Cause 4 Concern
: Pandemic / Never Acid Again : C4C : 12"
Finished copy promo.
Recently reformed after a few years of inactivity, the formidable foursome
known as Cause 4 Concern return to wreak havoc with their first full length
album. Spread over five separate 12”s to be followed by a double CD, Pandemic
picks up right where the lads left off – the leading edge of electronic music.
All of the elements that made them one of the most exciting and entertaining
production posses in drum ‘n’ bass remain intact, and are both refined and
reinforced. Creators of sounds so sick that they cannot be suppressed, so
contagious they cannot be contained, Cause 4 Concern proudly presents Pandemic.
Featuring the title track, the first part is proof of the outfit’s progressive
improvement, with both sides sure to deliver dancefloor satisfaction. The A
side, Pandemic, is powered by an infectiously filthy riff, razor sharp
midrange, and the snarling swagger of a tune more than assured of its own
authority. Resistance is futile. With its fearful female vocal sample, rolling
bongos, rude guitar riff and filtered horns, Never Acid Again is positively
psychotropic. Mesmerising and multilayered, one listen to these lurid loops
will send you on a six minute, surreal sonic trip. DJ Support from Andy C,
Friction, Hype, Bailey, Goldie, Gridlok, Fierce, Concord Dawn, Dieselboy, Zinc,
Ed Rush, Bad Company, D Bridge plus many more.

ominous midrange. On the flip is the debut of Luxembourg's Chook on SLR in the form of "Descend" rolls,
and just keeps rolling. Super tight percussion and sonic depth keeps this
groove running to the runout. Battered by Teebee, Noisia, C4C, The Upbeats.

Killer release from

REVREC015
Zero Tolerance
& Survival : Back East / Cold Blood : Revolution : 12"
The 15th release on
the ever expanding Revolution Recordings sees Ireland's Zero Tolerance joining forces with man of the moment
Steve Survival to create a dnb tag team of serious proportions, and, as you'd
expect, they don't disappoint. Molten Eastern atmospheres melt around crisp
beats on 'Back East', giving way to sliding, warped synths and square wave
bass-isms. It's a deep track that will have you begging for more, aided by its
intense backdrop and powerful sub bass. 'Cold Blood' looks set to become
another DJ favourite with its stripped down vibes and rolling beats. Creepy
tones and fx have been carefully placed around the scissor cut mids and low
murmur bass line creating a simple but effective track that will keep ears
listening and bodies moving to the end. a Zero Tolerance & Survival - Back

FOKUZLP003
V/A : Chronicles
Of The Deep LP : Fokuz : 4x12"
Chronicles of the
deep is the Third & Final part of this compilation concept of Fokuz
recordings. After The Discoveries & The Treasures of the Deep, its now time
for a wicked selection of Killer artists and killer tracks. A great diversity
of styles, production and vibes with both up & coming & already
established producers The album gets launched by THE man of the moment LYNX,
Counterpoint is something else and gives us a taster of what to expect from
this album.. Original beats & original production. Greeley, Camo &
Tenchu Teaming up with what we see as one of their best productions to date.. A
proper amen driven wobbly bassline anthem with beautiful vocal fx, great melody
and an amazing dance floor drive.. Atlantic connection Swings the sound in a
completely different direction. The tune is a stripped down roller with a
classic R&B vocal in it.. this one has got “ladies tune” written all over
it. Hobzee & Zyonbase taking it one step deeper again, wicked tune already
been supported on BBC 1. A warm deep reece, with dubby vibes, subtle rasta
vocals snippets, a shuffling rolling beat and great production. Check these
guys out, they will be appearing on Fokuz soon again. Cls & Wax are no
strangers in this game. Broken is a typical tune from these guys. Simply said
its just a monster, play this on a system, and the crowd will go mental, but
make no mistake, this music is also home listening proof ;).. Mutt delivers a
tune called trying measures. Originally the tune was released on the
Discoveries of the Deep LP, Mutt delivered a reedit of this incredible
beautiful tune, resulting in timeless classic. Icicles Production partner
Switch teams up with Stunna, for a laid back jazz lick. Proper elevator music
with a bite J.. Brother is a new man on the front. Check his beats out, “second
time around” brings back the calibre vibe… Stripped down, funky and rolling..
Disc 4 track 9 features Drum & bass’ best kept Secret. Naibu, a brand
spanking new producer from France, who
delivers an incredible strong production and sound. Check his next productions
on Fokuz 031, but also expect tracks on Creative source, and many other
like-minded labels, this man is on fire. Spectra soul the closing act on this
album, known for doing releases on Shogun, Renegade, sound trax & other

