3DMODE10-1
DJ Devize : Enforcer ft. MC Accapello / Badguy : 3D Mode :
12"
It is official 3D
Mode can finally confirm the definite release date of the most anticipated, much
deliberated, long awaited EP in at least 3d Mode's history. The 3 Star General
DJ Devize is now ready to unveil his evil plan of mass destruction. A Side: Dj
Devize – 'Enforcer' ft. Mc Accapello : Setting the vibe & standards on this
smasher of a track. A nicely balanced roller containing punchy penetrating
beats, alongside a morphing bassline enhanced with twisted sweeps not forgetting
the fact of being finely complimented by the precise lyrical flow of 3D Mode and
Kool Fm Midlands very own MC Accapello. You can only expect nothin less than the
best on this track. AA Side: Dj Devize ‘Badguy’ : Is a straight up no messin,
steppin, gutter gangsta track, which holds subliminal messages to those who have
expressed or contributed hate.
Keeping things simple with dramatic strings, old skool stabs, crisp beats
and a disgusting bassline- what more do you need? DJ support coming from: DJ Hazard,
Randall, A-Sides, Krust, Nicky Blackmarket, L-Double, Sappo, Cabbie plus many
more.

Cativo & Hedj : Promise / Bang Your Head : Assimulate Records :
12"
Get ready for this
one! Serious bizzle right here! These two guys are just genius with there techy
like breakdown that drops into some mental bass in ya face action. Punching
beats that roll through, and the different bass variations this one is pure
fire! The flip brings some heavy metal to the table! Its dirty guitar bass that
does wonders then switches to just filth! Driving throughout this will cause a
riot amongst the dancefloor! LIMITED PROMOS AVALIABLE

CLS007
Atlantic Connection : Dimension X / Mindslip : Celsius :
12"
Celsius Recordings
Returns after a brief break to descent to the nether regions of sound where
badman Atlantic Connection has cooked up two productions of the most excellent
proportions. "Dimension X" on the A
side shows what kind of bass manipulation is up Atlantic Connection's
sleeve. Added samples taken from
old school Sci Fi movies top this track off to bring an eerie vibe that
contaminates the dancefloor like a martian virus. On the flip is "Mindslip,"
this track starts off with a melodic intro but slips into a more rugged sound
after the break. It will remind you
of the early Commix stuff with a little nudge of Lomax on the side.. Atlantic
Connection is definitely one to watch out for the coming years!

CONTAM001
Masheen & Sleeper Cell / Masheen : A Physical Reality / Vertigo :
Cell Contaminated : 12"
Objective: Contaminated Recordings is all about pushing
Drum & Bass forward to the next level! With new and established artists our
aim is to create a new unique sound ready to blow up dance floors and
contaminate the mind into a state of un-surreal reality. Background:
Contaminated is a joint project from Masheen & Sleeper Cell. A. Masheen
& Sleeper Cell – ‘Physical Reality’. Starting off with deep pads and razor
sharp stabs it’s just the calm before the storm as you are hurtled into the
punch of crisp beats, creeping bass and haunting vocals. Just as you think it’s
all over you are immediately hit with dirty bass stabs and gut wrenching bass. A
sure fire hit to smash up any dance floor. AA. Masheen – Vertigo Hitting off
with dark terrifying sounds you are immediately sucked into another realm. Deep
bass stabs, techno kicks and bleepy synths all coming in, you suddenly realise
this is no ordinary tune as it rolls along like a minimal Techno stomper! As you
get sucked in deeper the pace increases and before you know it you are involved
in a full on Techno onslaught! This one is not for the faint hearted! DJ support
from Ed Rush & Optical, Trace, John B, Raiden, Proket, Sunchase, Axiom,
Nphonix, Kano, NC-17, Pyro.

