DRKSTRL-I 001 NINJA CHICKS / TOSHIRO FANU DARKESTRAL ICE
12”
500
Copies Limited Edition clear 12" vinyl pressing in textured sleeve with
additional polythene inner sleeve ! Darkestral Recordings has been set up to
release music from artists who are prepared to explore their own singular
vision. Each piece has been carefully selected to retain the highest quality of
output, as well as for their longevity. Running under the umbrella of Darkestral
Media Initiatives Limited, the label aims to showcase a classic drum & bass
sound, the past filtered through the present to shape the future. The first
release chosen to represent this attitude comes from the samurai skilled Fanu,
precisely because of his shared outlook and attentive precision toward his
craft, and for his braketing within the widescreen, cinematic vision of what we
want to achieve. The labels first release at the same time sets in motion what
will be an ongoing set of themed projects, this being `Ice' to reinforce the
sub-zero nature of the two pieces. - `Ninja Chicks' is drenched in the sounds of
the Orient, sharp metallic percussion collides with ancient timbred drums, and
filmic samples to create a reverb-centric epicness and visually enticing space
to imagine. -`Toshiro' continues the theme, but in a more relentless fashion as
layers of drums describe the terrain, both dynamic and breathtaking this piece
is a film score waiting to find a home. Finally released don't sleep on this
collectors gem!

Offkey's
London connection bring forth their interpretation of the sound.A
side:'Jawbreaker'the first signing for Offkey from the London Duo tore up the
clubs on it's arrival, it was instantly picked up by Raiden for his Techno/Drum
and Bass imprint aimed at merging the two genres and pushing that sound forward.
Jawbreaker is just that, an assualt on the senses, the drums bridge the gap
between tribal and mechanicalmoving your body whilst the bleeps carve into your
brain, Imagine Jeff Mills playing Drum and Bass in the Amazon and your nearly
there. Aa side: 'Murkage' Specifically built dancefloor arsenal, Doing exactly
what it says on the tin 'Murkage' is a bomb, bne careful how you handle it!
Raiden asked the pair for a tune that would be released alongside Jawbreaker,
and Murkage was the result! Pure adrenaline packed into 6 minutes! Proven across
the world the breakdown has to heard to be believed, taking the audience higher
and higher before its head down screw face time.

TACTV001 TECHION TACTILE TACTILE VINYL
12”
Techion
is, as likely as not, a vivid audio-documentation of a galactic journey, in
which the sky is not the limit. Having left the atmosphere far behind, the
tranquilizing textures that are disturbed by gently effected swirls and
inter-planetary chirps would sweeten the state of zerogravity even more, when
almost instantly a mid-sound and a citing humanoid voice unleashes the
astrophysical funk: the combination of moderately bouncing beats and pounding
lows. The puzzling trickster, known as The Riddler frames a subtle audio-enigma:
the dreamy, yet tense ambience prepares the arrival of the desperately echoing
bleeps, which are carried by the whirl of an untameable drum groove and a robust
bassline. With their high-standard approach, team Tactile unlocks the secret
quite elegantly, giving a scientific edge to this suspenseful bit of music. Both
tracks have been recieving support from the scene’s main players including the
following names : Marky, Flight, Friction, Klute, Loxy, Spirit, Icicle,
Mathematics, Nymfo, Martyn, Tc1, Sabre, Squire. Watch out for exclusive Tactile
12” releases in the next few months alongside a bunch of collabs with good
friends Spinline, Hydro, Munk, Naibu and Mathematics!

12”
Engine
Music finally step up with their third release with nothing less than a solid
12”by, the man himself, Break. On the A side you have “Follow the heat”, a track
reminiscent of the sunday sessions (in our humble opinion) yet rejuvenated for
2007. Tight, crisp beats, lushious strings lead up to sinister bass stabs then
drops into what we describe as a ‘gritty’ piece of funk. On the flip we have
“External” which shows exactly what this man is known for, minimal techno
rollers. Need we realy say much more other than: It’s Break!

UNFORSEEN AXIOM & OPTIV SHADY BRAIN
Cause
4 Concern mastermind Optiv needs no introduction, as he's got enough floor
shaking releases under his belt to build up a Drum and Bass skyscraper. Also
Axiom shouldn't be a new name to most of you as he made quite some impact by
releasing tunes like 'Soulcube'(with Chris SU and Optiv) Vendetta and Night
Falls in 2006. Together they bring pure mayhem as once more proved on this 12"
Unforeseen starts of very dark and deep before it drop into a heavy bassline
monster with rave style bleep action on top. Be sure that no feet will stand
still as this tune rolls its way through. 'Alter Ego' a solo tune by Axiom, is a
true tech stepper with kicks and snares which lead make your head nod to the max
standing as further proof of Axiom's huge talent. This tune runs straight as a
fast train without loosing a bit of the funkyness which our music is all about.
A bassline as thick as chewing gum and some heavy cymbol action succeed in
making 'Alter Ego' a deadly weapon for any DJ. DJ support from Phace,
Misanthrop, C4C, Chris SU, The Upbeats,

CUM DANCING - DUB CHILD REMIX DUBCHILD STORMING PRODUCTIONS
12”
The
inimitable Dub Child’s treatment of London Electricity’s 2002 dnb classic Cum
Dancing has had DJs and fans craving the track on vinyl for years. Some had lost
hope of the track ever blessing plastic at all. But Hospital Records have
allowed the remix to hit the shelves for release exclusively through Storming.
It was a track which quite simply had to see the light of day. An anthem from
the early days of the scene’s legendary club night, FWD, Dub Child’s Cum Dancing
remix was rinsed by the biggest names at the time. The track featured regularly
on Jay Da Flex’s seminal BBC 1Xtra radio show and was constantly in the box of
many. Listening to the track it’s easy to hear why it would be a travesty if it
was to become just another lost dub. The infectious melody of the original is
built upon with devastating Dub Child breaks and bass. The irrefutably dazzling
strings provide the backbone of the track whilst the infectious melody works
itself into you head. The beat skips and skitters along, making it impossible
for crowds not to move on the floor. Cum Dancing is an anthem and a classic tune
like very few really are. On the flip, Wanna Die is a prime slice of Dub Ch
