QUALITY CONTROL
AUDIO HACKERS *TROYDON* (PHONOSHUFFLE) 12  - 107869
We were first introduced to the Quality Control monniker of Joshua Heath and Troydon on Drop Music with their 'Southern Comfort Ep'. Here for Troydon's own Phonoshuffle label the duo re-unite for more funky house action. 'Slippin' borrows a bit from a certain War track and jazzes it up nicely in a bumping Inland Knights stylee with jazzy licks, deep beats and barely recognizable vocal snippets from the original. Troydon goes solo on a mix of this and is on point as always. On the flip you'll find 'With Dirt' a more energetic romp with deep elements, elements of funk and elements of elements. Seriously though this shit is funky for real and is getting much love from Dj Heather, Lawnchair Generals and Joey Youngman to name a few.(PSHUF103)HOUSE-11/19/07-BE

NOW THATS WHAT I CALL MYNA
VOL 1 *SHREWD/DA SUNLOUNGE* (MYNA) 12  - 107351
LIMITED PRESSING OF 500! Myna ressurect four of its most popular (and long since deleted) tracks on this limited sampler. But wait there's more, Da Sunlounge provide a spanking new mix for one of those cuts. They rework Blacksouls' "Not Another Love Song" featuring the sweet vocals of Rithma. Also included on this wicked package Da Sunlounge 'No Turning Back', Da Sunlounge 'Freak Show' and Shrewd 'Words'.(MYNA033)HOUSE-11/19/07-UK

NICOLA GALA
KILO TANGO (IBADAN) 12  - 107495
Nicola Gala has some pretty big shoes to fill after Nagano Kitchen's 'Destination Nagano' on Ibadan but he's more than up to the challenge and delivers quite a deep techy and soulful bomb. Dennis Ferrer, Kerri Chandler and Joe Claussell all agree, this is the shit with infectious deep effected stabs that have an accordian quality about them, dubby effects and deep driving beats.(IRC084)HOUSE-11/19/07-GE

ECHOSPACE
SPATIAL DIMENSION (ECHOSPACE) 12  - 106957
This is the first Echospace single since "The Coldest Season" dropped on Modern Love. If you liked CV313's "Dimensional Space", you'll LOVE this 12! The perfect sequel! Deep dub transmissions from the darkest recesses of the universe. Space dub supreme!!(ECHO006)HOUSE-11/19/07-UK

DAVID GUETTA
BABY WHEN THE LIGHTS *GARRAUD* (VIRGIN) 12  - 107016
HUGE TUNE! Holy shit the original mix of David Guetta's "Baby When The Lights Go Out" is massive. It begins with a sultry whispery vocal, ripping guitar riffs and epic French flair. When the track drops and builds back all funking hell breaks loose getting very much in the Switch / Herve style of dirty jacking editing and hard hitting noise / sound interludes. A few more fabulous mixes grace this platter from Laidback Luke, Joachim Garraud and Fred Rister.(BABYWHEN)HOUSE-11/19/07-FR

RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS
OTHERSIDE *ROX & TAYLOR* (WHITE) 12  - 107850
Looking to be as large as Peter Gelderblom's reworking of 'By The Way', Rox & Taylor take on another fabulous Red Hot Chili Peppers tune and rinse it out nicely. Two mixes on this plate that delve deep into the rocking side of the electro house spectrum while keeping the thoughtful, evocative emotion of the original.(RR001)HOUSE-11/19/07-UK

RADIO SLAVE
BELL CLAP DANCE *SEBO K* (REKIDS) 12  - 107929
Radio Slave has been one of our favorite, most consistently funky motherfucker of 2007. Here he unleashes a weapon that has been in his arsenal for some time, devistating dancefloors since early spring with 'Bell Clap Dance'. It's been a huge staple in his sets and has also been a HUGE tune for Josh Wink, Rob Mello and Claude Vonstroke. The original is a super deep and funky slice of electronic soul. Sebo K provides the remix, a more minimal affair on the Liebe Detail / Mos Ferry tip.(REKIDS018)HOUSE-11/19/07-UK

LOPAZZ
2 FAST 4 YOU *PAUL RITCH* (GET PHYSICAL) 12  - 107956
Get Physical regular Lopazz returns with one of the highlights from his album 'Kook Kook'. '2 Fast 4 You' is a wonderful tune positioned in between house, disco and techno and has been a fave of Dj T, Tiefschwarz, Mandy and Joakim for some time. Remixes come via Paul Ritch and Guillaume & the Couto Dumonts both of whom go the extra mile on their mixes.(GPM077)HOUSE-11/19/07-GE

DIGITAL VILLIANS
JIFFY SWING *KINKY MOVEMENT* (REPLAY) 12  - 107817
Fetish recording artists Digital Villians provide the next funking slice of jacking jazzy house on the Replay imprint, a must for fans of Da Sunlounge, Myna etc. As an added bonys, Kinky Movement (Mobile Trax/Drop Music) chime in with a wicked remix of pure bumping jacking house also very much along the lines of Da Sunlounge / Inland Knights(RR004)HOUSE-11/14/07-UK

