RAMM69

Xample : Get Out Clause / Infamous : Ram : 12"
4/5 in DJ "Xample rops another dancefloor friendly 12" on Ram."  "Get Out Clause" has been causing mayhem all over since early 2007 for the select few lucky enough to have it on dubplate. First aired exclusively at the Ram Records party at WMC 2007 with devistating effect. The track's huge drop is led to by crisp percussion, sonar bleeps and synth lines to die for. The production is second to none with hints of early Dillinja. "Infamous" is a pure tear-out DJ tool. Great structure alone secures this as a must play tune, but ad this to crisp beats, driving b lines and gangster vocal hook and you've got an anthem on your hands. Anticipation on this 12" is very high and with "Infamous" only being available to DJís since Sept / Oct 07 this isnít set to change. Xample has been getting constant plays from the likes of Andy C, Sub Focus, Pendulum, Hype, TC, Bryan G and Grooverider to name but a few with this release.

31R036

Lynx : Inhale Exhale / Beware Of Oscars Lair : 31 Records : 12"
Following stunning releases on Creative Source and Soul:r, Steve Lynx is certainly one producer to watch. Coming with a sound totally unique and refreshing, this 31 Records offering is no different. The dark, brooding Hip Hop-inspired beast Inhale Exhale features MC Kemo on vocals, while the steppy funk of the flip is journey back to the Bristol funk of the the late 90's with a 2007 twist.

INNA021

Insight : Jaw Breaker / Leap Of Faith : Inneractive Music : 12"
As one of the scene's new breed shaking things up, Insight makes his Inneractive debut with a minimal techno inspired track. Jaw Breaker's filtering riffs and horns accompany hard snapping beats and percussion that build making the track almost trance-like, going deep into the psyche of any dancefloor. The flip, 'Leap Of Faith', hits with deep, emotive strings that juxtapose hardcore stabs and acid in this journey propelled by sharp rolling breaks. Support from the likes of Fabio, Bailey, Spirit, D-Bridge, Lee and more.

CRSE051

Will Miles : Turn This Way / Summer Rain : Creative Source : 12"
Being around for over 2 decades, Fabio has acquired legendary status for good reason. Starting his career as a Pirate Radio DJ in the mid 80's he has gone through genres such as Dub, Rare Groove, Hip Hop, early House, Jungle and Drum and Bass. It's a credit to him that after all these years he's still at the top of his game. Now known as the liquid funk master, Fabio has single handily pioneered the Liquid Funk Drum & Bass scene and has always stayed true to the music he loves. Always supporting new talent- Will Miles is from Richmond, VA, USA and yet another quality signing to Fabio’s label.  Support from Fabio, LTJ Bukem and Breakage.

OK009

Propaganda : Blu 82 / Mercenary : Offkey : 12"
Blu 82 starts innocently enough by emanating haunting stings and a series of punchy breaks, but the mood is then altered by a roaring beast of a bass line that shocks the track towards a more sinister direction. After building up ferociously into an orchestrated frenzy, the track is then expertly tamed singling out unique electronic sounds and noises; making way for a final crescendo and welcome back the roaring baselines and piercing beats. A definite crowd pleaser. On the flip, 'Mercenary' is a different kind of beast, yet less dangerous. The tune is slick and fast with a rock hard core which epitomises the best of techno influenced Drum & Bass. It starts as it means to go on and grabs you almost hypnotically. The tune takes several twists and turns but its course remains true making it a hyped up demon of a track perfect for any serious DJ’s arsenal.

SECOPS009

Seba : Warriors / Legions : Secret Operations : 12"
Warriors was originally scheduled for Goldie's Metalheadz label. Now its finds its way on to Seba’s own Secret Operations label. Warriors has a lot of inspiration from early Metalheadz and the days when there were releases out with a “R” on the centre label. Legions is another dark breakbeat driven-mayhem from Seba. Horror movie strings, horn stabs and ever changing breaks give this track a ‘Source Direct’ retro feel.

SOM001

State Of Mind : Dead Zone ft. Axiom / Real Mcoy (Black Sun Empire Rmx) : SOM Music : 12"
New Zealand’s State of Mind finally kick off their eagerly awaited imprint in fine style. Teaming up with the talented Axiom, the lads present the A-side ‘Deadzone’. Beginning with State of Mind style signature ethnic vocals, the tune floats beautifully through the intro creating tension and depth before finally dropping heavy into some seriously grimey club buisso. Perhaps the hardest tune State of Mind have produced so far. The flip features the Black Sun Empire remix of the State of Mind classic ‘Real McCoy’. Originally released on CIA recordings, ‘Real McCoy’ has found its way onto numerous mix compilations over the last few years, most notably the High Contrast Fabric Live mix CD. To make the launch of S.O.M Music that bit more special, the lads licensed the track and got this remix done. This effort is nothing short of a total reworking, a prefect balance of both artists unique sounds. This has been floating around a select bunch of record bags for the last little while and is not one to be missed. Support from Friction, Ed Rush and Optical, Calyx and Teebee, Black Sun Empire, Dieselboy, Keaton, Hive, Squire, Concord Dawn and more. Hive : “ What is it about New Zealand that breeds these D&B super-producers? Is it something in the drinking water? Whatever it is, I love it. Bring it on.” Friction : “Naughty…” Ed Rush: “Deep rolling dirty badness, I didn't want them to release this so soon so it would remain exclusive a while longer, still gonna stay in my box for a long while to come”

