NAGANO KITCHEN
DESTINATION NAGANO (IBADAN) 12  - 106201
Jerome Sydenham & Hideo Kobayashi team up once again as Nagano Kitchen and deliver the deep electronic soul with "Destination Nagano". It's a wicked techy house ride laden with moody melodies, trippy effects and classic Chicago and Detroit inspired rhythms. On the flip "Head" is a more stripped down track with old school Chi-town chords and minimal techno flair.(IRC082)HOUSE- 8/27/07-GE

NAGANO KITCHEN
NORTH CENTRAL (APOTEK) 12  - 105935
The second instalment from the Apotek Records imprint puts the Nagano Kitchen duo of Jerome Sydenham and Hideo Kobayashi back in action again. FREAKS
THE CREEPS *MICKY SLIM* (DATA) 12  - 106175
If you have been on any discerning dancefloor in the past few years, you've undoubtedly shaken your booty to this funky little anthem by the Freaks. Originally out on their MFF imprint, then licensed to Azuli this number refuses to be left out the crate and with new mixes from the red hot Micky Slim, Vandalism and Thomas Gold along with in insanely catchy vocal from Freaks vocalist Stella Attar, this tune will continue to shake asses for years to come.(DATA157T)HOUSE- 8/27/07-UK

DJ GREGORY
ELLE *AME* (DEFECTED) 12  - 106192
DJ Gregory's seminal deep house cut 'Elle' gets the remix treatment from hot German producers Ame, who take this track to another level with a percussive techno influenced groove. Ame continue in their rich vein of form and pull off the nearly impossible task of remixing a classic tune. Their stunning reworking of DJ Gregory's 'Elle' retains the ambient keys and floating melodies of the original, while their trademark driving basslines and beautifully layered percussion, combined with a well-timed and ultimately epic break, make an unmistakable mark upon the production. The awesome original also finds a home on this platter.(DFTD164)HOUSE- 8/27/07-UK

DJ T
THE DAWN *WOODY* (GET PHYSICAL) 12  - 106197
The Dawn first appeared in May of this year, a typically refined and sumptuous deep house number that continues to be a fixture in the sets of house's elite. Here the ep finds a few hot new makeovers, the first coming from Dj T himself. He retools "Jam Pot" into an Ame styled hypnotic deep and techy gem that is simply brilliant. On the flip Dj T enlists Woody to rework the title cut "The Dawn" and result is undoubtly psychedelic and quite powerful with minimalist drum patterns, deep driving keys and rhythms that are sure to shake some feets and asses.(GPM075)HOUSE- 8/27/07-GE

PROXY
DECOY / READY TO WATCHING (TURBO) 12  - 106209
If Justice, Simian Mobile Disco and Sebastien got together and rocked out, it would sound much like "Decoy", Proxy's massive follow up to "Destroy". It is a smashing nu rave anthem of the highest calibre with relentless energy. All the Ed Bangers / Kitsune people must get on this quick!(TURBO042)HOUSE- 8/27/07-GE

ARMAND VAN HELDEN
I WANT YOUR SOUL *RMX* (PIAS) 12  - 106182
Armand uses the vocals from Siedah Garrett's 80's classic "Do You Want It Right Now" and laces them into a new club cut here on "I Want Your Soul", a true highlight from his "Ghettoblaster" album. Two mixes on this plate, both club bombs looking to eclipse the massive "NYC Beat" which is still getting major plays just about everywhere.(4493095131)HOUSE- 8/27/07-BE

NATHAN FAKE
YOU ARE HERE *FOUR TET* (BORDER COMMUNITY) 12  - 106273
Latest release from James Holden's Border Community imprint, taken from Nathan Fake's critically acclaimed 'Drowning in A Sea Of Love' long player. Beautifully melodic electronica on the live version while the album version picks up the pace with great breaky live sounding beats and more beautiful melodies. Four Tet's mix is a brooding mix that reminds us of Underworld material. Two more spaced out slices of electronica grace the flip.(17BC)HOUSE- 8/27/07-UK