STEVE ANGELLO
TRIX *TOCADISCO* (SIZE) 12  - 107946
Label head honcho Steve Angello turns up the heat with 'Trix', a killer house cut loaded with nasty synth arpeggios, deep driving beats and hypnotic locked on dancefloor power. This tune has been a major part of the Swedish House Maffia's (Axwell, Ingrosso and Prydz) for months now and is finally available for mass consumption. Tocadisco adds a bit of spice with a rocking more electro fulled rub, every bit as large as the original with more of a peak time pumping vibe and bigger beats & effects.(SIZE016)HOUSE-11/19/07-UK

BAGUETTE EP
V/A *LES PETIT PILOUS/DILEMN* (TURBO) 12  - 107960
Raucous aggressive raunchy dirty house action that sounds like the Ed Bangers crew in bed with Tiga on Anglo Satellite's 'Big Black Spider' as remixed by Frenchie superstars Les Petit Pilous. On the flip Dilemn's 'Ghetto Town' is another gigantic rocking piece of dirty noisy funky riot inspiring gear.(TURBO046)HOUSE-11/19/07-GE

MARTINI BROS
FROM BULEAUX *KONRAD BLACK* (POKER FLAT) 12  - 107977
The Martini Bros RETURN! And this one is awesome, folks! From Buleaux is a dirty and thick romp through dirty and and catchy basslines, through the snare pops and the swirling synths, this one is a party rocker. Theres a vocal mix (which kicks ass) and an instrumental for you purists out there. On the flip, Konrad Black does his thang with poise and grace with a hint of evil thrown in! The bassline gets dark and quite scary and the percussion gets FIERCE! This one is a walk off home run, for sure!(PFR90)TECH HOUSE-11/19/07-GE

BON JOVI
LIVING ON A PRAYER *ROADHOUSE* (WHITE) 12  - 107851
Bon Jovi gets dosed with a heavy hit of acid on this clever remake / mash up that injects 'Living On A Prayer' with a healthy dose of electro house synths while using lots of the campy original vocals. The ladies love this one on the dancefloor for sure.(RHP001)MASH UP-11/19/07-UK

CONAN LIQUID
BRING IT BACK VOL 1 (STRICTLY RHYTHM) 12  - 107900
Liquid People don Conan Manchester returns to Strictly, bringing it back to the old school with a genius selection of bangin beats and old school synth action. 'Bring It Back' follows in the same vein as Marlon D's 'Jesus Created Sound', big and simple but awesomely effective beats and synths that tear it up in the club every time. 'Yeyo's Groove' is another popping slice of straight up underground house funk with a hooky guitar line, Dj Spen styled beats and quirky synths riding over the top of the jacking groove.(SR12646)HOUSE-11/19/07-UK

HAZE & SANDY RIVERA
FREAK *ERICK E / BART B MORE* (DEFECTED) 12  - 107901
Fantastic remix package of Sandy Rivera & Haze's current club killer 'Freak' coming from Erick E, Bart B More and Baggi Begovic.(DFTD174R)HOUSE-11/19/07-UK

JIM RIVERS
JIM RIVERS REMIX EP *FANCIULLI (RENAISSANCE) 12  - 107903
Two recent Renaissance classics get the full remix workout from rising star Jim Rivers. None of this material was physically available before. First up is Nic Fanciulli's 'Cat Out Of The Bag' which see's Jim delivering the deepness that's very much in line with the recent offerings from Steve Lawler & Digweed on Renaissance. Deeply hypnotic, funky gear likely to be played across a gamut of genres including house, minimal, techno, progressive etc. On the flip Jim provides two mixes of Blue Foundation's 'Sweep' both a vocal and a dub which have a wicked acidic, electro deep Tiefschwarz vibe.(RENDIG005)HOUSE-11/19/07-UK

BITCHEE BITCHEE YA YA YA
FUCK FRIEND *CSS/YUKSEK* (KITSUNE) 12  - 107906
We've all had them, Fuck Friends that is and this ode to them is simply rocking. The original sounds like very much like Uffie styled material with a more indie rocking dance edge. This ep comes with some great remixes coming from Yuksek & Brodinski who give the track a rougher dancefloor electro edge, CSS who give it a funky 80's vibe and Mixhell. Big tune at the moment for Digitalism, Soulwax and Erol Alkan.(KITSUNE57)INDIE-11/19/07-FR

NAGANO KITCHEN
GSXR 810 (APOTEK) 12  - 107950
Striking again from the mountains of Nagano, Japan, Hideo Kobayashi & Jerome Sydenham serve up a sizzling slice of deepness. The title cut 'GSXR 810' is a a brilliant mixture of underground house and deep techno stew, like an intoxicating mix of G Man, Mr Fingers and Underground Resistance. DOPE. 'No Traffic In Nagano' is next up and continues the deep soulful techno house marriage, super deep and sexy and a big tune at the moment for Mr Chandler. Rounding off this excellent ep is 'Climbing Tateshina' a deeply hypnotic tech-houser currently doing it for Joe Claussell and Francois K.(APT003)HOUSE-11/19/07-GE