well! NOOKIE takes a different approach this time with some tearout amen beats
with some dirty stinking bass! For a producer that does 99% of his tracks in
the more liquid style this is a different look for the master of soul!
Absolutely disgusting!! The flip brings his more normal approach with some deep
rolling flex with some super stretch basslines and skippy beats this is one for

SAN004CD
Young Ax :
Higher Ground : Santorin : CD
Addressee: Alexander
Zwingenberger. Content: rare as fuck state-side Funk. “I listen to a lot of
Jazz and vintage Funk, but also Old School Hip Hop. I try to carry this vibe
into Drum’n’Bass music,” says Alex, better known among heads as Young Ax. “Back
in the days I was fascinated by breaking down and cutting the music. Then, when
I was on the road with “No Solo”, there was just Hip Hop for me. When I was
eleven, I was watching “Beat
Street” and it stuck.
This easy way of performing music, partying, dancing - similar to Drum’n’Bass
today”. Young Ax has had vinyl releases on Santorin, Brand:Nu, Critical, beatalistics and Vibez, contributed to
compilations for Annie Mac, “Ambassadors” and “High Vitality” and was featured
on the BBC’s Grooverider, Annie Mac and Zane Lowe shows. Now we are proud to
present his debut album, an extensive showcase of Young Ax’ material. “I
definitely don’t like predictable tracks, based on loops and stuff. I want something
to happen during the tune. It’s like a live show where someone is playing a
wrong note”. In that respect, Young Ax teams up with composer and pianist
Sebastian “Mason” Maassen, who adds some Fender Rhodes improvisations. The two
are currently working on their joint “Electronic Jazz” project. There is no
place for cold electronic sounds on these lively and complex eleven tracks. At
the same time, “Higher Ground” does not need one vocal track. This is just 100%
pure Young Ax in essence: bridging the gap between musical ambition and rocking
the dancehall.

DJ Trax : Warmth
/ B’s Theme : Paradox : 12"
Finish copy promo.
Moving Shadow hardcore veteran Dj Trax makes his debut on Paradox Music with a
beautiful 12” that ticks all the correct boxes. A great start to 2008 as Trax
delivers ‘Warmth’, a roller with real class in production and arrangement. Soothing
vocals intro ‘Warmth’ with impressive piano hooks. As the breaks enter and
gather momentum the track builds up to a switch of tougher beats and bass but
still keeps it tight together. The track rolls well into a breakdown of pure
quality that demonstrates the dnb knowledge and experience of the producer.
‘Warmth’ add’s another fine chapter to the timeless catalogue of Paradox Music.
On the flip Trax switches the funk drum kit and takes you on a breakbeat ride
synamous with the Paradox Music style and sound. Piano scales open up ‘Bs
Theme’ into an impressive slice of funk and bass. The breaks and catchy b-line
nod your head along with strings and synth arpeggio’s which add to the theme.
Once again Trax displays real funk and emotion thru Paradox Music. Enjoy! Who’s
playing them?.. Makoto, Alix Perez, BigBud, Flight, Marcus Intallex, A-Sides,

debut Breaks release. Presenting two monstrous tracks from the giants of
D&B scene, remixed by two of breakbeats leading artists. Firstly, the
mighty 'Aquasky' step up to remix Noisia's ‘Brainstitch’. Originally a huge
track in its own right, Aquasky have flipped the concept on its head, coming
with trademark beats, bass and vocal tom-foolery. Secondly, Quest remixes one
of the biggest drum & bass anthems of recent years..... Jonny L's 'Back To

dancefloors for the last 6 months. Quest gives this tune an injection of
energy, with his own breaks twist. A Noisia - Brainstitch (Aquasky Remix) AA

electronic twisted snare assault on an anthem that needs no more introduction.
Eddy Temple-Morris, the Xfm radio legend, and Cooper Temple Clause’s Tom

previous release ‘Killing In The Name’, the amazingly well received bootleg of
Rage Against The Machine, sold out week of release, and has been their