TALKING HEADS
PSYCHO KILLER *LEXICON AVE* (WHITE) 12  - 106022
Lexicon Avenue have a knack of taking old tracks and turning them into modern day club anthems. When they first unleashed their legendary take on Depeche Modes "Only When I Lose Myelf", Dave Gahan promtly commissioned them to remix his solo single "Dirty Sticky Floors". This time Talking Heads classic "Psycho Killer" gets the Lexicon Avenue treatment with devistating effect and is already causing a stir from the handful of CD's given out. GUI BORATTO
CHROMOPHOBIA REMIXE PT 2 (KOMPAKT) 12  - 106233
This set of remixes of Gui Boratto is dedicated to just one track called "Beautiful Life". On the A-side, theres the original 12" mix which was not contained on the full length LP. I guess so many people requested a full 12" version that the Kompakt boys were forced to press one up for everyone! This one is primed and ready to destroy the open air parties all summer long, so be prepared! 2 mixes on the flipside. The first one is from Mr Boratto himself, reworking things in a bit more stripped down manner, while Sascha Funke tightens it up a bit and makes it a bit punchier.(KOMPAKT161)- 8/27/07-GE

INNERSPHERE
PHUNK *STEVE ANGELLO* (SIZE) 12  - 106290
Innersphere aka Shinedoe (Trapez) drops this next slab of deep tech "Phunk" on the size imprint. The original mix features deep and quite nasty techy synth grooves with a freaky effected stab, hypnotic rhythms and driving beats. Swedish House Mafioso Steve Angello provides the remix which keeps the vibe deep sexy and techy with just a bit more bump in the beats.(SIZE015)HOUSE- 8/27/07-UK

AXWELL FT MAX C
I FOUND U *TV ROCK/SOUL AVENGE (POSITIVA) 12  - 105844

SIKK
THE WHISPER *S WEBER* (PINKSTAR) 12  - 105587
Amazing follow-up to their MASSIVE 'Washing Machine' track which was caned to death by the likes of DJ Hell, Tiga, Deep Dish, Satoshi Tomiie and so many more! 'The Whisper' is a big, infectious electro groover with jacking beats that take control right from the start. Infectious synth stabs and handl claps are joined by a killer lead riff and serious bassline. Sven Weber's remix adds lots of digital crunch and big analogue bass to an already huge foundation. Kids who like the Craft and Great Stuff labels will LOVE this mix.(PKS010)ELECTRO HOUSE- 8/27/07-GE

JS16
ROSE GARDEN (VIP) 12  - 106171
Huge tune at the moment for Pete Tong, "Rose Garden" is a powerful club cut with funky hollow synth riffs, pulsating stabs, a catchy vocal bit, big ballsy beats and relentless dancefloor energy. There's a big siren inflammed break which builds the energy even further on this number. This is what is meant when people talk prime time action people!(VIP005)ELECTRO HOUSE- 8/27/07-GE

MADONNA / SALT N PEPPA
LA ISLA BONITA / PUSH IT (KOLOMBOOT) 12  - 106186
LouLou / Blufin's producer extraodinaire Kolombo provides two sneaky mixes on this limited edition bootie. On the A Madonna's "La Isla Bonita" gets a tough and quite funky electro house retooling while Salt N' Peppa's "Push It" receives a similar splicing and dicing on the flip.(KOLOMBOOT2)HOUSE- 8/27/07-BE

ALEJANDRO VIVANCO
MADRE TIERRA (CADENZA) 12  - 106217
Chilean based Alejandro Vivanco comes over to Cadenza for a gorgeous 3 tracker of tech house on the deeper side, or more like the Cadenza side of deep house. The A-side is very moody with deep rolling basslines, warm nearly hidden pads, and all the shimmery sounds that normally make up the sound of Cadenza. Since the labels sound can sometimes be kinda broad, think of Luciano grooves with Pikaya vibes. Another hot one from one of the better labels out there for minimal house.(CADENZA18)TECH HOUSE- 8/27/07-GE