EXIT009

D-Bridge : Freedom Club / The Haven : Exit : 12"
This is the first release in the run up to D Bridge's first solo album, The Gemini Principle, due next year. The second single that ties in will come out in February 2008. "Freedom Club"- Step into the future soundtracks of blaxploitation circa 2070. Hybrid-funk of the highest order. This track strikes different and reminds us all not to betray the gifts we all have. Tougher than most people seem to think D-Bridge  is about but for those who remember his days as part of Future Forces Inc. and co-founder of Renegade Hardware won't be suprised. "The Haven"- D-Bridge digs deep into his sample collection and swathes you in the allaying chords of The Alan Parsons Project. Like arriving home after a long journey.

BINGO074

Sam Snee : Sam Snee Anthem / Everybody : Bingo : 12"
Known for not only a commendable across the board diversity on Bingo, but also for bringing through new names alongside established sellers, Sam Snee is rapidly develping as Bingo's resident "jump up" provider. Both tracks are aimed squarely at the dancefloor and don't disappoint, cheeky basslines and tight production are the order of the day. DJ support from Chase & status, Zinc, Nicky BM and TC.

BB1228

Breakage : Hindsight EP : Bassbin : 2x12"
Following on from Breakageís massive 12" on Digital Soundboy, he returns home to Bassbin with a very diverse EP, dark, smooth, deep and heavy, he covers all angles. The EP opens with "Hindsight" an amen dubwise roller, in the same vein as "So Vain", huge bassline alongside vocal snippets of Horace Andy. Next up is a rework of one of the highlights off "This Too Shall Pass", "Losing Track", this rhythym is fresh and inspired. "Lightwieght" is a dark, sparse and deep roller with touches of hardcore in the beats, the EP is nicely rounded off with the dubby "Come back", another delve into the half time world of DnB that Breakage is making a speciality. All the tracks have received support on KISS (Hype), RADIO1 (Fabio and Grooverider), 1 XTRA (Bailey and Flight) and Club Suppport from Hype, Fabio, Grooverider, Teebee, D-Bridge, Marcus Intalex, Calibre, Marky, Loxy, Bailey, Flight, Zinc, Alix Perez, Lynx, Zero Tolerance, etc.

FORM12123

Muffler : The Game / Floorfiller : Formation : 12"
With a host of releases on Formation Records and it's sister labels, MUFFLER a.k.a KONSTA has certainly made an impact with his unique and original style of production. "The Game" starts of with an electro, computer effect intro. 8bit blips and bleeps rock steady with a cool hip-hop feel, which explodes into a blinding guitar synth with rolling drumís and bass underneath. This is a must have tune for any respectable dance floor DJ. "Floor Rocker"- this steam locomotive roller vibes through out the intro with progressive pads and synths creeping along until the break gently glides you to a heavy bass drop and synth lead. This tune is designed to get crowds feet moving.

FTREC1204

Prolific : Momentum / Subside : Future Thinkin : 12"
ATM "Serious and moody","Gracefully crafted". This young West London based duo caught Future Thinkin's attention after being put in touch by a mutual friend and were quickly snapped up after showing a high level of consistency and quality in their productions. Prolific have also grabbed the attention of Goldie & Baileyís Rufige imprint and recently appeared on MC Verse's Crunch Recordings. The F side "Momentum" is a bass driven monster with an old skool feeling that has the range to move crowds from Herbal to Heaven and is gaining serious support from a whole host of DJ's. Flipping over to the T side "Subside" is a roller tinged with darkness that steps its way through the dance to great effect. Both tracks enjoying strong support from the likes of Grooverider, Hype, Fabio, Bailey, Storm, Friction, D Bridge, Logistics, DJ Marky and many, many more.

IND027

Holdtight & Kleer / Lomax : Blazius / Dweeb : Industry : 12"
Industry are back from their self-imposed 12 month break and boy do we have some crackers coming for you! First up is Holdtight & Kleer with Blazius, already receiving play from Andy C, Bailey, Loxy and Friction amongst others, this tune has been hurting ravers around the world for a few months now. Slightly tougher than the usual Holdtight output, this one sets things off right, with big stabs and banging beats and bass. Reminiscent of Metalheadz and Photek this one will bring back a few memories whilst being totally up to date at the same time. On the flip is Lomax’s debut outing on the label; despite numerous Industry releases as part of Holdtight, this is the first time he has appeared solo. What a mighty fine debut it is too; Dweeb is classic Lomax, mixing the deep old school sound of jungle with new school production. This one is a deep roller with fat bass, great for mixing and even better for the crowd! Radio plays on 1 Xtra, Kiss and BBC Radio 1.