NICK HOLDER
TIME (NRK) 12  - 107902
Toronto's Nick Holder teams up with vocalist Sacha for a raw and powerfully deep tune that is going to go over big time for the Quentin Harris / Dennis Ferrer headz. Nick's production is sparse and quite hypnotic and funky and really lets Sacha's vocals breath and infect your mind. Three mixes in all on this platter including a dub and more broken mix.(NRK135)HOUSE-11/19/07-UK

DONS FT KADOC
NIGHTTRAIN 2008 (BIG BOSS) 12  - 107908
Kadoc's 1995 rave anthem is the next classic tune updated by a very busy and popular D.O.N.S. His recent retoolings of Technotronic's 'Pump Up The Jam' and Inner City's 'Big Fun' have been absolutey MASSIVE and have gone on to chart and much sales success. Here D.O.N.S works his magic on 'Nighttrain' adding a more haunting, sparse fucked up druggy vibe with pumping beats and that unmistakable 'All Aboard The Nighttrain' vocal hook.(BBR040)HOUSE-11/19/07-NL

LAYO & BUSHWACKA
SAUDADE RMX / TABLOID (OLMETO) 12  - 107976
Layo & Bushwacka deliver a rock solid remix of their own Saudade. This ones got a nice arp'ed out bassline and little dubby horn like stabbs going to and a steady percussive groove thats sure to hit home. On the flip, they go for an old school Chicago vibe with a jackin rhythm, dirrrrty bassline, and synthy buildups. We can just hear this one rocking clubs like Fabric or Pacha everywhere.(OLM013)HOUSE-11/19/07-GE

WILL SAUL *BORATTO*
SIMPLE SOUNDS EP 2 (SIMPLE) 12  - 107979
Heres the second edition of Will Saul's "Simple Sounds" EP's. This one contains an original cut from Mr Saul that is a jaunt through chord stabs and warm pads, not to mention some really hot percussion!! Just a dreamy house cut that sounds unkistakeably Will Saul. And for the flipside, they got mr Gui Boratto to work his magic on Will Sauls "Sequential Circus" and boy did he do it right! This is a throwback to the early days of Gui Boratto with complete deepness, and dopeness! Warm and semi fuzzy with startling percussion and just over all good vibes.(SIMPLE0727)HOUSE-11/19/07-GE

METRO AREA
MIURA *EDIT* (WHITE) 12  - 107683
Wicked re-edit of Metro Area's biggest hit 'Miura'. This spanking new edit takes the track even deeper than the original pushing the hypnotic bassline way to the front of the mix while adding a tripped out sustained pad and toning down the 'bop bop' synth/vocal part. Very cool gear indeed.(MIURA2001)DISCO-11/19/07-UK

FEIST
SEA LION WOMAN *MARYMARY* (WHITE) 12  - 107856
Naughty copies of Feist's cover of Nina Simone's 'Sea Line Woman'. Very cool and limited action here.(MARYMARY03)HOUSE-11/19/07-FR

POPOF
ALCOOLIC *WOOLFORD* (CR2) 12  - 107940
20:20 Vision's go to guy Paul Woolford provides the remix on Popof's hot new joint 'Alcoolic'. His mix is super bad ass having an almost dubstep vibe to the shaking bassline and a hot Herve / Sinden appeal to the grooves.(12C2069)HOUSE-11/19/07-UK

BUTCH
FALLING *BROOM/FEX* (CRAFT) 12  - 107953
The prolific funky man Butch returns to Craft with another searing production of deep dirty undergound house action. 'Falling' has an insane synth riff, pulsing hypnotic bass, dirty effects and driving beats. It has already got much love from Lutzenkirchen, Oliver Koletzki and John Dahlback. Remixes come courtesy of Mark Broom who goes down a very BPitch route and Dj Fex who provides some great play on the original synth riff, layering it nicely and giving it a playful funky more energetic vibe, definitely less dark but no less funky!(CRAFT028)HOUSE-11/19/07-GE

LUCIANO
ETUDES ELECTRONIQUE *DP* (CADENZA) DP  - 107968
SICK double pack here from Luciano on his own Cadenza imprint. 4 cuts of groovy and techy goodness with that organic Cadenza feel, save for the D-side which is more techy and dark. All contain that signature Luciano awkward, yet undeniable groove. If youre not familiar with Luciano's work, think a more danceable Villalobos and youre close.(CADENZA21)HOUSE-11/19/07-GE

AUDIO SOUL PROJECT *MAZI*
SHE TURNS RED *DURIEZ* (FRESH MEAT) 12  - 107971
Heres a couple remixes of Mazi's Audio Soul Project from House of Black Dress and David Duriez. First up, House of Black Dress bring us a metallic house romp with lots of tweaks to the synth, as well as the bass. Complete with female moans and sick percussion work. On the flip, David Duriez gets a bit darker than usual with a deep hypno bassline and a positively mesmerizing breakdown.(FMEAT08)HOUSE-11/19/07-GE

