DAVID GUETTA
BABY WHEN THE LIGHTS *GARRAUD* (VIRGIN) 12  - 107016
HUGE TUNE! Holy shit the original mix of David Guetta's "Baby When The Lights Go Out" is massive. It begins with a sultry whispery vocal, ripping guitar riffs and epic French flair. When the track drops and builds back all funking hell breaks loose getting very much in the Switch / Herve style of dirty jacking editing and hard hitting noise / sound interludes. A few more fabulous mixes grace this platter from Laidback Luke, Joachim Garraud and Fred Rister.                    DELAYED DUE TO CUSTOMS, NOW IN STOCK!(BABYWHEN)HOUSE-11/26/07-FR

The original mix of 'Crystal Castle' is still getting many spins from the likes of Sven Vath, John Digweed and Konrad Black, and these new mixes are already garnering attention from Laurent Garnier, Carl Craig and Kiki. Ripperton, aka Lazy Fat People turns in a doozy remix of 'Sin' which as could be expected is a favorite of Carl Craig, Mathew Jonson and Minilogue, deep ass killer techno that works equally perfectly on deep house floors. ARTIST UNKNOWN
I WANT YOU (KONTOR) 12  - 108081
Mysterious offering on the German mini major Kontor imprint, this tune has all the makings of a HUGE tune and we're thinking it might by either Axwell or possibly Eric Prydz based upon the production. We'll know more about this one soon as it's sure to get a slew of new mixes and around 100 licenses which will pry the name of the artist out of the label. JENN *SIMON BAKER*
PLEASURE FOR THE GIRLS (KARATEKLUB) 12  - 108093
Another sick one for the Karate Klub label. First off, lets talk about the Simon Baker remix, which is a deep groover with warm pads and vocal stabs from the original, but adding a sort of nervousness that Simon Baker has been known for. On the flip, 2 originals from Jenn. "For The Girls" is a deep bass builder designed for scaring you into dancing, while "pleasure" is quite stripped down and feels almost like some of the Minus releases.(KK022)TECH HOUSE-11/26/07-GE

Red Robin & Jacob Hilden deliever another SMOKER for Trapez LTD. Meaty basslines with extra cool catchy elements to burn the floor right up! BROKE
WE AINT GOT IT (KOMPAKT POP) 12  - 108117
Broke come up with a very catchy A-side with vocals primed for a party! Re-sung lines from Kanye West's "Broke, Broke, We Broke.. We Aint Got It" to make it a bit playful. The beats are slightly broken but the drums are loud and the extra bits are bleepy and almost Pac Man like. The flipside is an acidic nightmare though! DER SCHMEISSER
FRANCIS EP *DOP* (EINMALEINS) 12  - 108086
Absolutely KILLER release for Der Schmeisser on Einmaleins. The original is a stripped down quarky minimal house number with a deep shifty bassline and lots of nice percussion tweaks. Following that, is a live version that is DARK as hell! Mean rumble bass with lots of cool little edits thrown in the throw you off your game. On the flip, DOP get completely fucking ILL and tweak the whole thing out on a stripped down tip as well, adding a quick vocal stab of a guy saying "Girl, get up". Here for Troydon's own Phonoshuffle label the duo re-unite for more funky house action. 'Slippin' borrows a bit from a certain War track and jazzes it up nicely in a bumping Inland Knights stylee with jazzy licks, deep beats and barely recognizable vocal snippets from the original. Troydon goes solo on a mix of this and is on point as always. On the flip you'll find 'With Dirt' a more energetic romp with deep elements, elements of funk and elements of elements. UNDERWORLD
OBLIVION WITH BELLS *DLP* (DIFFERENT) DP  - 107335
GATEFOLD DOUBLE ALBUM. Underworld are back with a soulful, contemplative, yet typically uplifting album. The single and album opener 'Crocodile' is simply as good as they get. 'Ring Road' sees Hyde off on one of his famous psycho-geographic jaunts (this one around Romford, on St George’s Day), marking time with his compelling word rhythms, while the treated found sounds in 'Cuddle Bunny Vs Celtic Villages' conjures a decidedly non-cuddly, almost menacing atmosphere. The lusciusly lowering 'Beautiful Burnout' features Underworld's trademark synth swathes and swells with a somehow doomed beauty, but the minimal 'Holding The Moth' boasts such a bass-y spring it practically bounces clean off the vinyl. 'Glam Bucket' meanwhile, shimmers like a sheet of liquid crystal and 'Best Mamgu Ever' offers a sliver of downbeat, Balearic bliss at the album’s close.(4511081012)HOUSE-10/29/07-BE