Flex De Funk :
Heading On A Mission : Gene Pool
canadas flexdefunk debuts with his heading
on a mission track on gene poole music. packed with lyrics from new zealands top-mcs kyla and d-man flexdefunk
provides a nice and tough vocaltune with lots of groove and vibes. philipe de
boyar takes the vocals and the essences of the track and gives them a rough
electro re-rub with a great breakbeat as groundbase. tuned up with lots of
nuskool/oldschool sounds that are so fresh and 2008-like the remix becomes a
first quality dancefloor-bomb. pdb manages to walk the frontier between electro
and breakbeat still leaving a b-boy-vibe in his high quality production. with
this remix pdb proves he is one of the talents for 2008 to be watched out. the
marschmellows remix is full-on breakbeat in a london-style, working perfectly
with the vocals of mc kyla and making it a peaktime-tune for all
breakbeat-dancefloors and more. shaping the sound for upfront breakbeat- and
electro-productions the frankfurt/viennese production-team creates a slamming
remix that includes most of the vocals of the original at the same time being
extremely danceable and groovy. heading on a mission including its remixes is a
must in every djs recordbox, just choose the remix that suits your set the

something different to the label in the form Chaotic Pulse’s ‘Eternal Night’.
The A side is a techy dancefloor drum n bass killa. Powerful bass driven drums
and lashing snares are brought together with mutating synthetic bass, that will
drive the dancing crew crazy. The AA sees the remix from Phat Riders and he

Westway :
Westway to The World : Westway : CD
Step ’cross! And do
a fat skank. The Westway breakbeat massive are charging along the West London road artery with a truckload of
electronic funk and reggae-soaked android grooves to get peeps jumping. The
infamous collaboration of arch beat-fiends Carl Loben and erstwhile Dub Pistol
Barry Ashworth, Westway was never gonna be a normal record label, but we
couldn’t have prepared for this onslaught of electronic goodness. Their first
label compilation ‘Westway To The World’, ably mixed by label dons Drum Monkeys
and Dogtown Clash, is an exhilarating smash-and-grab raid on electronic club
culture and beyond. Dogtown Clash themselves contribute the ten-tons-heavy
reggae horn licks, breakbeats, Ladbroke Groove raps and deep electro synths of
‘West London’s Burning’; Moriarty deliver sick underground electro; Italian
maverick Madox gives us ‘Funkadelic’ and lives up to that lofty title; and
Velours Brothers throw the Molotov cocktail that is the guitar filth of ‘Punk
Rock’ and sit back to admire their handiwork as the dancefloor chaos reigns.
The finest moment is Dogtown Clash’s ‘Ya Bitch’, a pitch-black electro-bass
emission with neck-snapping breaks and dirty rhymes. Westway’s gleeful
disregard of genre boundaries and riotous punk spirit is an invigorating shot
in the arm and the perfect antidote to streamlined minimal boredom. Westway,
the world is yours!

promos. A side. Caspa - Ooh R Ya: Kicking off the ‘License To Thrill’ series is
the long awaited banger; Ooh R Ya? This one has been battered by the likes of
N-Type, Rusko, The Others and of course Caspa. It’s is an ‘in your face
stomper‘, with an absolutely outrageous bass line with bundles of energy and signature
sample, Caspa sets the pace for the ’License To Thrill’ series. Side B1:Orien -
Equinox: The debut track from the latest edition to the Dub Police camp; West London’s Orien. This one is a spaced out
roller with warping, squelching bass lines and eerie growling synths that keep
you moving; expect to hear more forthcoming Dub Police material from the man
like Orien. Side B2:L-Wiz - Mary Jane: Dub Police veterans, L-Wiz come with
another melodic dubwize track that has been in public demand for a while now.
This is standard L-Wiz business, with dubbed out horns, plucked spacey guitars
and a deep weighty sub. This one’s a right Bobby Dazler from Stockholm‘s finest
and adds a nice diversity to the EP.