DISTURBD011

Catacomb / Rregula & Dementia : Euroballs / City Of Dogs : Disturbed : 12"
First up its the Canadian captain Catacomb this man can do no wrong, while his Syndrome 12" is still terrorising the floors its up to Euroballs to up the pressure a bit, this tune will grab you by the nutsack and swing you around like a jealous girlfriend with PMS. Definitely not one for the fainted hearted! Then its up to Rregula & Dementia to dish out some of their own fearless funk, their tune City of Dogs sounds more like a whole nation of dogs that are howling for more of this evil piece or funk!
http://www.sectormediadistro.com/audio/DISTURBD011.m3u

MEDIC006

Craggz : My Detroit / Flick The Switch : Med School : 12"
The sixth Med School installment has arrived courtesy of Newcastle's own Craggz. Believe it or not it’s Craggz’s first solo 12” and, true to form, the Product/Valve man has delivered two bass-heavy club smashers.“My Detroit” is a phat slice of future funk that does exactly what it says on the tin. Harking back to finest electronic music to come out of the Motor City with it's bleepy techno influences. 8 bit pads lull you into a false sense of security before the blistering drop knocks the dancefloor sideways. Shuffling percussion and subliminal sci-fi detailing keep everything rolling, but it's the skull-crushing low end which propels the track forward and will have your eyeballs shaking in their sockets. Filling out the rest of the prescription is “Flick The Switch” which keeps the temperature soaring with an even more minimal outlook. Hypnotising synth stabs are peppered over crushing beats which poke their heads through another monster bassline. Yet again the Valve style mixdown is in full and deadly effect. Needless to say these tunes have already found favour with the big dogs - the likes of DJ marky and DJ flight already battering them hard.

THE023

Selectoy Moldy : Yo Baby / Ragga Steps : Thermal : 12"
New England native and baseball fan, Selector Moldy brings us his most sought after Drum & Bass tune along with one of his pre Dubstep, downtempo classics.  'Yo Baby' features an infectious old school Hip Hop sample saying just that, "yo baby."  A steppy number with a punchy staccato bassline and deeply cinematic electronic trickery- it received huge praise after it was featured on DJ Clever's Knowledge Magazine cover mix.  Flip it over for a shuffling downtempo number titled 'Ragga Steps.' With particular attention placed on the breaks programming and unique soundscapes, Moldy comes with a track that would work well in an eclectic set or stand firmly on its own as an actual song.  A quality slab from this US producer and label.

SRZ001

Tita Lima / Human Factor : A Conta do Samba (Human Factor Rmx) / Unlimited Supply : Sunrize : 12"
Sunrize Recordings is here to bring back the Brazilian Drum & Bass vibe. Always with 2 nuggets specifically targeted to both the Drum‘n’Bass and World Music DJs, the Sunrize 12” singles are very carefully produced and selected. Although pretty new in the scene, Human Factor have been very well quoted by some of the “opinion formers” in the business, as a sign of good things to come. The Human Factor’s Drum’n’Bass remix for Brazilian rising star Tita Lima has shown from Brazil to London that it’s sure to put ladies dancing on top of tables! Strong bassline and involving beats are the definite tool to enhance the sexy vocals of Tita Lima alongside the bossa guitars and the trombones of Bocato, one of Brazil’s best known musicians. This fresh tune is already charted #1 on top Brazilian DJ Patife’s September 2007 charts. Unlimited Supply is the “Soulful” side. Still with the brazilian vibe, this track is crafted to suit the needs of the soulful Drum’n’Bass DJ. Widely played by LTJ Bukem and Patife, it comes to show that the brazilian sound can be uplifting and classy at the same time. “Human Factor are my favorite producers of the Moment” - DJ Patife “These boys have got the Cosmic Funk alright…” – LTJ Bukem

TI051

Tech Itch : Claw / Hidden Faces : Tech Itch : 12"
Tech Itch brings some dutty half step skank for the A side, which will just slap you straight in the face! This one has dirty bass that hits low! With its big crisp snare slap and hard hitting kick you will just want to pull the best angry face you can! The flip is just pure classic tech itch style with its amazing drum edits and serious sub this one will go off with out a doubt  People need to buy this whether you're into drum and bass or dubstep or any other type of skanking music! This one will go off every time its dropped!
http://www.sectormediadistro.com/audio/TI051.m3u

TELLURIC005

Physics / Qumulus : Release Your Soul / Believe In You : Telluric : 12"
Physics out of Finland making his debut release on Telluric comes with a very uplifting soulfull roller, great atmospheric breakdown and soulfull piano lead. Very reminiscent of the Good looking sound. Look for more from this Artist on Telluric in 2008. Backed with a beautifull piece of music from West London's Qumulus, driving basslines and intense acid breakdowns make this a one for the fans of the deepsound.