SUPERMAYER
THE ART OF LETTING GO (KOMPAKT) 12  - 107983
Final installment of the Ten Years of Treibstoff compilation. We start with the Falco Brockseiper cut. Exactly what you would expect: a driving beat with shifty percussion, and lots of strange but catchy elements thrown in to beef the floor up a bit. Next is Sarah Goldfarb with a stunning deep and dark cut with a vocoded vocal and nice warm chord stabs. But it is all about the flipside when Robert Babicz steps to the plate for a major headfuck of a track with a deeeep rolling bassline and a very interesting repeated klang sound that just grabs you and pulls you in. This is late night tech house at it's absolute finest!  (KOMPAKT167)TECH HOUSE-11/19/07-GE

EINZELKIND
SPAMBOT *TOMBA EDIT* (PLAYHOUSE) 12  - 107984
Heres an edit of the Einzelkind cut from earlier this year called Spambot. Its done by Tomba (Basti from Tiefschwarz, and Tomilla of Turntablerockers fame) and it's quite the monster. Not in the bangin sense, but the way it flows and builds, the room has no choice but to scream with pleasure! On the flip, an original Einzelkind production thats stripped down and sleek and fun for mixing. Simple percussion and a slightly acidic element underneath the warm pads and chords.     (PLAY140)TECH HOUSE-11/19/07-GE

BABICZ/BROCKSIEPER/GOLDFARB
PT 3 TEN YEARS OF TREIBSTOFF (TREIBSTOFF) 12  - 107985
Final installment of the Ten Years of Treibstoff compilation. We start with the Falco Brockseiper cut. Exactly what you would expect: a driving beat with shifty percussion, and lots of strange but catchy elements thrown in to beef the floor up a bit. Next is Sarah Goldfarb with a stunning deep and dark cut with a vocoded vocal and nice warm chord stabs. DUSTY KID
LUNA (BPITCH CTRL) 12  - 107986
Heres a sick on from Dusty Kid on Bpitch CTRL by the name of Luna. A twilight tech house cut, to say the least. Kinda reminiscent of the older, housier side of Kanzleramt releases. On the flip is a couple of remixes. 1st off, we have Tadeo with a stripped down and semi acidic deep cut, while Lee Van Dowski gets busy with a more staggard approach.(BPITCH)TECH HOUSE-11/19/07-GE

DJ LAB
CULTURE BOX II *DEADBEAT* (ECHOCORD) 12  - 107987
DJ Lab returns to Echocord for another outing of dubby tech house with a hint of dub reggae thrown in. Which is probably why he enlisted Deadbeat for a remix! Truly a refreshing take on this sound. Lots of busy high end with a severely broken and dubbed out beat. Respectable for those who might not even be into this sort of thing. And on the flip, Dandy Jack & he Riget do their wacky house stylings to make things a bit more daceable.(ECHOCORD27)TECH HOUSE-11/19/07-GE

AGNELLI LUCA
BOOSTER (MY BEST FRIEND) 12  - 107988
Heres a mental one from Luca Agnelli for the My Best Friend label. The a-side is a nervous tech house romp with all the hypnotic elements that normally come from this label. On the flip, things get a bit deeper and darker. And let me tell you, the bass is the winner on this one.(MPF120037)TECH HOUSE-11/19/07-GE

CRAFTSMAN FT DIAMONDANCER
SHALL WE BEGIN *J FIASCO* (YAKUZA) 12  - 107819
The original mix of 'Shall We Begin' is a soulful slice of deep undulating house action with a hypnotic vibe, a catchy vocal part, nicely effected stabs, deep bits of percussion and swirling pads that keep you completely captivated. Johnny Fiasco serves up a jazzier beefed up mix with snazzy key riffs, a super funky new bassline and jacking beats. He also pushes the very cool vocal to the forefront of the mix.(YAK004)HOUSE-11/19/07-UK

JOHN DAHLBACK
HUSTLE UP *promo* (DATA) 12  - 107941
John Dahlback has become a dance music icon with his slick productions finding their way onto just about every dope underground imprint around. His productions have also started creeping into the larger arena with recent releases on the French major indie Paradise, remixes for EMI, Ministry Of Sound etc. Here on Data John drops a killer electro house bomb with a main synth hook that is set to be as large as Samim's "Heater" (minus the actual accordian). Big rocking beats and pristine production round off 'Hustle Up' which is available here in PRE RELEASE LIMITED QUANTITIES.(DATA178TP)HOUSE-11/19/07-UK

DIRT CREW *T CLARK*
RAW RMXS *MOTORCITYSOUL* (DIRT CREW) 12  - 107969
Heres a hot set of remixes for the Dirt Crew's "Raw". The first mix comes from Motorcitysoul with a very berlin meets detroit deep yet acidic tech house cut. Warm pads, and deep bass are the highlights here. Next up is Baumel & Dos Santos with a more hypnotic and even slightly more dirty remix. followed by Tom Clark, with a deep techy cut that makes you feel lost at sea.(DIRT020)HOUSE-11/19/07-GE

DELETE
BLEEP THAT GLITCH (FRANKIE) 12  - 107970
It's Frnkie records like this one specifically that remind us why we love the label in the first place. Always coming correct with semi obnoxious rhythms that just seem to work. Not too over the top, but yet slightly abrasive. This one is spot on. All 4 cuts have acidic tendencies that loop and swirl and generally throw you off balance, but that might just be due to you pumping your first in the air, as well.(FRANKIE027)TECH HOUSE-11/19/07-GE

