzz saw"
shaped vinyl. Ed Solo & Skool Of Thought's original 2006 version of
"When I Was A Yout" quickly became a classic and was described by DJ
Magazine as 'simply one of the finest dubwise tracks of all time". It
received strong specialist support from Radio 1, with plays from Annie Mac,
Steve Lamacq, Zane Lowe and Annie Nightingale, plus specialist support from
Kiss, Galaxy and a host of web radio shows. Now for 2008, label mate Krafty Kuts
has worked his magic once again, with a remix which is already gathering pace
and dominating dance floors, as well as winning support from numerous taste
makers. The result is a tasteful, subtle groover, which avoids all the usual
reggae sample clichés and produces a new classic in the making. However, let's
not overlook track two on this double A side release. 'Life Gets Better'
featuring Darrison shows the sound of Ed Solo & Skool Of Thought with a
more musical consciousness. Think Gorilaz meets Fat Freddies Drop with a breakbeat
twist, this bouncing reggae styled offering has been one of their key album
tracks and brings a feel good vibe that will warm your cockles this winter!

The debut Passenger
release from the forthcoming The Body Snatchers album titled 'Feeling good,

(Fat!) team up and take on the world of krunk/electro & hip hop to great
effect with what many are now dubbing 'futuristic hip hop'. With remixes
already for Ferry Corsten, Krafty Kuts, Noisia and The Ragga Twins, these boys
are on a mission to bring the party to the floor and the ladies to the bedroom.
Tongue in cheek hyphy humor and kingsize helpings of ghetto-house attitude...
this is their world, and these guys like to have fun! On the flip comes a remix
by non other than Meat Katie and here he drafts in the engineering skills of
The Rogue Element to tweak the mix. A bold and stomping remix takes this
track into a new dimension and expands the influence of these intergalactic