36THCH002

DJ Vapour / Jamal : No Smoke (Jamal Rmx) / Screwheads (DJ Vapour Rmx) : 36Th Chamber : 12"
Label owner and all round producer of the moment, DJ Vapour does a nifty remix swap with another hot new talent, Jamal on the second 36th Chamber release. A rather clever swap it is indeed, as Jamal takes 'No Smoke' pulls its pants down, douses it in lighter fluid and sets light to it in a fine half-step and nightmare bass hits fashion. Backing it up is Vapour with a twisted mentasm and pounding bass slaps on his version of Jamal's 'Screwheads'. A 12" not for the faint of heart.
http://www.sectormediadistro.com/audio/36THCH002.m3u

CALYPSO006

DJ Pleasure : Flute Tune / Splinters In Your Mind : Calypso : 12"
Here we go with the next release from the Calypso camp and once again they welcome a brand new face to the label, DJ Pleasure. On the A side we have 'Flute Tune', its catchy flute intro cuts through great in the mix and neck snapping beats make way for Pleasure's signature bouncy bass tones that just keep switching throughout! On the flip 'Splinter In Your Mind' shows a grimier side to Pleasure who wastes no time in letting rip with an eerie intro and a horrible bass riff which makes you screw your face up like someone stuffed a sherbert filled lemon in your moutch and then punched you on the nose!
http://www.sectormediadistro.com/audio/CALYPSO006.m3u

INTRINSIC008
Metrik : Your World / Into The Future : Intrinsic : 12"
DJ Metrik hails from Brighton, is called Tom and enjoys chasing cats down the street with a broom. Ok, so the last fact there isn’t true at all, but it makes for great sensationalist journalism! Anyway, we have a great offer for you; would you like to get your hands on two of the hottest dancefloor liquid tunes around right now? Of course you would! Like the bastard son of AI and Subfocus, Metrik has carved a beautiful blend of ultra punchy beats, a stunning LFO bassline and incredible strings. “Your World has been the highlight of my sets since I got it... if I didn't know too much about Metrik before, then I certainly do now. Massive!” – Futurebound, “Big up Intrinsic for signing ‘Your World’, we’ve been playing it loads… that tune is rockin!” – Brookes Brothers

LDDR006

Majistrate / Logan D & 4Q : Yeti Muncher (G Dub Remix) / Fish Monger : Lowdown Deep : 12"
Generation Dub in on the remix tip for Lowdown Deep #6, this rework of Majistrates’ “Yeti Muncher” has been going down well in clubs for a number of months and is now available as finished vinyl. Not straying from their course this is the usual solid jump up from Lowdown Deep, on the flip we even get the first bow of label owner, Logan D.
http://www.sectormediadistro.com/audio/LDDR006.m3u

LIQWEED008

Heist Ft. Mc Fats : While You Wait / Rollin Good : Liqweed Ganja : 12"
Two contrasting slices of musical pie here, as Heist teams up with the inimitable vocal stylings of Singing Fats for a cheeky 12" on DJ Hype and Pascal's Liqweed Ganja label. 'While You Wait' is a slickly produced piece with tinkling piano flourishes and interspersed double bass hits riding underneath a typically smooth Fats vocal that keeps things moving ever onward. 'Rollin Good' takes things on an Amen led and (surprisingly) rolling vibe with more snippets from the Fatius one. Big in the Liqweed scene!
http://www.sectormediadistro.com/audio/LIQWEED008.m3u

NUM016

Mikal : Shake Out / Step It Up : Nu Urban : 12"
Nu Urban Music's own signing and bright young star hits wax once more with a lovely pair of club pleasing beats. Mikal is a Bath based producer with an ear for how to put together a track that works both at home and on the floor, which shines through on 'Shake Out' a Reggae soaked number with plenty of weighty bass and equally as well on 'Step It Up' another sub-low laden monster. Big tings, seen?
http://www.sectormediadistro.com/audio/NUM016.m3u

PANTIES001

Unknown Artist : Panties (D&B Mix) : Panties : 12"
Drum & Bass bootlegs have been going up in quality in the past few months, Marky & Bungle’s naughty re-rub of ‘Back Like Dat’ and Makoto & Specialist’s remix of Michael Jackson’s ‘Human Nature’ topped the sales charts and won them acclaim across the board, while it seems this defiant remix will be doing much the same. Sweet vocal snippets infused with the Mos Def original’s guitar licks mingle with razor sharp breaks and a silky smooth bassline that’s geared towards lady loving action. Put this ‘Panties’ on and you’ll be pulling ladies panties off later in the evening, no doubt!
http://www.sectormediadistro.com/audio/PANTIES001.m3u

RADIUS011

Mutated Forms : Planet Krypton / Computers : Radius : 12"
Mutated Forms coming straight out of Estonia on the latest release on DJ Hazard's Radius Recordings and what a pair of bangers they've concocted too! Coming like a speeding bullet 'Planet Krypton' hits hard with enough low end to knock Superman off his feet while the body busting 'Computers' will have you downloading some hot new moves to try out on the dancefloor as its undulating waves of stomach churning bass and razor sharp beats smack you like a Nimda virus.
http://www.sectormediadistro.com/audio/RADIUS011.m3u

RPG024

Taxman : Scan Darker / Badboy Danger : Ganja : 12"
Taxman's here to collect his revenue, and trust me, he's got some serious weaponry in his arsenal so just hand it over! 'Scan Darker' is a celebration of all things Taxman, punchy beats, esoteric bleeps and a massive warping bassline which will tear your head off and stuff it down your neck! 'Badboy Danger' goes for a halftime feel with devestating effect on the AA and manages to pack bundles of energy into half the tempo, nice.
http://www.sectormediadistro.com/audio/RPG024.m3u

