GREENS KEEPERS
FINGERBLASTING (AROMA) 12 - 105446
SYNTAX EXCLUSIVE! This EP is one of
their strongest works to date and it’s kicking off in style with
'Fingerblasting'. It sounds like a modern take on the Talking heads with a
vocal you'll be singing along to in no time from Nick Mauer and disco fuelled grooves. Nick
Mauer’s voice is back on the track 'Trouble' although in a more cut-up shape
and once more this tune has an infectious quality about it that induces ass
shaking instantly. 'Stomp Your Feet" rounds off this wicked ep and reminds
us a lot of Lawnchair Generals material.(AROMA055)HOUSE- 8/06/07-BE
SAMIM
HEATER *C VONSTROKE* (GET PHYSICAL) 12
- 105576
Samim heralds the arrival of his debut
album for Get Physicawith 'Heater', easily one of the most talked about tunes
across ANY genre lately, namely THE tune with the accordion in it, caned by Sven
Vath, Richie Hawtin and just a select few others on limited promo. The
insidiously tight, bumping rhythms and far-out accordion patterns make 'Heater'
an instant club anthem, no doubt about it. Claude Vonstroke then provides a
jacking yet hypnotic re-do on the flip which adds some deep conga
rhythms, twisted jack beats and some ungodly things done to those accordions- damn
catchy!!(GPM074)ELECTRO HOUSE- 8/06/07-GE
INLAND KNIGHTS
SIDE EFFECT (RAISE) 12 - 105670
Second offering on Inland Knights new

house spectrum. You know how the Knights do it, bumping deep house funk perfect
for fans of Doc Martin, Jesse Rose, Switch, Lawnchair Generals
etc.(RAISE02)HOUSE- 8/06/07-UK
VOODOO CHILI
LOOK WHAT YOUVE DONE TO ME (DUBSIDED)
12 - 105926
Fidget house meister Herve is
a man of many pseudonyms, well known for his Count Of Monte Crystal stuff on
Counterfeet and of course his Dubsided work as Herve and now Voodoo Chili.
'Look What You've Done To Me' is all about making the girsl dance, and to this
end he kicks it off in a proper up-tempo disco ball fashio with the squelchiest
of bottom end and beats like the kind your mamma warned you about. The
psuedonym theme continues with Erol Alkan delivering a wicked remix
under his 'Mustapha 3000' guise, taking this tune so deep into the underground
that your ears will pop from the pressure!(DSD014)HOUSE- 8/06/07-UK
JAY WEST
EVERYWHERE WE DANCE (FLAVOR) 12 -
105989
Jay West has been quite the busy
beaver with smoking releases on the likes of Drop Music, Blockhead, Guesthouse
and many more fine house imprints. Here for the Flavor imprint, Jay does the
deep house business along the lines of say Da Sunlounge or Shrewd. Amenti / Aroma
talent Giom pitches in a mix on this fabulous ep as well.(FR007)HOUSE-

PRYDA
GENESIS (PRYDA LTD) 12 - 106026
The unstoppable Eric Prydz is back
with the club-crushing 'Genesis', available for a limited time only here on
the aptly-named Pryda Limited offshoot. This time out Prydz
mixes in a little 80's electro-disco vibe thru some thick string chords, deep bass
pulses and tweaky 4/4 groove, building up the energy nicely with gradually
intensified drums and synth sweeps and a killer drum/Italo bassline drop that
will have kids screaming!!(PRYLTD001)ELECTRO HOUSE- 8/06/07-UK
SOUL CENTRAL
TIME AFTER TIME *YORUBA SOUL*
(DEFECTED) 12 - 105904
The highly successful partnership of
Timmy Vegas & Andy Ward continues in fine form here with Soul Centrals next
offering, the lush "Time After Time". Gracing the mic is Abigail Bailey and providing
the remixes is the always on point Osunlade who drops both a soulful electronic
laced vocal mix and dub.(DFTD169)HOUSE- 8/06/07-UK
TALKING HEADS
PSYCHO KILLER *LEXICON AVE*
(WHITE) 12 - 106022
Lexicon Avenue have a knack of taking
old tracks and turning them into modern day club anthems. When they first
unleashed their legendary take on Depeche Modes "Only When I Lose
Myelf", Dave Gahan promtly commissioned them to remix his solo single
"Dirty Sticky Floors". This time Talking Heads classic "Psycho Killer" gets
the Lexicon Avenue treatment with devistating effect and is already causing a
stir from the handful of CD's given out. Getting early support from Satoshi
Tomiie, Deep Dish, Dave Seamen, Cass and Ben Watt to name but a
few.(PSYCHO001)HOUSE- 8/06/07-UK
GRAND HIGHT PRIEST
MIX DOWN (STRICTLY RHYTHM) 12 - 105902
Craig Loftis returns from the huge
success of his 'Mary Don't Weep' under his Grand High Priest guise with this
awesome
EP for Strictly Rhythm. "Driving tribal beats are the order of the day on
the relentless rhythms of 'Mixdown'. 'My Guitar' again has Craig's signature
crazy drum programming along with a sublime acoustic guitar and a deep spoken word
vocal.(SR12634)HOUSE- 8/06/07-UK
MARTIN SOLVEIG
REJECTION *ERICKE/CAREY* (DEFECTED) 12
- 105906
One of the obvious singles from
Martin's "Hedonist" long player is finally here in all its remix
glory. With mixes from Trickski, Ian Carey and ErickE amongst others there is
certainly plenty of choice when finding mix to suit your tastes. We're
particularly fond of the Trickski mix, a deep bumping analog fuelled gem that
perfectly works the vocals in a Hird / Luomo kind of way.(DFTD163)HOUSE-