SpectraSoul : Ceramic / Tomorrow’s Promise : Soundtrax :
12"
SpectraSoul is the
alias of Brighton

minds combine in the studio. Taking inspiration from a diverse range of musical
influences, spanning Soul to Hip Hop, and even World Music to Cinematic grooves,

soul-fuelled sounds and organically grooved beats that shine through. Musicality
plays a pivotal part of the SpectraSoul sound, combining organic musical
elements with low end frequencies to bridge the gap between creative music and
up-front dance floor beats. This is a key aspect of the duos sound. SpectraSoul

FOKUZLTD016
Enei / Cerebral Productions : Parallel / Profile : Fokuz Ltd :
12"
Fokuz Ltd brings
those exclusive sounds once again! This time featuring two new artists who are
just to good to be unsigned. They
bring two heavy oldskool rollers just for the people who thought the old Metro /
Virus sound was at its end. The A side is Enei a new guy from
Russia with lots of experience under his belt and doesn't hold
back from showing it. "Parallel" is a tune that fits the new Fokuz Ltd sound
perfectly- heavy stabbing kicks, wicked edits and awesome mid range action shows
that this track is one of great proportions! The B side offers "Profile" by the
one and only Cerebral Productions aka Cortex, this track has some heavily
inspiration from the alltime classic "Tightrope," but only updated for the
2007. The track rolls, mashes and
it's just too good to be true. A
must for every DJ who brags to their friends that the old Matrix stuff is
better!

AM003
Alaska & Kirsty Hawkshaw : Juneau / Glaciation : Arctic Music :
12"
Finished Copy White
Vinyl Promo. Alaska has always been a fan of Kirsty Hawkshaw dating back to
the 1996 LTJ Bukem’s Good Looking records classic ‘Close your Eyes’ by The
Chameleon, so to capture the talents of Miss Hawkshaw for a full-on vocal 12” is
something that we’re proud of here at Arctic Music. ‘Juneau’ enters with
Alaska’s trademark ambient loop hooks laying a cold and ethereal platform for
Kirsty to deliver and when the fast breakbeats kick-in everything becomes clear
and you know you are listening to a timeless and beautiful piece of music in
real-time. As ‘Juneau’ progresses, strings, choir pads and bleeps emerge with
the vocal chorus capturing the audience with its simplicity as the breaks roll
and let the vocals breath right up to an ad-lib crescendo of pure quality.
Listen and enjoy! Alaska flexes his musical muscles with ‘Glaciation’ and takes
you on a glacial journey through the Arctic Circle! Kirsty Hawkshaw supply’s the vocal harmony’s to
beautiful perfection as the breaks glide the music alongside the deep and low
sinewave bass, so sit back, relax and enjoy the sounds of ‘Glaciation’. This is
one you definitely won’t hear on a DnB club sound system and we don’t even
expect you
to.

SYNTAX001
SKC / Subwave & Electrosoul System : Vortex / Universal Dimension :
System Syntax : 12"
Finished Copy Promo. Following releases on labels such as
Hospital, Commercial Suicide and Renegade Hardware we welcome top Hungarian dnb

dancefloor funk tech of "Vortex," a deep neuro infused roll out... you get the
picture. Tight beats, driving bass and awesome production are the mark of this
producer's output and this 12" is no different. "Vortex" is a dancefloor
bassline roller of the highest order! DJ support on this release has come from