HOSH
WHITE ELEPHANT (KINDISCH) 12  - 107972
H.O.S.H. bring us a SICK one for the GET PHYSICAL sublabel of Kindisch. Deep and synthy bass here with lots of resonation and a groove that just will not quit. On the flip, similar sounds, but more of a Sterac or Chain Reaction kind of vibe. Not one to be missed.(KINDISCH11)TECH HOUSE-11/19/07-GE

SVEN TASNADI /BRAUNS & NURNBERG
A RUN INTO FLOWERS (LIEBE DETAIL) 12  - 107973
Another top notch split 12" for the Liebe Detail camp. For this one, theyve enlisted some up and comers. On the A-side, Sven Tasnadi gives us a warm house builder that sounds somewhere between MAW and Jaguar era UR. For the A-side, Brauns & Nurnberg give us a minimal house treat with a dry beat but a deep, warm bassline. Not to mention the gentle pads.(LIEBE020)TECH HOUSE-11/19/07-GE

GUMMIHZ
MIND GAMES (MOBILEE) 12  - 107974
Gummihz deliver a BOMB here! A slow creeper of a cut thats sure to blow the whole room up upon first play! A slow moving builder that gets scarier and louder and louder till the whole track just explodes! There hasnt been one like this in a lil while, and it might be the biggest thing on Mobilee all year! Well, besides Cenotes... anyhow... the flipside cut is more of a minimal tech house groover with a bumpin bassline.(MOBILEE031)MINIMAL TECHNO-11/19/07-GE

KAORU INOUE
SECRET FIELD *TERJE* (MULE MUSIQ) 12  - 107975
Kaoru Inoue delivers a 12" to Mule Musiq that fits right in there for their wide range and forward thinking house music sensibilities. The lead cut is a slow and deep kickless cut thats anything but ambient. Low congas and guitar sounds, with synthy things going on to create a sense of busyness. After that, an ambient cut! But on the flip, Todd Terje goes apeshit and throws his foot right in the remix! This one is an absolute space disco masterpiece! Even if it's not your sort of thing (alot of people felt this way about Lindstrom's "I Feel Space"), we're pretty sure youll be feeling this one.(MULE020)HOUSE-11/19/07-GE

MIA *KIKI/AUTOTUNE*
BITTERSUSS RMX 2 (SUBSTATIC) 12  - 107980
Heres 2 new remixes from MIA's "Bittersuss" LP released earlier this year. First up, we have Kiki with a tense but floaty tech house cut complete with catchy melodic strings, vocal stabs and stiff percussion. Next up is Autotune, with a creepy and bubbly tech house remix thats on the hypnotic tip. Finally, an original from MIA called Cold City which previously unreleased until now. This one is on the deep late night tip.(SUBSTAT67)TECH HOUSE-11/19/07-GE

BAXENDALE
MUSIC FOR GIRLS (SST) 12  - 107989
Baxendale are a 3 piece group from the UK who make primarily synth based pop music. Lots of respect for them amongst the Germans (Michael Mayer, Superpitcher, etc). With this one, its a high energy romp for the most part, until you hit the Ada remix. A deep and smoky tech house cut primed and ready for the late hours. Next up is the Salz remix, which is a tech house cut in the tradtional sense of the word. Nice stuff for fans of more commercial things, as well as the undergro
und. If youve been grabbing the Traci Thorn remixes as of late, you should be grabbing this as well.                    (SST015)HOUSE-11/19/07-GE

BANGKOK IMPACT
PREMATURE EJACULATION (CREME) 12  - 108012
Bangkok Impact return with a tune that takes much of its inspiration from Patrick Cowley's mix of Donna Summer's 'I Feel Love' with epic anthemic futuristic disco synth arpeggios, layered with effects and laser sound creating a truly invigorating dancefloor experience. The cut on the flip is a similarly styled epic italo romp of sweet synth melodies and futuristic beats, sounds and effects. Another winner from these luminaries.(CR1238)DISCO-11/19/07-NL

BELZEBU TALES (ESKIMO) 12  - 107863
Eskimo have possibly found their next Lindstrom here with Simone Fedi. With a healthy dose if live instruments alongside vintage analog synthesizers, Simone has managed to create some epic bearded disco with a heavy guitar edge on 'Belzebu Tales'. A must for any fan of Brennan Green. 'Judas' delves further into the Italo side of the spectrum and also features some heavy duty guitar work that both Tiga and Lindstrom have gone gaga for. Rounding off this amazing debut is '2M 6Ft' another superb future disco gem that relies heavily on live and vintage gear for production and also features some great disco percussion.(501974)BEARDED DISCO-11/19/07-NL

DOMINIK EULBERG
BIONIK *LP* (COCOON) LP  - 107951
Mr Dominik Eulberg is maybe one of the oddest characters in house & techno nowadays, but also one of the nicest and most down to earth producers you'll meet. He has the special skill that many lack of combining sound and art research with solid and straight forward funky productions. 7 intense productions appear on this wicked LP, tracks that will move house floors, techno rooms and even trance crowds. Beautiful, funky, stunning, soulful and downright cool shit from this smooth character.(COR015-3)HOUSE-11/19/07-GE