SUPERMAYER
TWO OF US (KOMPAKT) 12  - 106232
The return of the lethal combination of Superpitcher and Michael Mayer, the 2 main darlings of the Kompakt Kampf. "Two of Us" is a grumbler and a builder of a secret weapon that at first glance, youre not sure where it's going to head! From background feeback, to the clunky basslines to the build ups that end with sounds of different types of bells! Easily one of the more interesting monster tracks we've heard this summer. Right up there with the Perc & Fractal from a couple weeks ago, if you ask us... which, we guess you ARE! On the flip, Geiger takes it in a different direction. Starts off nice and happy, ends up sinister! With this remix, and his remix of Raz Ohara a few months ago, ol Geiger is playing to win these days!(KOMPAKT159)TECH HOUSE- 8/27/07-GE

SOG
SPEICHER 53 (KOMPAKT EXTRA) 12 - 106234
The faceless SOG return for another limited run on the Kompakt sublabel for the Speicher series. Loopy and somewhat tracky 2 tracker that lies somewhere around the old Freiland records catagory. Studio 1, Profan, Auftrieb... these labels ringin any bells? Well, if you were into the loopy moments of those labels, you will be open arms for this one right here.(KOMEX53)- 0/00/00-

RED JACKSON
COMING CLEAN *AUDIOJACK* (AUDIOTHERAPY) 12  - 106283
Produced by Red Jackson and Dylan Rhymes, "Coming Clean" was originally slated to appear as part of Dylan Rhymes album but it just didn't turn out that way. Lexicon Avenue wound up remixing the track and using it for their "Therapy Sessions Volume 3" cd and the buzz got going on this cut. Finally getting the release it deserves, this wicked track now comes correct with two remixes from Audiojack, fresh from their much lauded remix work on "Idiots" for Lot 49 and Erotic Discorse on 20:20 Vision. Their mixes are unrelenting tech house workouts. Solaris Heights turn in a much deeper electronic journey full of Ame styled grooves and beautiful melodies.(AT039)HOUSE- 8/27/07-UK

Slammin funky house action from house bad boy Tom Novy who teams up with Jean Claude Ades for "Slap That Bitch". MISS FITZ / PETER GRUMMICH
THE ISLAND OF LOST CHILDREN (CIRCUS COMPANY) 12  - 106221
Sick new 3 tracker from Circus Company from 3 new signings to the label. 1st up is Berlin based Miss Fitz who brings her maturing house sounds front and center giving us something slightly more organic feeling than we are used to out of her. Next up is Peter Grummich with a gritty and techy number with a deeeep rolling bassline that should stand out VERY nice on a large system. Amsterdam based Lauhaus & Labeij (aka Polder) with a playful and shuffly lil jammie thats sure to get some shift going on the dancefloor.(CCS020)MINIMAL HOUSE- 8/27/07-GE

RILEY REINHOLD
LIGHTS IN MY EYES *EULBERG* (MY BEST FRIEND LTD) 12  - 106236
Collection of remixes here for Riley "Triple R" Reinhold's "Lights in my Eyes". First up is Mr Asskicker himself, Dominik Eulberg. This is classic Eulberg here, with dark and heavy beats and a beautiful synth wash making the darkest sounds in the record feel pretty. Quite a good cool down track from a particularly angry set. On the flip, Patrice Baumel takes things in a more techy region on a more hypno kind of vibe. Choice stuff for fans of the MBF label.(MBFLTD014)TECH HOUSE- 8/27/07-GE