TILT008
Spinor / Budoka : Moloch / Ritual : Tilt :
12"
Finished Copy Promo.
delivers another solid Neurofunk tune by Darmstadt's finest aka Budoka, and a Techno influenced piece by
Spinor, the very third guest artist on the label. Spinor - "Moloch" Located in
the Netherlands, Spinor has earned respect in the world of Drum & Bass since
2004 with releases on Dreazz' Triple Vision labels Citrus, Love and Piruh, also
he has put out a tune on Crossfire Recordings and on the netlabel T-FREE.
Although Spinor is rather known for Neurofunk with deep, melodic pads and
midranges, "Moloch" received a lot of respect in the Techno-DNB scene even
before its release, even though Spinor is still a relatively new name to this
sub genre of Drum & Bass. And now this monstertune has eventually found a
proper home on Tilt-Recordings. The intro's dark atmosphere and driving beat
make clear where the journey will go, and the powerful drop proves that there is
just no alternative to high energy music. No need to say much more about
"Moloch", it simply is a sure shot on the dancefloor. Budoka - "Ritual" This
artist should be well known to people following the releases on Tilt-Recordings,
since he was not only the first artist on this label but has also provided many
of the tunes being released on it since T!LT#001 in 2003/2004. Now on TILT008,
Budoka continues the good work he has done with his former releases: "Ritual" is
a phat and juicy Neurofunk DJ-tool with a heavily pumping bassline, decent
midrange arrangements woven around oriental strings and a breakdown which
surprisingly opens a window to a far out universe full of dark secrets.

flipside we have Bal’s ‘Remembrance’. A pure hypnotic roller in the spirit of
Photek. Fielding machine noise, nervy FX and industrial funk bass line, giving

Warren G ft. Nate Dogg : Regulate (D&B Vocal Mix) / Regulate (D&B
Dub Mix) : Unknown : 12"
Limited White label promo. Sourcing and expertly chopping
up Michael McDonald’s 1975 masterpiece ‘Keep Forgettin’ (better known as the
hook from Regulate), this cheeky little white label offers you both vocal and
instrumental versions - and it’s set to be one of the biggest bootlegs of 2008!
Here’s what some people have had to say… “On paper, a drum & bass remix of
Warren G and Nate Dogg’s hip-pop classic sounds like an idea destined to be
filed away in the cheese archive… So we’ve ignored the full vocal version and
opted for the great dub version on the flip. Complete with hustling diatribe and
those classic Michael McDonald Fender Rhodes licks - this works REALLY well…”
(Mixmag) ”Someone beat me to it with that Regulate remix - ya bastards! Just
started one a few months ago...but this pisses on my version anyway!…”
(Logistics – Hospital Records) ”Another mighty work from one of soulful
D&B’s most respected producers. Am loving your work! …”(John B – Metalheadz
/ Beta Recordings).

Henry & Louis ft. Prince Green : Answer : 2 Kings :
10"
Andy Scholes' of
Henry & Louis recorded the original, yearning Tony Tuff vocal to "Answer"
during the mid nineties at the legendary Channel One, Kingston Town - one of the
holiest of studio spaces in Jamaica. Tuff's pedigree since the early classic
African Brothers' sides such as "Righteous Kingdom" is beyond question, and here
the loops and arcs of his vocal taps into that same spiritual feeling, as he
sends out "a message to all corners of the earth". Rob Smith of More Rockers
fame stays true to this heritage for his remix, like the long term, dyed in the
wool true roots man he is, underpinning the Prince Far-I echoes of Prince
Green's inspirational dj delivery with considerable bass pressure. Ras Stryka
Dread's mix ascribes a fluid digital reggae low end flow to proceedings which
should fairly sing on the more digitally inclined systems. The flip holds two
delicious wild cards - The Cure's "Lullaby" is yanked out of the doom-laden
surroundings of the classic "Disintegration" album and injected with some
delightful and surprising sunshine vibes, Sledgehead running vocal and dub
remixes which could well become defining sunset records for the summer we're all
hoping may well yet arrive. Which leaves a seismic Pinch remix to completely
rush the sound - unpacking the crucial yard credentials atop a skeletal,
rigorous stepper - proper uptempo dancefloor material with a deadliest floor
covering bass hum which should only come to true life on the sturdiest, largest
systems, it concludes a totally essential ep in bravura fashion. a1 Henry &