HUGG & PEPP
PAPA (DAHLBACK) 12  - 107954
John & Jesper Dahlback team up once again for another round on their Dahlback imprint. The result is nothing short of what you'd expect from these top producers, dope funky ass music. Both cuts on this ep have an old school appeal thanks to some rave inspired piano licks but that's where the retro stops and the new funky production begins. Top notch gear from this dynamic duo.(DAR012)HOUSE-11/19/07-GE

BEANER
VIAJE A VILLA SAN BONOBO (DISTRICT OF CORRUPTION) 12  - 107990
Deep and creepy is the name of the game for this new release on District of Corruption. Echo treated bass with some chord stabs that sound like clocks for a while then reveal themselves to round the track out quite well. After that, the pace gets picked up a bit with a heavier kick and other little dubby elements. On the flip, DOC label boss, Aaron Hedges provides a remix that sounds like some of the stuff coming out on Clink these days. Thick minimal techno sounds with all balls, baby(DOC21)TECH HOUSE-11/19/07-GE

BENNO BLOME
ERAMINA (ERAMINA) 12  - 107991
Sender's Benno Blome here with a new outing with an intersting concept to it. The a-side is a direct steady tech house beat combined with FX galore and a very catchy synth line. On the flip, a 20 minute FX tool that tells some sort of science fiction story.(ERAMINA01)TECH HOUSE-11/19/07-GE

SUTEKH
ELEPHANT AND OBELISK (ORAC) 12  - 107994
Heavy beated tech house stuff here from Sutekh on the Orac label based out of Los Angeles. Rough edged beats and jazzy stabs to get things moving real properlike. Not to mention the blazing synths. Definitely meaner than the usual stuff that comes from Sutekh. On the flip, the 303 gets broken out for a techy and very funky romp.(ORAC27)TECH HOUSE-11/19/07-GE

MATHIAS SCHAFFHAUSER
GOTT IST TOT (WARE) 12  - 107995
Heres on on Ware that should please you, if you like the tech house. The original mix is more of a stripped down tweaky cut thats sure to please the Josh Wink fans out there. Hell, were pretty sure it's already pleased him, as we're quite sure he woill be playing this one. And on the flip, Apendics
Shuffle gets down and dirty with a slightly meaner take on the original work. Lots of FX washes and really good clap sounds with a bumpin bassline. (WARE75)TECH HOUSE-11/19/07-GE

DUPLEX
AUTOSAMPLE (FRANTIC FLOWERS) 12  - 106806
'Vivid Array' first up on this excellent three tracker from Duplex is a fierce uptempo Detroit techno tune with gorgeous touches of jazz elements and a Mad Mike vibe, deep and epic. 'What To Do' is up next and is very old school Autechre / Black Dog flavored. Rounding off the ep is 'Where's My City' another deep jazz fuelled techno gem.(FS007)HOUSE-11/19/07-NL

JILL JONES VS FUNKY JUNCTION
SOMEONE TO JUMP TO *WAWA* (STONEY BOY) 12  - 107914
You might recognize Jill Jones from here appearance on Prince's Paisley Park label. Here she provides the vocals for Funky Junction's 'Someone To Jump To', an energetic funky house cut that sounds like earlier Defected material ala Kathy Brown or Michelle Weeks with strong vocals, pumping beats and big dancefloor production. Wawa provides the remix here, a more electro fuelled epic mix with insane synth action and deeply hypnotic grooves and effects.(SBM036)HOUSE-11/19/07-NL

LOWKEY & KARDINAL / POPOFF
MAMOTH (SPICY) 12  - 107939
Flip this one straight over and head for Popof & Noia Sin's remix of 'Mamoth', it's a noisy, rambunctious, pummeling remix that fans of Sebastian should NOT miss out on. Energetic, raucous, crazy edits, huge energy, filtering, constantly edited, switching beats and grooves. Ed Bangers all the way, not some bullshit imitation gear.(SPICY001)NU RAVE-11/19/07-FR

POPULAR TYRE
ROBOT LOVE / I WANNA BE IGNORE (EATS SOME REAL) 12  - 107945
If there's one bassline so far this year that made us say HOLY SHIT, it's gotta be Popular Tyre's 'Robot Love'. It's a two tiered bassline with a heavy slurring almost dubstep inspired wobbly sustained line holding down a rhythmic bottom end while a tough as nails harder hitting punchy line on top hits you in the chest like a wrecking ball. A Kitsune styled vocal, dirty synth action and sleazy slow beats round off this awesome tune. BIG OFFICE BUZZ ON THIS FUCKER!(EATS1)HOUSE-11/19/07-UK

XENIA BELIAYEVA
MUSIC *KIKO* (DATAPUNK) 12  - 107955
'Music, I Need More Music, Music and More', quite a catchy vocal hook and with Anthony Rother on the production desk, you know this one is hot. The vibe is dark and Hacker-esque with moody synth melodies, driving beats and some cool noisy grooves. Dj Hell has been all over this. Kiko serves up the remix, very similar in style with more of a dubbed out vocal part.(DTP027)HOUSE-11/19/07-GE