Here he unleashes a weapon that has been in his arsenal for some time, devistating dancefloors since early spring with 'Bell Clap Dance'. TUGG / FELIX DICKINSON
GETTING HIGH/SMOKELESS MACHINE (CYNIC) 12  - 107291
Cynic is one of those little labels that many people overlook but have consistently been putting out killer tunes. Doc Martin is a big fan of the imprint and still plays many of their releases (especially the first release from Foolish & Sly). Here we are treated to two deep dark underground killers, the first from Tugg whose productions have been getting some major attention and whose previous efforts include drummiing for Faze Action, Basement Jaxx, Lady Soverign and Kano. Here Tugg unleashes the dirty acid funk reminiscent of RZ material with a definite nod to Trax with a more modern vibe. ALL GOOD / SICK AT HOME (BATTLE) 12  - 106857
Sasse & Naughty recently collaborated on Crack & Speed and completely blew us (and many underground dj's) away. Here the two battle it out for supremacy on the Battle imprint with each pitching in a track and a remix of eachother's track. The result, serious dancefloor damage whichever cut you choose to play. Definitely one for those who like their tunes dirtier.(BAT012)HOUSE-10/01/07-FR

REMANIAX
WRECK THE DJ (BIG BOSS) 12  - 107463
'Wreck The Dj' is a hot tune that sounds a lot like Fatboy Slim material. It borrows the break from 'Apache' and quite a few more prominent breaks and laces them into an aggressive funky house number with powerful synths, a hip hop vocal hook and some old blues vocal samples. The cut and paste house/break hybrid sound will definitely go over with fans of Hyper, Meat Katie etc.(BBR012)BREAKBEAT-11/12/07-NL

SIMONE FEDI
BELZEBU TALES (ESKIMO) 12  - 107863
Eskimo have possibly found their next Lindstrom here with Simone Fedi. With a healthy dose if live instruments alongside vintage analog synthesizers, Simone has managed to create some epic bearded disco with a heavy guitar edge on 'Belzebu Tales'. A must for any fan of Brennan Green. 'Judas' delves further into the Italo side of the spectrum and also features some heavy duty guitar work that both Tiga and Lindstrom have gone gaga for. Rounding off this amazing debut is '2M 6Ft' another superb future disco gem that relies heavily on live and vintage gear for production and also features some great disco percussion.(501974)BEARDED DISCO-11/19/07-NL

MARCO RESMANN
TRAFFIC CIRCLE (UPON YOU) 12  - 107981
Heres a deep on for the Upon You label that is a drect throwback to the old days of deep Detroit techno. Beep Carl Craig influenced chord stabs and direct percussion to get the floor moving. On the B-side, things get more jackin and trippy and very DAN BELL or TODD SINES influenced.(UY007)TECH HOUSE-11/19/07-GE

AUDIO SOUL PROJECT *MAZI*
SHE TURNS RED *DURIEZ* (FRESH MEAT) 12  - 107971
Heres a couple remixes of Mazi's Audio Soul Project from House of Black Dress and David Duriez. First up, House of Black Dress bring us a metallic house romp with lots of tweaks to the synth, as well as the bass. Complete with female moans and sick percussion work. On the flip, David Duriez gets a bit darker than usual with a deep hypno bassline and a positively mesmerizing breakdown.(FMEAT08)HOUSE-11/19/07-GE

DUSTY KID
LUNA (BPITCH CTRL) 12  - 107986
Heres a sick on from Dusty Kid on Bpitch CTRL by the name of Luna. A twilight tech house cut, to say the least. Kinda reminiscent of the older, housier side of Kanzleramt releases. On the flip is a couple of remixes. 1st off, we have Tadeo with a stripped down and semi acidic deep cut, while Lee Van Dowski gets busy with a more staggard approach.(BPITCH)TECH HOUSE-11/19/07-GE

'Scream' is pure Fresh; chillingly dramatic intro, deliberate contrast between quirky stabs against heinous breaks and nasty sub bass over a backdrop seemingly borrowed from 60's horror movies and interesting subliminal whispers. A big dancefloor track for sure. On the flip Fresh teams up with breakbeat dons Deekline & Wizard for 'Stream' a nasty breakbeat bomb full of stomping breaks with the insanely catchy vocals of Ivory & Spyda. LISTED IN BOTH THE D&B & BREAKS SECTION!(BBK022)BREAKBEAT-10/22/07-UK