After the sell-out
success of their first release (TRG’s ‘Put You Down’), the Hessle Audio crew
return with a three track 12" by newcomer Pangaea, with each track exploring
different facets of the dubstep sound. A side 'Coiled' has received airplay from
Mary Anne Hobbs on BBC Radio 1 Experimental as well as from Distance on
Rinse.fm, and it's not difficult to see why. Subtle pads alongside clipped and
rhythmically busy drums eventually give way to a sound system-testing bassline.
Drawing influences from dark garage and warm electronica, it's a deceptively
devastating tune that weaves its way into the listener’s brain. The B side sees
Pangaea exploring his sound further. Ignoring the current trend towards
throwaway dancefloor material, 'Nest' is a texturally dense slice of meditative
dubstep. Its warped bassline underpins dusty atmospherics and melancholy
strings. 'Deviant' rounds off the proceedings in spectacular fashion, sounding
like the South
London equivalent of mid-90s
Berlin. Listening to this tune, it's easy to understand why
this release has drawn praise from techno luminaries such as T++ (Monolake), and
drum and bass producers Martyn and Breakage. With a busy schedule of releases
confirmed, Hessle Audio is definitely a label to follow in 2008 and
beyond.

V/A : Hotflush Presents... Space and Time : Hotflush :
3x12"
Hotflush Recordings
is a label that from the beginning has pushed the musical boundaries of dubstep.
Over the last four years the label has released more than 25 innovative 12”
singles, launching some of the biggest names in the scene and introducing more
new talent than anyone else. Space and Time 3X12” LP is a compilation of
exclusive, unreleased, ground-breaking tracks that illustrates the other side of
dubstep in 2007. The compilation features the debut from the incredibly exciting
live act Jazzsteppa, along with appearances from the first female dubstep
producer of note, Vaccine. Established names such as Elemental, Gravous,
Slaughter Mob and Scuba, and a remix of Toasty’s The Knowledge by the legendary
distortion dub kings Vex’d. Space and Time is the sound of the future and the
sound of now.

IBR001
23Hz & Numaestro : Al Andalus / Praise Dub : Iberian :
12"
This label is
effectively the first label in the Iberian Peninsula to release Dubstep tracks. 'Al-Andalus' is a perfect
example of the “Mediterranean” sound being developed by 23Hz + Numaestro.
Starting with a vocal sample from Moroccan music the introduction is joined by
an accordion type riff – curiously sounding not too dissimilar to Augusto
Pablo’s distinctive melodica sound – which leads to the drop. Here a massive
sub-bass with stabbing mid-frequencies enters the fray, which drives the track
along with skanking half-step beats which have plenty of springreverbed snares
and slicing hats. The heavily effected sampled voice is placed in the mix to
give extra atmosphere whilst the opening riff leads us to a semi-drop which
leaves just the sub before proceeding to a false drop before the riff and sample
are introduced once again which finally take the track into its homestretch.
This track oozes distinctive character and is guaranteed to smash the dance
floor as well as providing a deep meditative vibe. 'Praise Dub' starts with a vocal sample
from Algerian music - a short introduction leads to the drop. Then a rampaging
descending scale bass line comes into play set against tight stepping swinging
beats. This track is built round the b-line and beats which are given junglesque
details. High strings and atmospheric FX, together with the vocal sample are
spliced into the tune to give texture. The tune works through another drop and
then proceeds to a breakdown. After which the bass line is reversed - designed
to surprise the dancefloor - before returning to the original groove and final
climax. This is an exercise in energetic bass n beats, referencing early jump
-up jungle [without any of its predictable excesses] and two-step swing - given
the trademark 23Hz+Numaestro Mediterranean twist. A real goodtime club banger -
this tune has been a fixture in Numaestro's DJ sessions proving to be a crowd
fave!

Slaughter Mob : Back From The Future EP : Southside Dubstars :
12"
Fresh dubstep
pressure from Slaughter Mob who deliver a diverse EP comprising three tracks.
The A side, 'Horror,' is the most immediate and the most direct for the
dancefloor with a mutating bassline propelling the whole shebang. On the B side
two more experimental tracks can be found. The pacey 'Tinji 2' and the skanking
'Lion Claw'. Top package.