Consisting of Danielle Moore and Tim Davies of Crazy P, and renowned producer Ben Davis (Paper Recordings / Shaboom), the Bionics have created is a sublime piece of dance floor soul in 'Love Chains'.  Deep, spacey Rhodes and sparse beats sit perfectly under Danni's vocals as the track builds up to an acid gear shift and then finishes off with a driving bass and subtle chord changes.  The master of the edit, Greg Wilson stretches things out and takes it down for a 10 minute ride through the deep stuff that has been featuring extensively in his sets of late. MUMBLE MOUTH *STYLE OF EYE* (DOTBLEEP) 12  - 107575
Style of Eye provide two devistating mixes of Natural Rhythm's monster 'Mumble Mouth'. The original mix was and continues to be a HUGE track for Heather, Derrick Carter, Farina and Brett Johnson. The first new mix, 'Less Talk Mix' is pure jack with a mumbled vocal and wearing the trademark Style Of Eye thumping groove. The bassline hits with great force and the bleeps and bleeps are bleeping nasty. The 'Lets Talk' mix takes it to another level with more use of the original weirdo vocal cutting in and out, the track takes a mind of its own with weird and wonderful noises setting the tracks tempo.(DBR020)HOUSE-11/12/07-UK

MusicLoveLife are Phil Asher and Mark De Clive Lowe and here give their take on the hot Fidget house sound with 'Aphromash'. We start with the 'Tech' mix which features a filthy bassline, deep dirty jacking beats, tripped effected sounds and slick techy stabs that wind throughout the funked out fidget grooves. The main mix has a sweet vocal hook and more Switch styled bass, backed by that wicked deeply effected sound. The Deadset stuff has been blowing us away lately. So groovy and fun that whenever any of their cuts are on, its hard not to bounce along, and even sometimes scream! Tick Tock is one of those choons. UNDERWORLD
OBLIVION WITH BELLS *DLP* (DIFFERENT) DP  - 107335
GATEFOLD DOUBLE ALBUM. Underworld are back with a soulful, contemplative, yet typically uplifting album. The single and album opener 'Crocodile' is simply as good as they get. 'Ring Road' sees Hyde off on one of his famous psycho-geographic jaunts (this one around Romford, on St George’s Day), marking time with his compelling word rhythms, while the treated found sounds in 'Cuddle Bunny Vs Celtic Villages' conjures a decidedly non-cuddly, almost menacing atmosphere. The lusciusly lowering 'Beautiful Burnout' features Underworld's trademark synth swathes and swells with a somehow doomed beauty, but the minimal 'Holding The Moth' boasts such a bass-y spring it practically bounces clean off the vinyl. 'Glam Bucket' meanwhile, shimmers like a sheet of liquid crystal and 'Best Mamgu Ever' offers a sliver of downbeat, Balearic bliss at the album’s close.(4511081012)HOUSE-10/29/07-BE

Navid Tahernia whipped up this masterpiece for Kompakt Extra and damn are we impressed over here! The A-side is a loopy mechanical cut with lots of noisey build up things and a very scary undertone. Really good for picking up the pace. On the flip, our man brings the 303 out for a stunning acid line (not unlike old Mike Ink) and dusts off the 909 for what sounds like it very well could have been produced 10 years ago, given the spirit of the track. MAETRIK
FUTURE WILL *BREITBARTH* (TREIBSTOFF) 12  - 102053
Maetrik has been on fire lately! This 12" would be right up there with the best of them for him. Future Will Survive is a groovy minimal jam with some deepness to it, with some really random sick ass basslines thrown in, resembling some MISC stuff. Also a vocoded voice spelling things out from time to time. On the flip, Rene Breitbarth give it his special touch making it a bit more streamlined, and definitely solidifying its home on this label called Treibstoff. So, if you like the Treibstoff stuff than you wont be disappointed here.(TREIB70)MINIMAL HOUSE- 2/26/07-GE

DOMESTIC HOUSE
METRO AREA
METRO AREA 7(ENVIRON) 12  107128
"Read My Mind" is the first full-on vocal track to actually be released by Metro Are Featuring the incredible pipes of Philip Owusu (of Ubiquity Records' Owusu & Hannibal), "Read My Mind" is a dynamic boogie romp full of contrast: sweet yet meloncholy, warm yet raw. It hearkens back to the days where songwriting and arrangement still had a place in dance music and we hope you'll love it. And for the beat purists, there's an irresistible "RMM Special Dub" version - perfect for doubles! Flipping to the B-side yields "Erodyne" - an incredible space-disco epic that rocks time and space, looking forward with angular arpeggiated riffs and futurist moods while anchored by an undeniably D.I.S.C.O. groove.(ENV030) 11/16/07-US

SLUM SCIENCE & HOODFELLAS
EARLY SMOKE (SMOKE CITY) 12  - 107444
The new Smoke City imprint kicks off in fine underground house fashion, with this hot split EP from the Slum Science lads and the Hoodfellas sharing duties over three cuts. Slum Science’s “Down Time” is a serious groover here, with hypnotic horn samples and a chunky bass loop swirling around in a dense and dubby dnacefloor haze. Meanwhile the Hoodfella’s “3 Way” goes for jazzy approach with plenty of cut-up samples and choppy drums keeping things creative. Danny White’s re-edit is more of a stripped-down and tasteful approach for a nice late night mover. Excellent label debut for Smoke City. (SCM001)HOUSE-11/07/07-US