LOVE IS EVERYWHERE (MINISTRY OF SOUND GERMANY) 12  - 106173
One of dance music's true innovators, Westbam returns with this anthem in the making. HARDFLOOR
THE LIFE WE CHOOSE 2/3 (HARDFLOOR) 12  - 106200
More twisted acid house business from the masters of the sound, Hardfloor. 'Who You Gonna Call' is on the deeper and funkier side of the spectrum with great 303 action, driving beats and great touches of effects on the moody melodies. 'The Life We Choose' sounds like a mixture of Hardfloor's patent acid sound and the Future Sound Of London's dreamy electronica all wrapped up in one futuristic electro breaks killer. Rounding off this second of three eps is 'Itz OK', a dark and demented cut with a pitched male vocal and dirty driving techno force.(HFLP02.2)ACID HOUSE- 8/27/07-GE
MIKAEL JONASSON
TWENTY SE7EN (AUDIOMATIQUE) 12  - 106215
Fresh new sound for Swedish based Mikael Jonasson. While he normally goes on the harder side of things, this one for Audiomatique fits perfectly for the label. Minimal, but not too minimal, this one grooves tight with lots of nice FX tricks and all the other trimmings that make a proper dancefloor burner. On the flip, things get dirtier but not faster. Think maybe Nathan Fake meets Steve Bug and youre close.(AM024)TECH HOUSE- 8/27/07-GE

SPECIAL K DANCE ORCHESTRA
HOTSHORTS (HAIRY CLAW) 12  - 106222

New mental madness from the Bpitch Control label. This time it's from Arwid (aka Christian Quast) delivering the goods. The A-side is on the deeper side for the late night hours. On the B, things are a bit more pumpin, but more in a Hello Repeat/Mobilee sort of way.(BPITCH155)MINIMAL TECHNO- 8/27/07-GE

LAWRENCE
POND (DIAL) 12  - 106230
Lawrence with an obvious nod to old school Chicago deep house ala Larry Heard/Glenn Underground, but still maintaining his usual German techy fare. Nice stuff, indeed!(DIAL037)TECH HOUSE- 8/27/07-GE

PIEMONT
SYMPATHETIC (MY BEST FRIEND) 12  - 106239
More dark and surely ill techy bizness from Piemont on the My Best Friend label out of Germany. What starts out as a playful tech house number turns wild and angry after the first breakdown. On the flip, things stay playful and bouncey with nice lil twists and turns along the way.(MBF12034)HOUSE- 8/27/07-GE

FENGLER MARCEL
PLAYGROUND / EARLY GLOW (OSTGUT TON) 12  - 106240
Berghain resident DJ Marcel Fengler delivers his debut as a producer to the Ostgut Ton label. And if youve ever been to the club itself, you know that this is precisely the sound of the Berlin mecca. Dark and loud and cavernous. The A-side starts with a simple groove and builds and builds to a faded soft breakdown and fades up again to completely LEVEL any floor its played on. For the B-side, things get softer but just as dark. Think old Baby Ford or Minimal Man's "Treatment Feel" for a close comparisson.(OSTGUT09)HOUSE- 8/27/07-GE

ORTEGA & STAVOSTRAND
JOIN THE O & S FUNK REVOLUTION (RRYGULAR) 12  - 106241

ERROR ERROR
END OF THE DAY EP (SENDER) 12  - 106242
ERROR ERROR (Denis Karimani + Pelle Buys) team up again. This time it's for a genre favorite, Sender Records. Lots of post industrial sounds, mixed with modern minimal tech house sensibilities. Some cuts a bit darker than others, like the closer "Gompac" which centers around a dark bassline and very dubby claps. Kinda feels like the old Random XS "Give Your Body" off of DJAX from the mid 90's.(SENDER069)MINIMAL TECHNO- 8/27/07-GE

DOC DA FUNK
REAL LOVE *GAUDINO* (BOSS) 12  - 106274
Big crossover club vocal track on the Data / Ministry Of Sound tip with a massive remix from current man of the moment Alex Gaudino who takes the track deeper underground with his mix, sweaty, dark and driving using the full vocal perfectly.(BOS071)HOUSE- 8/27/07-UK

