Style of Eye provide two devistating mixes of Natural Rhythm's monster 'Mumble Mouth'. The original mix was and continues to be a HUGE track for Heather, Derrick Carter, Farina and Brett Johnson. The first new mix, 'Less Talk Mix' is pure jack with a mumbled vocal and wearing the trademark Style Of Eye thumping groove. The bassline hits with great force and the bleeps and bleeps are bleeping nasty. BRACE YOURSELVES! This one is a fucking MONSTER! Ame do it again for one of their strongest pieces since "Rej". This one is based around a deep rolling bassline, and some nice percussion work to get things moving. Then, slowly the horns come in. Saxophones, tombones, french hors and god only knows what else... all building and building and building to the point where you just HAVE to scream! We heard it in action late in the summer season when Dixon came through to play in our beloved L.I.C. for an outdoor party and it was all we could talk about the whole week! Someone went dumpster diving for DAT's & CDR's and found this incredible and unreleased Justice mix of Satine's "Corrupted". You know the score when it comes to Justice, aggressive, noisy funky ass shaking business with relentless energy, raucous beats and grooves. The Deadset stuff has been blowing us away lately. So groovy and fun that whenever any of their cuts are on, its hard not to bounce along, and even sometimes scream! Tick Tock is one of those choons. Get Physical has been one of the most consistent imprints around, always finding the cream of the crop of cuts. Here Audiofly X return with a double A sided ep of pure deep house delight. The title cut 'Blink' has a sophisticated sound that starts off with a slow drum groove before the urgent sounding synth riffs and effects find their way into the mix to pick up the energy. 'Always You' is a deep brooding vocal track with emotional melodies, a melancholic vocal and sweet beats. Ewan Pearson provides the remix, kicking up the beats a touch and adding a lovely hypnotic edge similar to Sonar Kollektiv / Innervisions styled gear. Oh my god! What is this? Incredible but true, this is a wicked collaboration between Mister Systematic Marc Romboy and Brasilian Kompakt figure Gui Boratto. Both icons provide mixes of 'Eurasia' on this release, the only problem we have with this record is which one to play first. NU GENERATION OLDSCHOOL MUGGAS (ROOTZ) 12  - 107772
Basoski's 'Nu Generation' series continues with its third offering, 'Oldschool Muggas'. As with the previous editions, Olav introduces some spanking new talent and provides a killer track himself. Not surprisingly, Neil C's 'This Is The Way' sounds a lot like an Olav production with huge dancefloor beats and much funky melody and groove action. Next up is Jazzy Bronze with 'Evil You' a dope filtering funky house number with hard edged pumping beats, edgy guitar/sunth action and full on aggressive filtering and effects. Ed Bangers fans should not miss out on the TEPR & Yuksek 'Highspeed On The Highway Remix', it's a noisy, raucous and lively mix that has been getting run by Justice and Sebastian. Kitsune act The Whip returns to Southern Fried for their second outing. 'Sister Siam' is a punky, raucous slice of rock / indie dance with a definite nod to the French Nu Rave sound featuring a slick and super catchy vocal with synths to match and big dancefloor energy. Justin Robertson provides the remix, a mix that fucks with the vocals nicely and washes out the synths through some dirty effects while building energy nicely. Rene Amesz's mix has breakier beats and has been a staple in Micky Slim and Chris Lake's sets.