SPIDER010

Wickaman & Hoodlum : Freedom / Dead By Dawn : Black Widow : 12"
Still in the midst of the hugely successful ‘Crazy World’ album project alongside the legendary J Majik, Wickaman has found time in his hectic schedule to drop a couple of bangers on his own Black Widow imprint. Following the re-issue of SPIDER009 comes, well, SPIDER010 with another pair of rib cracking speaker busters! Teaming up with the deadly Hoodlum, Wickaman drops a slick dancefloor favourite on ‘Freedom’. Punchy beats and grinding bass are washed over with a euphoric sounding vocal which ties the whole piece together nicely. ‘Dead By Dawn’ on the other hand takes things on a serious old skool tip, skippy breakbeats with chopped Amen edits and rising bass notes. Anyting test dead? Certainly bloody does mate!
http://www.sectormediadistro.com/audio/SPIDER010.m3u

RMR004

Asc : Orbit / Critical Orbit : Red Mist : 12"
A punishing yet melodic track, “Orbit” opens with an epic intro before tight crunching amens take to the stage and thrust this track straight into dancefloor territory. Heavily supported and currently taking clubs by storm all over Europe and the US, “Orbit” delivers a memorable vocal hook alongside a washing backdrop of horns and synths, and when combined with the deep subby bassline you are left with a genre-defying piece of music that will add serious weight to virtually any set. Wrapping up the 12” in style, ASC gives his own A side “Orbit” the remix treatment to create a truly stunning atmospheric masterpiece. Rather than embarking on a simple rearrangement, “Critical Orbit” completely reinvents the original, mixing up the melodies and adding an emotional feel to the track with additional vocal samples and FX. Possessing immensely well-programmed stabbing beats that pack a serious punch, "Critical Orbit" looks certain to become a defining track in the continued evolution of dancefloor-friendly atmospheric drum & bass.

TEARS001

Matrix & Futurebound : Tears : Tears : 12"
Due to popular demand the Matrix & Futurebound take on Robert Owens' classic House number 'Tears' finally makes it onto vinyl and all of you Junglists should take note! Taking the backbone of 'Family' from their recent 'Universal Truth' album, Matrix & Futurebound apply Robert Owens' soulful vocals to devastating effect and open up the original's stunning and emotive power to a whole new audience. Complete with enough punch in the beats and bass to keep the clubbers happy and with enough musicality to make the track as appropriate at home or in the car.

SLRCD3701CD

Submerged : Stars Lights The End : Obliterati : Cd
SUBMERGED teams up with Grammy award winning producer BILL LASWELL, avant-garde Japanese trumpeter TOSHINORI KONDO and drummer GUY LICATA a second time to give us the follow up to last years Method of Defiance "The Only Way To Go Is Down" album and his first solo titled album SUBMERGED "STARS LIGHTS THE END". Once again we find bass arrangements of infinite complexity by Bill Laswell mashing with Kondo's horns while distorted guitars and abrasive synths battle against one another all the while producing a perfect fusion between instrumental and software generated music. "Guy Licata, is a monster, he has got the skills to compete with any software geek in beat mangling, reaching easily two hundred BPMs." - Igloo Magazine. Submerged "Stars Lights The End" keeps Method of Defiance's hard edged drum n bass blasts, experimental dub and jazz elements only this time leans slightly toward a more aggresive sound than "The Only Way to Go Is Down". Stars Lights The End features bruising sound edits and beat contributions from Corrupt Souls, D`nee and Mark Filip. Expect extreme high quality sound again courtesy of Michael Fossenkemper who also mastered Method Of Defiance 's "The Only Way To Go is Down".

::Drum n Bass Promos::

C4CUK001

Cause 4 Concern : Pandemic / Never Acid Again : C4C : 12"
Finished copy promo. Recently reformed after a few years of inactivity, the formidable foursome known as Cause 4 Concern return to wreak havoc with their first full length album. Spread over five separate 12”s to be followed by a double CD, Pandemic picks up right where the lads left off – the leading edge of electronic music. All of the elements that made them one of the most exciting and entertaining production posses in drum ‘n’ bass remain intact, and are both refined and reinforced. Creators of sounds so sick that they cannot be suppressed, so contagious they cannot be contained, Cause 4 Concern proudly presents Pandemic. Featuring the title track, the first part is proof of the outfit’s progressive improvement, with both sides sure to deliver dancefloor satisfaction. The A side, Pandemic, is powered by an infectiously filthy riff, razor sharp midrange, and the snarling swagger of a tune more than assured of its own authority. Resistance is futile. With its fearful female vocal sample, rolling bongos, rude guitar riff and filtered horns, Never Acid Again is positively psychotropic. Mesmerising and multilayered, one listen to these lurid loops will send you on a six minute, surreal sonic trip. DJ Support from Andy C, Friction, Hype, Bailey, Goldie, Gridlok, Fierce, Concord Dawn, Dieselboy, Zinc, Ed Rush, Bad Company, D Bridge plus many more.

