time trying out what is best for you. I have some questions, and I would
appreciate your answers :)

Do you like the summary view (spreadsheet format) or do you like to look at the
part with the samples?

listen to the samples?
3. Is it more important to see new titles first -- or to keep
tabs on what is arriving & when it will be here?
This week we have a different format again - everything is lumped
together and the sections are NEXT WEEK, 1-2 WEEKS, and
DUBSTEP.

A classic by Mootz given the overhaul by SPL, taking the
elements of the original and adding the weight for 2007. SPL has done the
original justice with his trademark use of effects and a big bassline churning
through sound systems with a marching break giving head spinning momentum,. The
track has shaken dance floors to rubble and now its your turn to do the same! on
the flip ‘Fade’ by SPL. The young Jedi comes correct with this piece of funk,
wicked bass stabs instantly conjure up images of what can only be described as
robot mechanical funk. Totally mixable for the DJ’s out there and interesting
enough to keep the casual listener interested until the end. Clarity is the
keyword here, as SPL’s production quality rises above so many others! A stellar

Whether is uplifting and rolling drum & bass you’re after or dark and
menacing, ASC can bring it! This is his third outing on Warm Communications and
probably our favorite 12 he’s done for us! SIDE A: -ENERGY CORE Easily one of
the labels favorite tunes ASC has released with us. Dark sound effects &
glitches open the tune up leaving you wondering when it’s gonna drop. A stomping
2 step beat charges through making it’s way up to the bass. Steady and rolling
is the theme for this auditory sci fi adventure! Quirkly effects, solid beats,

pressure, face grinding beats and twisted ideas, rock the speaker box til only
splinters and cones are left. As the grime chugs along, knock off warped notes
concuss reality and remind you of your twisted journey (just in case you might
have forgotten) Take it down to the break, the pause, the melt. The brain is on
overload and the sludge begins to drain. But not for long, as you're forcefully
thrust head first into the descent again. Like a scum tunnel that gets deeper
and darker, straight to the core of the gutter, this is one punishing filth
cleansing you'll wish to take again! State Of Mind - Quantum Leap Twisted horns
lay the foundation with a dream to enter into madness. Over time and creation, a
steady influx in basslines, punchy stabs and funky midlines band together as the
mighty machine assembles. The drop is almost concealed within the build, a
careful constructive design, making the mix ride smooth and effortlessly into
the break, which is a "break down" in itself. Seems the machine malfunctioned
and deconstructed it's own circuitry. With time ticking and the unknown lurking,
your attention is then surprisingly commanded. The horns revive, summoning life
to the beast as the Resurrection initiates. Ultimately setting the stage for
jump to begin again, as the drums key the lift, the the funk snaps back and
rolls on. Forward, into the future.

Kromestar and F1 here deliver their debut material under
the combined Bad Influence moniker, and it's a bashment killer firmly rooted in
the digital dub of mid-80's New York and Jamaica given the dubstep treatment.
It's all in the sound-palette, with "Chat Bout" opening the twelve with a
brilliantly plastic feel that perfectly recreates the spirit of 1986. "Nuttin
Much", meanwhile, employs some detuned synths for a similarly acrylic delivery,
while EP closer "Spaced Out" is just totally ace - wonky synths and a sub-asian
flavour making for quite possibly the first (and only) dubstep track you'll ever
hear with New Romantic production values attached. Ace.
