DAVID GUETTA
BABY WHEN THE LIGHTS *GARRAUD* (VIRGIN)
12 - 107016
HUGE TUNE! Holy shit the original mix
of David Guetta's "Baby When The Lights Go Out" is massive. It begins
with a sultry whispery vocal, ripping guitar riffs and epic French flair. When
the track drops and builds back all funking hell breaks loose getting very much
in the Switch / Herve style of dirty jacking editing and hard hitting noise /
sound interludes. A few more fabulous mixes grace this platter from Laidback
Luke, Joachim Garraud and Fred Rister. DELAYED DUE TO
CUSTOMS, NOW IN STOCK!(BABYWHEN)HOUSE-11/26/07-FR

TEN THOUSAND WOMEN *DLUGOSH* (ART OF
DISCO/YELLOW PRODUCTION) 12 - 107898
Yellow Productions cooler more
underground sister label, Art Of Disco finally returns with an uber hip cut
from Farrell Lennon. 'Ten Thousand Women' features a quite catchy vocal part
that sounds like a mixture of Falco, Paul Hardcastle and more modern Kitsune flavored
gear. The bassline on this cut is insanely funky, catchy and rugged. The kind
of lick that stays with you for days on end. This mix has been gettin much love
from Sebastian, Simian Mobile Disco and Dimitri From Paris. Boris Dlugosh
provides the remix on the flip, a tougher mix very much on the Mousse T
tip.(YP242)HOUSE-11/26/07-UK

DJ D FT HEIDI VOGEL
BALL & CHAIN *FIASCO/1200 WARR
(DEFECTED) 12 - 108021
Dj D teams up with vocalist Heidi Vogel
on this deep percussive spoken word vocal killer. D's beats are percussive and
have a great tribal edge and the track has a brilliant retro NYC underground
house vibe. On the remix front Johnny Fiasco provides an energetic, more
pumping deep dancefloor mix that adds beefier beats and dope hypnotic synth
hits. 4Kenzo / Robsoul artists 1200 Warriors provide the funkiest of the mixes
with breaky house beats, nasty funked up bass and a Da Sunlounge kind of
vibe.(DFTD166)HOUSE-11/26/07-UK

TRAMPOLIN (BAR 25) 12 - 108084

CRYSTAL CASTLE *RIPPERTON (SYSTEMATIC)

The original mix of 'Crystal Castle'
is still getting many spins from the likes of Sven Vath, John Digweed and
Konrad Black, and these new mixes are already garnering attention from Laurent
Garnier, Carl Craig and Kiki. Ripperton, aka Lazy Fat People turns in a doozy
remix of 'Sin' which as could be expected is a favorite of Carl Craig, Mathew
Jonson and Minilogue, deep ass killer techno that works equally perfectly on
deep house floors. Robert Babicz and Marco Ressman both turn in pretty dope
mixes of 'Crystal Castle' on this 12" but for us it's all about LAZY FAT

JENN *SIMON BAKER*
PLEASURE FOR THE GIRLS (KARATEKLUB) 12
- 108093
Another sick one for the Karate Klub

groover with warm pads and vocal stabs from the original, but adding a sort of
nervousness that Simon Baker has been known for. On the flip, 2 originals from
Jenn. "For The Girls" is a deep bass builder designed for scaring you

almost like some of the Minus releases.(KK022)TECH HOUSE-11/26/07-GE

UNDERWORLD
OBLIVION WITH BELLS *DLP* (DIFFERENT)
DP - 107335
GATEFOLD DOUBLE ALBUM. Underworld are
back with a soulful, contemplative, yet typically uplifting album. The single
and album opener 'Crocodile' is simply as good as they get. 'Ring Road' sees
Hyde off on one of his famous psycho-geographic jaunts (this one around
Romford, on St George’s Day), marking time with his compelling word rhythms,
while the treated found sounds in 'Cuddle Bunny Vs Celtic Villages' conjures a
decidedly non-cuddly, almost menacing atmosphere. The lusciusly lowering
'Beautiful Burnout' features Underworld's trademark synth swathes and swells
with a somehow doomed beauty, but the minimal 'Holding The Moth' boasts such a
bass-y spring it practically bounces clean off the vinyl. 'Glam Bucket'
meanwhile, shimmers like a sheet of liquid crystal and 'Best Mamgu Ever' offers
a sliver of downbeat, Balearic bliss at the album’s
close.(4511081012)HOUSE-10/29/07-BE

We've all had them, Fuck Friends that

like Uffie styled material with a more indie rocking dance edge. This ep comes
with some great remixes coming from Yuksek & Brodinski who give the track a
rougher dancefloor electro edge, CSS who give it a funky 80's vibe and Mixhell.

'Wreck The Dj' is a hot tune that
sounds a lot like Fatboy Slim material. It borrows the break from 'Apache' and
quite a few more prominent breaks and laces them into an aggressive funky house

samples. The cut and paste house/break hybrid sound will definitely go over

DJ SS
THE LIGHTER 2007 (FORMATION) 12 -
106923
DJ SS has succumbed to pressure by
remaking the iconic anthem of the 90’s and giving it a millennium flavour.
Although many remixes have been done, they have only served as an evolutionary
process to created this final burial mix. DJ SS is giving his baby a final and
glorious farewell. Burning turntables everywhere 'The Lighter 2007' provides
the same amount of staying power as its predecessors, sending the dancefloor
into a frenzy and the atmosphere into a golden glow as all the lighters make
their way into the air. 'Dual Voltage 2007' adds the double impact as a hard
and thumping bassline gets the pulse moving(FORM12122)DRUM &

FRESH BC
SCREAM / STREAM *DEEKLINE* (BREAKBEAT
KAOS) 12 - 106216

drum & bass. First is his consumate mastering of creating unique and funky
dancefloor D&B and second his ability to switch to breaks with ease, which
has led to his teaming up with the biggest names in that scene to devistating
results. 'Scream' is pure Fresh; chillingly dramatic intro, deliberate contrast
between quirky stabs against heinous breaks and nasty sub bass over a backdrop
seemingly borrowed from 60's horror movies and interesting subliminal whispers.
A big dancefloor track for sure. On the flip Fresh teams up with breakbeat dons
Deekline & Wizard for 'Stream' a nasty breakbeat bomb full of stomping
breaks with the insanely catchy vocals of Ivory & Spyda. LISTED IN BOTH THE