TENSNAKE
FRIED EGG (RADIUS) 12  - 105297
The EP opens the dance with 'Hanselstadt', a funked up space disco opera breathing pure romantic eroticism. 'Seconds of Gwernd' could very well be a disco take on the 2008 Blade Runner soundtrack, with its fat bassline, spacy lead sounds culminating into a robotic orgy of dancing riffs and layers of deep strings. Slowing down the pace, 'Show Me' gets us all nostalgic about this groovy vintage early 80's sound. A future classic with a touch of pop, a pinch of 80's funk and some  italo disco spices. This one goes way deep! 'White Dog' could be described as afterhours disco.(RAD014)ELECTRO DISCO- 8/23/07-BE

MINDLESS BOOGIE
WARRIOR DISCO (MINDLESS BOOGIE) 12  - 105243
Mindless Boogie returns with another bomb after really wowing us with their Dolly Parton edit, the crew take the theme from the movie "The Warriors" and edit it into a futuristic space disco delight. Brilliant. On the flip Axel Bauer, with an adjusted and a bit speeded up version of "Cargo De Nuit". Rounding off the ep is Yello co founder's Carlos Peron's "The Black Widow" getting a dark electro disco makeover.(MINDLESS07)EDIT- 8/06/07-UK

LAURENT GARNIER /BUGGE WESSELT
PUBLIC OUTBURST *DP* (F COMMUNICATIONS) DP  - 105514
Laurent Garnier has always refused to stand still musically  He cannot stand repetition and hates compromises and idleness even more. 'Public Outburst' is now a perfect piece of music to illuminate this ideology. Drum & bass, booty bass electro, abstract futuristic techno jazz and smoldering deep jazzy house are all touched on by these 6 tracks created live during a 6 month period of jam sessions. An incredible listen as well as a few burners for the floor. FULL STOCKS!!(2670261012)ELECTRONICA- 7/16/07-BE

SAMUEL JEFF
FIRE *VONSTROKE* (POKER FLAT) 12  - 105061
Fans of Jeff Samuel should be pretty pleased here. Jeff has hit on something BIG in what will undoubtedly be one of the biggest tracks of the summer, and possibly his breakout hit! "Fire" has an acidic groove that builds and builds over a period of 3 buildups that will easily get the floor JUMPING aand going absolutely berzerk! Throw in a couple of rock solid remixs from Claude VonStroke and St Sebastian and youve got yourself one hell of a Poker Flat record!(PFR86)HOUSE- 6/25/07-GE

ELASTE 2 (COMPOST) 12  - 105662
Tasty teaser from the upcoming "Elaste 2" album. This 12" features two tracks "Accretions" and "My Spine Is The Bassline" from legendary UK new wave/funk outfit Shriekback which was founded 1982 by former XTC and Gang Of Four member Dave Allen. "Accretions" is a super rare and much sought after tune and has been likened to A Certain Ratio meets Human League in Heaven 17. "My Spine Is The Bassline" is another classic cool tune originally released on 7" and has a groove Talking Heads vibe. BACK IN!!(COMP259)PUNK/FUNK/DISCO- 7/23/07-GE

MINILOGUE
SPACE (TRAUM) 12  - 105988
Minilogue have been quite busy lately! This new one for Traum is a big one! Not as trancey as Inca or Ogular were, which some might think is a pretty good thing. Whatever your feelings on that subject are, Space is hard to deny. A full fledged, well composed monster of a track. Lots of quick ups and downs and a shuffle thats hard not to nod your head to. On the flip, Star Command gets deeper and pretty with a hint of acid buried underneath. Nice and trippy, too. Just the way we like it!(TRAUMV89)TECH HOUSE- 8/06/07-GE