SOUND REPUBLIC
PENNY SLOTS/BUMPIN ENJOYMENT (SPATULA CITY) 12  - 107443
Chicago’s nefarious new-school jackmasters are back with the latest installment of house hijinks on the new two-tracker from their excellent Spatula City imprint. Two cuts of trademark Sound Republic cut-up party-time grooves, with “Penny Slots” riffing a cool soulful/disco loop with a bouncing bassline and shuffling drums. The flip “Bumpin’ Enjoyment” works a tight filtered jazzy groove for a very effective deep house cut that recalls the classic Inland Knights vibe. Loving the Guns and Roses styled cover art on this EP as well!! Definitely a standout release for these boys,  (SPAT007)HOUSE-11/07/07-US

JODY WISTERNOFF
STARSTRINGS (DIRTY SOUL) 12  - 107912
Jody's biog is deceptive, as he's achieved so much in a short space of time. Selling over 100,000 albums and delivering a Top 40 hit with his band Way Out West would be enough for most people. Yet along side their 3 Albums, countless remixes and production duties on everyone from the astonishingly cool (James Holden, The Orb, Roni Size) to the ridiculous (Natalie Imbruglia) Jody has managed to create music that not only elevates every dance floor but has also been used heavily in film and TV (The OC, CSI, Grey's). Right now, with a new Way Out West album slowly taking shape he has been producing solo works. His first solo single 'ColdDrink, Hot Girl' came out on Distinctive, followed by 'Nostalgia'. 'Starstrings' is his third single with vocal contributions from the infamout Dirty Princess. On the house break beat tip, Jody delivers  dreamy yet powerful soulful track. Fans have been raving about it from the moment Jody uploaded a snippet to his myspace page.(DIRTY016)TRANCE-11/19/07-NL

G PLATZ *PIG & DAN* (AUDIOTHERAPY) 12  - 107646
If you took Gary Numan strings and a healthy dose of psychedelic mushrooms, you'll get the starting point for the synths on 'G Platz'. Those nasty strings are backed by funky electro synths, deep jacking beats and serious effects. The breakdown furthers the psychedelic journey with freaky tripped out vocal snippets, weirdo editing and a nice building moment. Remix comes from Pig & Dan who provide an equally trippy slightly harder hitting mix.(AT041)ELECTRO HOUSE-11/12/07-UK

PHUSED (RESET) 12  - 107333
Genix's original is a chunky, driving tech-trancer in the Spinnin style of things. It features a strong emotive breakdown that has much dancefloor impact. Marcus Schossow mix is one of those reworkings that outdoes the original, taking it deep into demented schizophrenic waters that are deep, melodic and quite techy with pads that flashback to Jam & Spoon's 'Stella' and multiple hypnotizing riffs riding on top of that!(RS029)PROGRESSIVE-10/22/07-NL

Like the vintage techstep dons of yore it's a stubborn groove which demands movement on the floor. Switching things up "Cold World" burns white hot with half time pressure that will turn heads, featuring Inja on vocal duty expect this to be a massive hit with the more underground selectors - crossing over into the dubstep domain nicely. With lasers set to stun "Glitch" provides you with even more variety. This slow burning masterpiece is a jaw dropping piiece of future funk, with glitchy bitcrushed synths and some heavyweight reese bass pressure jostling for attention. TECHNO
TERRENCE DIXON
DIRECTIONS (UNDERLINE) 12  - 107570
Underl_ne meets Terrence Dixon, the first 12" in a forthcoming series of thrilling twisted vintage electro, and minimal dubby walks in space. A perfect blend of old school timeless Utensil gear with a slightly more experimental edge and modern dubby minimal tech gear. Getting much props and plays from Pheek, Anja Schneider, Magda and Troy Pierce.(UND014)TECHNO-11/19/07-UK

WILD DAMON
UNCONDITIONAL (SYNEWAVE) 12  - 107938
Deep, driving hypnotic techno from legendary NY producer Damon Wild. The title cut 'Unconditional' sounds like a techno version of Mission Control's 'Outta Space' with hauntingly deep effects, sparse grooves and a killer rumbling bassline. This shit is psychedelic and funky as fuck. On the flip, you'll find two more funky techno numbers, a bit tougher and perfect for fans of say Adam Beyer.(SW071)TECHNO-11/19/07-FR

PORNOGRAPHIC
22ST PORN CUT (PORNOGRAPHIC) 12  - 107812
Cristian Varela turns in smoking new technoid mixes of the 80's hit from Michael Zager Band 'Let's All Chant'. Cristian first remixed this tune over four years ago to much acclaim, especially from Carl Cox and Valentino Kanzyani both of whom still regularly play that mix which also appears on this 12". Another deeper more tech-house mix from rising Spanish star Sergy Cattle is included on this package as well.(PORNO022)TECHNO-11/12/07-GE