SDR12028

Ancronix / Amaning : Lightly Salted [EBK RMX] / Borderline : Sudden Def : 12"
This will be the first single from Sudden Def in 2008, dropping in late January and shows that this label is continuing to push its boundaries. The ’Lightly Salted’ original by Ancronix has been given a twist and is making a big noise all over again! This is down to the honed skills of EBK, who is recognised as one of the UK’s hot young producers who regularly features on Renegade Hardware, Dsci4 and Tech Itch Recordings. On the flip is the deep and soulful ’Borderline’ reminiscent of the old Reinforced Records sound. Cologne based DJ Amaning is well known across Europe & his pedigree speaks for itself after previous releases on labels like Metalheadz & Soul:r.

Limewax & The Panacea : The Empire EP : Position Chrome : 2x12"
Limited finished copy promos. Limewax & The Panacea join forces for Empire EP. Notorious as one of the hardest on the circuit and Possition Chrome has always been about combining styles into a firece mix of D&B, Techno, IDM and Breakcore.  Tracklist: Operation X, Empire, Krazee Eyes and Candyshop.

MF004

Q-Project : Jungle Is Dead / Bless U : Machine Funk : 12"
Limited white label, Big tune alert! The master craftsman strips things down and takes it back with the nostalgic tearout of 'Jungle Is Dead'. A guaranteed killer! More old skool, ragga tinged goodness on the flip of this huge 12". DJ play’s from Hype, Andy C, Bailey, DJ Vapour. Machine funk gets bigger and better with each 12”s.

BS1015

Kubiks : Mindwatcher (Heist Rmx) / No Return : BS1 : 12"
White label promo. Wham, bam, thank ya Maam. BS1 is back to get some dancefloors jumpin’. The tool on this occasion is the knockout remix of Kubiks’ ‘Mindwatcher’ by none other than producer of the moment- Heist. It bobbles, it punches, it ducks and it weaves- all the while doing what Heist and Kubiks do best, creating great tracks wrapped in a slick production style that will sound bigger than most other tunes out there. ‘No Return’ is of equal class. In typical BS1 Records tradition the B Side is designed to last. This timeless classic is one of Kubiks’ most poignant pieces. Lush pads, filtered strings and vocal stabs of the ethereal variety ensure that irrespective of what destruction you’ve caused with the A - Side, you’ve got something to soothe the soul with this defined piece.

CITRUS030

Morebeat / Subtone & Stalker : Butterfly In Hell / Nazca : Citrus : 12"
Limited white label promo. Citrus returns back to the basics with a smack damn awesome 12  you cant/wont and definitely shall not deny! Morebeat, Subtone & Stalker 3 names you should keep an eye on in the near future. Morebeat who is already known to the Citrus camp dishes out an A side that will sting like a citric explosion in the mouth.  Their tune Butterfly in hell sounds a like a deadly bar fight just begging to start- heavy kicks, dirty snares and gross basslines are the way to describe this piece of filth. The flip holds Subtone & Stalker's Citrus debut record Nazca. This record storms along like a group of hell's angels who haven't had beer for decades. DEADLY!

CFUNK033

Quest & Eskmo : Speakers Corner / Speakers Corner (Sunchase Remix) : Cyberfunk : 12"
Straight off Quest & Odissiís "Expedition to Planet Zog" album, this collaboration by Quest and Eskmo is a true representation of the driving and technical sound that Cyberfunk Recordings is known for. The track is based around a raw and powerful vocal about the "information revolution" which was the result of a sampling trip to London's famous "Speaker's Corner" in Hyde Park. Not only a fresh, phenomenal and timeless piece of music thanks to the deep and always innovative talents of two of the scenes most respected bassline scientists, but this is a track with a serious message as well that all listeners should take note of. The flip sees a remix by none other than one of Eastern Europe's hottest property in DnB, Sunchase, a name synonymous with such labels as Moving Shadow, DSCI4, Hostile and Citrus. As expected, Sunchase's dark, twisted and techy production style takes the concept laid out by Quest & Eskmo in the original to another level that DJs such as Friction and Ed Rush have already played and seen for themselves.

CLIMATE002

Safire : Shadows / Dream Carrier : Climate : 12"
Limited promo copies. Safire steps up to supply both sides of Climate Recordings' 2nd single. 'Shadows' is definitely for the dancefloor, but at the same time it certainly isn't too simple or straight forward. The nagging reece bassline builds and layers of percussion are added to the mix as the track progresses. The percussion is more predominate and persuasive on the flipside, which subsequently rolls almost relentlessly, if not for the nifty drum switches throughout. A solid debut single from Safire.

PHUZION013

Crix / Operon : I Don't Want to Lose You (Nookie Rmx) / Airports (Nookie Rmx) : Phuzion : 12"
Limited promo copies. The next installment of Phuzion is here! The badman himself Nookie remixes two heavy tracks and does it to perfection. Nookie takes a different approach this time with some tearout amen beats over dirty stinking bass. For a producer that does 99% of  his tracks in the more liquid style, this is a different look for the master of soul. Absolutely disgusting! The flip brings his more established approach- deep rolling flex and some super stretch basslines along with skippy beats. This is one for his many fans out there!