promos. A. Rusko - Original Cut: The man like Rusko strikes again, with another
devastating anthem that has gained support from Skream, Hatcha, Tubby and
N-Type to name a few. With its cheeky melodies, rasta man samples and a
seriously heavy bass line, this won't fail to disappoint. Fans of tracks like
'Jahova', will be digging this one for sure; dub-driven madness from the man of
the moment. B1. Matty G - Street Knowledge: Matty G comes with another earth
shattering monster of a tune here; and fans of his '50,000 Watts' style tracks
will not be disappointed. If sub-low bass that rattles your chest plate and old
skool beats laced with hip-hop samples is your cup of tea, this is the one for
you. B2. Dubwoofa - Devoliz: Dub Police newbie’s Dubwoofa make their debut in
fine style here. The track has a dark, epic and mystical feel to it, with big
reverbed beats, a low rumbling sub bass and brilliant atmospheric pads and
instrumentation this is just a taste of things to come from these guys.

Up Your Spliff: Following on from their recent Dub Police single; The Others

of The Bush Chemists, this is bound to get any dance floor moving; more dark,
moody bass action from D-Code and Dexterous. B2. Kromestar - Focuz: Rounding
off the EP is the Dub Police debut for South London’s Kromestar. This techno driven stomper has been battered by all the
big guns and is sure to get you skanking. With a big dark 4x4 beat, a weighty
bass and dirty techno stabs, this one is a serious neck breaker. Another

Martyn : Velvet
/ Twenty Four : 3024 : 12"
Finished copy promo.
We welcome you to 3024 - a fresh new imprint combining the musical talents of
Martyn and the graphic artistry of Erosie. After strong releases on labels such
as Revolve:r,Soul:r Tempa and remix work for Hessle Audio and Offshore, Martyn
has created his own musical playground where dubbed out sounds, Chicago & Detroit influenced nmelodies and lots of bass dwell freely. This
first release brings you the sounds of "Velvet" a rugged beat, heavy
subbassline with a playful melancholic melody progressing to an almost euphoric
level. This track will stand out in any dj set, it is the musical side of
dubstep, or the dubby side of techno. The flip side "Twenty Four" is
a dark almost 2-step type roller, using looped chords and vocal snippets that
are progressive in a creeping kind of way, and bringing back the funk of
dubstep pioneers such as El-B and Horsepower in a 3024 fashion. As one of Europe's most rated and influential street artists Erosie
brings his unique graphic styles to the world of 3024, making this first
release a delight for the ear as well as the eye. Enjoy. "Martyn is
dealing with dubstep's groove deficiency with some of the slinkiest, lushest
productions around. its clear that dubstep's epicenter is no longer just in South London." (Kode9 - Hyperdub)
"Following on from the infectious 'everything about you' on Tempa, Martyn
once again comes correct with this next level of deep and dubbed out visions.
Good for the head and the dance floor. 5/5" (Rob Smith aka RSD) "This
release on Martyn's debut label is a proud way to introduce to the world the
unique sound Martyn is bringing to the dubstep scene" (Headhunter - Tempa)
"A huge talent.. The Dennis Bergkamp of dance" (Marcus Intalex -

Destructive presents: DST005 The Lost Lacquers EP Vol 1, an outlet for the lost
Dubstep gems of yeseteryear that, for reasons unknown, never made the
transition from Dubplate to Vinyl, but still hold their weight to this day.
Disc One A Positive - Search & Destroy. Piercing synth lines and an ugly
bottom end gallop relentlessly over S&D's signature rhythmical drums. B
Vicious Circles - Distance .This one's a deep journey into Distances'
disgustingly dark and breakier style. Broken beats and razor cut bass pull you
down into the abyss of the dark princes' earlier creations. Disc Two C Reflect
– Toasty. What can we say? This one's a personal from the legendary Toasty. A
deep roller with Sharp percussive bounce to it. One from the vault that we just
had to unleash. D Dark Horse - Scandalous unltd .This is an absolute monster of
a track. A definitive blast from the past that has destroyed dancefloors from
FWD and beyond. Dirty grooves just how we like em. a Search & Destroy -
