It is official, the UK had ended their summer holiday.  The comming weeks are going to be filled with more releases than you are going to be able to afford - so PLEASE make sure you stay up on the lists as we send them out.  There were a lot of albums out this month and if you want them you have to let us know!  There is a LOT of good stuff in stock right now, too.

I know it has been difficult to keep up with when records will arrive lately, since they haven't been shipping twice a week.  The reason for this is to save us ALL some money... CONSOLIDATING freight from uk to the US once a week saves a lot (rather than shipping boxes from different suppliers, the can ship pallettes).  This savings is important because of fuel surcharges and steadily increasing USD to GBP ratio.  If it becomes an issue, they promise they will switch back, but for now it is keeping records from increasing in price.

To make this list easier:

NU-URBAN titles will arrive within a week. [On this list that means Friday September 14th] - ALWAYS use these emails for Nu-Urban.

ST HOLDINGS or SRD titles take two weeks [On this list that means Thursday, September 20th]

Need it precise?
http://www.poo-bas.com/pre-order/09-13-07.htm

The drum & bass section of this list has the tiles available for the comming week [September 13]

We don't put dnb records out for sale until Saturday, unless you order in advance, just to keep it fair and easy.

I was thinking about just emailing the most current order list to make it even easier - while we are still on weekly shipments.  The upside, is you would know what you are getting when - the downside is that titles would pop up on websites before you see them on ours.  Let me know what you prefer!

The current list of records new in stock is at the bottom.  Feel free to send over any special requests, the special order process has been improved.

Requests from this list are due back SUNDAY September 9.  Email your requests to doug (at) poo-bas.com and it is always good to email, even if you already discussed it with Brent or Rob.

ST Holdings & Nu-Urban sound samples are at the bottom.  Promos are highlighted in yellow.  Watch Nu-Urban for many of your Load Media (harder) favorites!

As a reminder, this order list is posted weekly at http://www.poo-bas.com/pre-order if you didn't get an email.

See you Saturday!

Thanks,

Doug

ST HOLDINGS NEW DNB RELEASES

31R033 End Of The Beginning EP - Doc Scott 31 Records 12" x 2

The original “King of the Rollers,” Doc Scott is arguably one of the legends of the the drum and bass scene. From Reinforced to Metalheadz to his own label, 31 Records, he has pioneered the sounds we know as drum and bass today and continues to lead the way forward. As an artist, he has been responsible for some of the scene’s defining moments including hardcore classics ‘NHS’ and ‘Here Come the Drumz’, ‘Shadowboxing’ and, in his Nasty Habits guise, ‘Liquid Fingers’. As a label owner, he has strived to release music that pushes boundaries with releases such as Marcus Intalex’s ‘ How You Make Me Feel’ and the smasher ‘Vault’ by Pendulum. First and foremost, however, Doc Scott remains dj who sets are second-to-none, effortlessly crossing the full spectrum of drum and bass and igniting dancefloors with fresh and inspirational sounds. For 2007, Doc Scott looks forward once more like no other. Reinterpreting the past and bringing two stone-cold classics bang up to date, he has a new version of ‘Drumz, entitled ‘9507’, and ‘Tokyo Dusk’ (a reworking of ‘Tokyo Dawn’) paired with future classics ‘Jungle Jungle’ and ‘Zulu Dawn’.

LEET009 Available Technology - Pyro & Phono Leet Records 12" Vinyl

For the lead track, Pyro and Phono step up with the highly anticipated "Available Technology". A forward thinking tune with a futuristic urban-eqsue intro. It proceeds into rolling basslines & midranges, uplifting stabs and an inevitable acid build. Support and acclaim for the track has come from people such as: Corrupt Souls, Raiden, Noisia, Masheen, Lethal & Karnage, Dementia, Robot Death Squad, Kano and more. On the flipside newcomers Atom, Tenebra and Zirash collaborated to produce the track "Satura". This is a heavy slice of neurofunk that's been absolutely smashing it up everywhere its played. We anticipate big things for these guys, the future starts here.

RL013 Derailed - Dose Red Light Recordings 12" Vinyl

‘Derailed’ This debut release on Redlight from New Zealand Producer “Dose” certainly hits the spot. “Derailed” delivers a bassline both gritty and raw, while the rest of the track is slick, twisted and tripped out. Many samples come and go, and their shapes shift throughout to ensure freshness. ‘Stone Cold’ On the flipside, “Stone Cold” ain’t as frigid as you might think, but is instead effervescent and persuasively percussive with a gnarly synthetic bassline that locks the groove and helps it roll right to the end.  Forceful yet still friendly.

HZN022 Time Starts Now - Seba & Paradox Horizons Music 12" Vinyl

Seba and Paradox have championed the Breakbeat side of Drum and Bass for some time now on their own Secret Operations and Paradox Music imprints whilst gracing other stables such as Hospital and Metalheadz with their knowledge, and now the time has come to drop their long-awaited 12” on Horizons Music. The beautiful art sleeve reflects their timeless music and ‘Time Starts Now’ REALLY stands to attention, firing a bold statement that only Seba and Paradox can conjure up in the recording studio for the people to play for years to come. From the very first few seconds of ‘Time Starts Now’ you hear the eeiry vibe of this mystical number. Vocallike drones over funk breaks puzzle people to the point you can see them frowning wondering if the earth is coming to an end.  Carefully chosen atmospherics and samples fly in pure esoteric style in the intro, and the low bass kicks in like storm flashes whilst your awaiting the thunder to appear. Vocal film, sax samples and breaks switch the atmosphere like Source Direct never died. Indeed people. Time Starts Now! On the flip Seba and Paradox flex their musical abilities in the remix of Duo Infernal’s ‘Playing Games’.  Seba and Paradox take the core elements of the original mix and really transform the track utilizing harp and piano parts into a breathtaking score. The breaks ‘swing’ to give it that ultra-important funk element in Drum and Bass, and the deep bass tones alongside keys and pads accompany the musical melody to perfection. Both tracks are already scheduled for licensing work before the 12” is officially released due to its popularity. DJ support is coming from the turntables of Randall, Marcus Intalex, John B, LTJ Bukem, Alley Cat, Fabio, L Double, Goldie, Flight, Bailey and many, many others.

31R034 Brain & Body - DJ Vapour 31 Records 12" x 2

White label Promo. Plays by Goldie / Hype / Bailey / Randall / Friction / Ray Keith / Q Project / Marcus Intalex...DJ Vapour is certainly making huge waves in the Drum & Bass scene. Having found his own unique style, his tough beats and sub-basslines are unmistakable and perfect for 31 Records. As DJ Vapour explains Razor Bladez is something made on a more experimental vibe I wanted to make something with the heaviest bass line i could make, so I fired up the distortion plug ins and rolled this one out. I don't play this out much as i've yet to find a sound system that can hit the low frequencies properly on it.

CYAN022 Armour EP PT3 - Various Cyanide Recordings 12" x 2

White label promo. Cyanide Recordings is once again, back with a vengeance. The 12” armour series was a hit with the massive back in 2003, so we decided to roll out the heavy artillery and unleash the dogs upon all you unsuspecting soldiers. First up, Hypersleep.  Well what can we say? This tune has been devastating dance floors since the moment of completion. Reeking of funk, this track has  seen major support from ranging from noisia to DjHype to chase&status proving this is definitely one for the masses. Seconds out, round twoDatura anyone? Concord Dawns Evan killjoy and Bulletproof team up to create one hell of a roller. We had to beat labels  away with broomsticks, all trying to get their hands pon’ this lick. 3 days of intense sound forging and this grunged out funkster was