TEMPA031

Headhunter : Initiate EP : Tempa : 2x12"
Headhunter builds on his reputation with a varied, exciting & futuristic 2nd release on Tempa. Opening the EP is "Locus Lotus," an up-tempo summery 4x4 track with a soca style bouncy riddim. "Drop The Waste" is a firm favourite of Youngsta's, the heavy halftime rhythm perfectly suiting his sparse but deep style. N-Type has been caning "Sushi Brain" of late, with its distinctive submerged techno intro leading to one of the sickest drops this year. The final side sees Headhunter pursue an experimental techno direction in "Quanta", and the ghost of rave hovers in the cut-up high-pitched vocals of "Spyro", with which Rinse FM kingpin Geeneus chose to open his brand new "Rinse 01" mix CD. Radio & DJ Support from N-Type, Hatcha, Mary Anne Hobbs, Rob Da Bank, Youngsta, Skream & Tes La Rock.

ACRE001

Marlow : Convoy / Scum : Blackacre : 12"
With a full clip of underground bangers under his belt Marlow lets the world know that the apprenticeship is well and truly over with his Blackacre Debut. First up is the cerebral "Convoy" a brooding and malicious bass science experiment. Complex percussion penetrates Marlow's trademarked bass-weight as soaring strings add a distinctive soundtrack feel. On the Flip comes the fearsome "Scum", explosive drums and time/space tearing synth work have made it a sureshot tool for dancefloor motivation. This slice of heaven & hell has lead to a variety of support from Dubsteppers BunZero, DZ, MRK 1, Stinky Jim & Reso through to honourable nods from DJs Yoda & Die.

CLDUB005

Dom : Bentall Centre / On the Sly / Sodium : Clandestine Cultivations : 12"
The fifth release from Clandestine brings the first full plate devoted to producer and Clandestine co-founder Dom. Dom has been locked up all year sharpening his weapons and is now ready to take the sound by storm with compulsive riffage and stripped down raw vibes in a strong UK tradition. Receiving heavy support from Distance, Darkside, Underground Ice, Boomnoise, Tootsi, Whistla and the Clandestine family with tracks played daily on Rinse and Sub FM as well as all the biggest dances this year, these three tracks represent a pinnacle in soundsystem workout, visceral dubstep. With an ever growing arsenal of new dubs every week, Dom is well on his way to becoming one of the biggest names in the scene in 2008.

HENRY005

Cyrus : Claret / Fools Day / Long Story : 3.5 : 12"
Cyrus delivers the goods once again with his trademark minimalist style. ‘Claret’ hits a fine balance between dirt and depth that evolves throughout the track and envelops the mind. ‘Fools Day’ sees the veteran experiment with some ‘dubbyer’ influences, while still retaining the trademark Random Trio sound. Finally ‘Long Story’ takes on darker territory with an infectious pulsating bassline that is devastatingly simple and straight to the point. A well balanced EP from one of the masters of the genre.
http://www.sectormediadistro.com/audio/HENRY005.m3u

MODE005

The Subdivision : Apocalypto / Devils Kiss : Mode : 12"
The SubDivision, a Italian/Hawaiian-based duo, enter the scene delivering the goods yet again for Mode Recordings. Apocalypto starts out with a cinematic drawn-out intro with breathtaking orchestral arrangements before introducing slamming drums and an overdriven yet contained filter bass. Devils Kiss is simply lethal, switching between luscious choral pads and writhing subs over stutterstep drums, before dropping into a huge maelstrom of devilish yet melodic mayhem. The vocals here aim to please as well.  An imaginative yet powerful initial release from this duo.

3024001

Martyn : Velvet / Twenty Four : 3024 : 12"
Finished copy promo. We welcome you to 3024 - a fresh new imprint combining the musical talents of Martyn and the graphic artistry of Erosie. After strong releases on labels such as Revolve:r,Soul:r Tempa and remix work for Hessle Audio and Offshore, Martyn has created his own musical playground where dubbed out sounds, Chicago & Detroit influenced nmelodies and lots of bass dwell freely. This first release brings you the sounds of "Velvet" a rugged beat, heavy subbassline with a playful melancholic melody progressing to an almost euphoric level. This track will stand out in any dj set, it is the musical side of dubstep, or the dubby side of techno. The flip side "Twenty Four" is a dark almost 2-step type roller, using looped chords and vocal snippets that are progressive in a creeping kind of way, and bringing back the funk of dubstep pioneers such as El-B and Horsepower in a 3024 fashion. As one of Europe's most rated and influential street artists Erosie brings his unique graphic styles to the world of 3024, making this first release a delight for the ear as well as the eye. Enjoy. "Martyn is dealing with dubstep's groove deficiency with some of the slinkiest, lushest productions around. its clear that dubstep's epicenter is no longer just in South London." (Kode9 - Hyperdub) "Following on from the infectious 'everything about you' on Tempa, Martyn once again comes correct with this next level of deep and dubbed out visions. Good for the head and the dance floor. 5/5" (Rob Smith aka RSD) "This release on Martyn's debut label is a proud way to introduce to the world the unique sound Martyn is bringing to the dubstep scene" (Headhunter - Tempa) "A huge talent.. The Dennis Bergkamp of dance" (Marcus Intalex - Soul:R)