AGNES
LOW DOWN CYCLE*SOMEONE ELSE* (RESOPAL RED) 12  - 105992
Insane remix package brought to you by the folks at Resopal who've recruited the likes of Someone Else, Ion Ludwig and Quarion to each have a turn at reworking an Agnes track, with spectacular results! Someone Else turns 'Low Down Cycle' into a pumping minimal tech smasher that'll test the integrity of your woofers for sure. IOn Ludwig then follows with his own wonky, minimal techno interpretation that'll make you smile {and dance}. Finally Quarion have a go at 'Things Recur' resulting in a hypnotic deep house/techno trip.(RSPRED012)MINIMAL HOUSE- 8/06/07-UK

SUNDAY 7 / FADE TO GRASS (CURLE) 12  - 106177
Two new signings to Curle join the likes of Reynold, Sarah Goldfarb and Dub Kult. "Sunday 7" from Nico is a deep and dirty techy number with a funked up analog bassline that gets heavily effected while tripped out electronic bits and simple effective shuffling beats push this one along nicely. Definitely one for the Troy Pierce / Hawtin fans. On the flip "Fade To Grass" from Liebe Detail is a shaking minimal bumper more on the techno side of the funky spectrum.(CURLE007)HOUSE- 8/27/07-BE

DASH DUDE
TELL EM IN THE CITY (MORRIS AUDIO CITYSPORT) 12  - 106202
Morris Audio regular, Dash Dude brings the deepness on "Tell Em In The City" which has a beautiful soulful house vibe that sounds like a mixture of Lo Soul and early Alexi Delano material on Seasons. It has a perfect little vocal hook backed by gorgeous deep chords, quirky and beautifully melodic synths on the "Beau Mot Plage" tip. DOPE!(MACE039)HOUSE- 8/27/07-GE

ERIK & FIEDEL
DONNA (MMM) 12  - 106224
Probably one of the greatest J A M S to come out of the Hardwax/Soundhack camp... well, ever! The A-side cuts are squelchy, acidic, and basicly a complete total freakout! Both cuts are made up of parts sampled from Donna Summer's classic "Our Love (Will Last Forever)" and has been played by everyone from Laurent Garnier to DJ Hell. On the flip, a breaky-edit of James Brown stuff. If you know the record, you'll be excited to get more. If you don't, then you have been sleeping FAR too long. Absolutely essential.(MMM002)ACID HOUSE- 8/27/07-GE

Absolutely hammering remix of Kravitz' 'Are You Gonna Go My Way' by pumping house legend Olav Basoski!! The ripping guitar riffs and vocals from the original get filtered and re-tweaked with a host of old school loop drops, filthy rolling basslines and Olav's tried & tested 4/4 beats. TOKYO BLACK STAR
STILL SEQUENCE *AME* (INNERVISIONS) 12  - 105847
Alex From Tokyo serves up a rock solid 4 tracker that runs the gambit for the genre of deep house. Starts off with a super deep broken beat cut that is sure to get the floor rockin. Following that, the boys from AME do their magic and add some dark piano and a bit more nastiness. Not to mention the very Carl Craig-esque strings! On the flip, things get more bouncy with another Detroit influenced jam, followed by a very conga driven groover.(IV12)HOUSE- 7/30/07-GE

MUSE / PRODIGY
KNIGHTS OF SARDONIA/SMACK ENYA (PIRATES) 12  - 106085
The 7th part of the hugely successful underground 'Pirate Breaks' series finally provides a suitable platform from which those notorious stalwarts of the dance community "Unknown" and "Unknown" can unleash 'Knights of Cydonia' and 'Smack My Enya Up" on their numerous fans. The A Side is a bootleg of the last single by band of the moment Muse, and has been a massive crowd pleaser for "Unknown", who wanted to take a big rock tune and turn into a deep rolling breaks track. The AA side originates from Eastern Europe, and is an amalgamation of Prodigy's "Smack My Bitch Up" and Enya's never-tiresome classic "Sail Away". The combination of these two opposing tracks, juxtaposed against each other, shouldn't really workyet the bassy tones of "Smack My Bitch Up" disrupting Enya's high-pictched vocals make this an essential tune for all bootleg fans out there.(PIRATE007)BREAKBEAT- 8/20/07-UK