V/A : License To Thrill Part 1 : Dub Police : 12"
Finished copy promos. A side. Caspa - Ooh R Ya: Kicking off the ‘License To Thrill’ series is the long awaited banger; Ooh R Ya? This one has been battered by the likes of N-Type, Rusko, The Others and of course Caspa. It’s is an ‘in your face stomper‘, with an absolutely outrageous bass line with bundles of energy and signature sample, Caspa sets the pace for the ’License To Thrill’ series. Side B1:Orien - Equinox: The debut track from the latest edition to the Dub Police camp; West London’s Orien. This one is a spaced out roller with warping, squelching bass lines and eerie growling synths that keep you moving; expect to hear more forthcoming Dub Police material from the man like Orien. Side B2:L-Wiz - Mary Jane: Dub Police veterans, L-Wiz come with another melodic dubwize track that has been in public demand for a while now. This is standard L-Wiz business, with dubbed out horns, plucked spacey guitars and a deep weighty sub. This one’s a right Bobby Dazler from Stockholm‘s finest and adds a nice diversity to the EP.

DP014

V/A : License To Thrill Part 2 : Dub Police : 12"
Finished copy promos. A. Rusko - Original Cut: The man like Rusko strikes again, with another devastating anthem that has gained support from Skream, Hatcha, Tubby and N-Type to name a few. With its cheeky melodies, rasta man samples and a seriously heavy bass line, this won't fail to disappoint. Fans of tracks like 'Jahova', will be digging this one for sure; dub-driven madness from the man of the moment. B1. Matty G - Street Knowledge: Matty G comes with another earth shattering monster of a tune here; and fans of his '50,000 Watts' style tracks will not be disappointed. If sub-low bass that rattles your chest plate and old skool beats laced with hip-hop samples is your cup of tea, this is the one for you. B2. Dubwoofa - Devoliz: Dub Police newbie’s Dubwoofa make their debut in fine style here. The track has a dark, epic and mystical feel to it, with big reverbed beats, a low rumbling sub bass and brilliant atmospheric pads and instrumentation this is just a taste of things to come from these guys.

DP015

V/A : License To Thrill Part 3 : Dub Police : 12"
Finished copy promos. A. Conquest - Forever: West London's Conquest kicks off Part 2 of the 'License To Thrill' series with this deep and soulful track that has gained from support from the likes of Chef, D1 and Caspa amongst others. With its clever and well chosen sampling, sweet melodies, tribal driven beats and thumping bass its a sure winner. B1. The Others - Light Up Your Spliff: Following on from their recent Dub Police single; The Others long awaited 'Light Up Your Spliff' finally sees plastic. With sharp amen breaks under a stomping beat, a vicious bass line and the catchy vocal courtesy of The Bush Chemists, this is bound to get any dance floor moving; more dark, moody bass action from D-Code and Dexterous. B2. Kromestar - Focuz: Rounding off the EP is the Dub Police debut for South London’s Kromestar. This techno driven stomper has been battered by all the big guns and is sure to get you skanking. With a big dark 4x4 beat, a weighty bass and dirty techno stabs, this one is a serious neck breaker. Another massive release for the ever growing Dub Police.

BBV029

Def Inc. : Filthy Dirty / Freak 'n' Fry : Botchit Breaks : 12"
4/5 In DJ "Great late-night groover". Following up the massive club shaker "Loaded With Dynamite" the bass meddling duo Def Inc. go in for a third pass on Botchit Breaks. Having recently laid down their distinctively infectious sound on Soul of Man's classic "Killa Bre" tuning in a monstrous reworking, Def Inc. are on the tip of many a musical tongue. Once again they pull out all the stops with a double a-side that will set dance floors a light from London to Leipzig! First up, firm favourite from their genre spanning dj sets "Filthy Dirty" busts out of the speakers at break neck speed! Snappy snares do battle from electro soaked stabs, while a funky ass bass line rolls as crafty vocals jump in and out of the mix. On the flip the vibes are taken down a deeper route with the quacking bassbin rocker that is "Freak and Fry" as pounding kicks command the feet while warming bass soothes the ears making for a late night roller coaster trip.

BOS2059

DJ Quest : Break Me : Botchit & Scarper : 12"
9/10 In DJ "Another Botchit essential". Making a long overdue return to Botchit & Scarper, having graced wax way back when with Haunted Gospel the head honcho of Cyberfunk Records and genre hopping producer DJ Quest returns with the glitched up club shaker that is "Break Me." Alongside long time production collaborator and leading vocalist Odissi, making for a track that refuses to be put into any genre box! With warped up acid stabs, commanding electro drenched tones and a growling bassline "Break Me" is set to rise more than a few eyebrows. If the original mix wasnít enough to shake up your boots, we've got two show stopping remixes to set your teeth into! First up a break beat reworking from the unstoppable Inch of Control Z fame, knuckling down in the studio alongside DJ Quest and microphone regulator Ken Mac. This trio turn in a booming remix that's guaranteed to dent the mucky dance floors throughout the land! Making for his debut musical outing on Botchit & Scarper, the electro rave beast that is Lillica Libertine pulls up the breaks for a remix that takes us down the four four road. Pounding drums do battle with rowdy snares and one monstrous bassline, as Odissi's vocals are twisted and cut within in an itch of their life!