MINDLESS BOOGIE
WARRIOR DISCO (MINDLESS BOOGIE) 12 -
105243
Mindless Boogie returns with another
bomb after really wowing us with their Dolly Parton edit, the crew take the theme from the movie
"The Warriors" and edit it into a futuristic space disco delight.
Brilliant. On the flip Axel Bauer, with an adjusted and a bit speeded up
version of "Cargo De Nuit". Rounding off the ep is Yello co founder's
Carlos Peron's "The Black Widow" getting a dark electro disco
makeover.(MINDLESS07)EDIT- 8/06/07-UK
DAFT PUNK
LIVE MIXES 2007 (PROMO) 12 - 105810
Did someone hack into the Daft's
notebook to grab these two exclusive cuts from their live shows?? This is as
close as you can get to experiencing a Daft Punk show without actually being
there! The a-side is a mash-up of 'Around The World' and 'Television' that the
boys have been dropping on tour while the flip is a wicked new version of 'Prime Time Of Your
Life'.(DPX1)ELECTRO HOUSE- 8/06/07-UK
LISA MILLET
DONT BRING ME DOWN *COPYRIGHT*
(DEFECTED) 12 - 105903
Lisa Millet returns with this vocally
led slice of soulful house. The powerful delivery is ever present, but it's not
just a set of killer vocals here, lyrically this is bounds ahead of the
standard shelf filling 'Diva' cuts around at present and the production is a
peaktime initiation courtesy of Copyright.(DFTD162)HOUSE- 8/06/07-UK
SKWERL
ALL WOMAN *S RIVERA/KARIZMA* (DEFECTED)
12 - 105905
Skwerl aka Michael Beim hails from the
Sonar Kollektiv stable outta Germany. This track is a deep, slightly trippy track with an
awesome
half spoken, half sung vocal. Definitely a Paperclip People vibe on the
original. Remixes come from Sandy Rivera who adds some great rising
synths to add to the tension. Karizma's dub adds a great swingin old school
jacking vibe to the sauce with wicked new beats and retro synth
grooves.(DFTD153)HOUSE- 8/06/07-UK
BOYS NOIZE
DOWN (BOYS NOIZE) 12 - 105972
Yup! They just dont quit! Boys Noize
return to push the boundries every possible direction! This one is a rocker,
folks! First off is an extended version of "Down", which will be
fatured in an edited form on their full length due out in a couple weeks. After
that is an exclusive track "Wisconson 95", followed by a remix of
"Down" by TEENAGE BAD GIRL. Nice full package for those who are a fan

is going to be huge and is probably going to push Boys Noize into the spotlight
for even longer!(BNR017)ELECTRO HOUSE- 8/06/07-GE
STYLE OF EYE
THE WHIZKIDD *JACOB LONDON*
(BUMP) 12 - 105990
Dirty jacking Chicago
dancefloor funk from Style Of Eye. "The Whizkidd" features a Derrick
Carter flavored off kilter vocoded vocal riding over a jacking swinging groove
that also has Mr Carter and quite possibly Tony Senghore written all over it.
Jacob London chimes in with a remix, a deeper mix that has a wicked Basement Jaxx quality
about it.(BUMP03)HOUSE- 8/06/07-UK
PRYDA
IRONMAN/MADDERFERRYS (PRYDA) 12 -
105771
Eric Prydz releases an absolute
nuclear weapon of a release for the 8th Pryda installment, once again
pushing the envelope of the electro club sound WAY past what everyone else is
doing at the moment. 'Ironman' is a dark, smoke-filled room builder with
an almost 'French Kiss' sense of percussion and slow-building anticipation as
the sounds gradual intensify before the main break unleashes some SEVERE
electro-disco devastation. Imagine Eric and Serge Santiago joining forces and
you get the gist of it! The AA side 'Madderferrys' has been a mainstay in
Eric's sets for a while with its melodic building feel and cool synth work enveloped in
Eric's deep atmospheric swirling sounds.(PRY008)ELECTRO HOUSE- 7/30/07-UK

12 - 105659
A perfect NY disco affair from the
Elitechnique guys available here as an ultra-limited release on Clone's X
series including a remix by Prins Thomas under his 'Major Swellings' guise. His
mix turns the track into a more club orientated mix which will rock any summer party! On the
flip The uptempo Motorfunker is a raw percussion-driven track with a wicked
bassline- think ESG or Liquid Liquid material with an updated twist and
non-stop disco groove. Last track is the slower and smoother Vesta Vision,
combining smooth disco and balaeric floating synths, cosmic vocals and rolling
bass.(CX025)ELECTRO DISCO- 8/02/07-NL
JOSH WINK
HIGHER STATE OF CONSCIOUSNESS (STRICTLY R) 12 - 105765
The return of the titan that is Josh
Wink. 'Higher State Of Consciousness' readies itself to deploy its now legendary riff to a
whole new set of ears. It was a tough call to get the remixers right on such a
complete record that has more than stood the test of time, but
Australia's Dirty South Vs TV Rock embrace the twisted elements of this timeless original
breakbeat anthem, delivering an update that has fast become the big record
in the boxes of all the key spinners. Also featuring remixes from Marco V and

HEAVYWEIGHT EP (DIRTYBIRD) 12 - 105304
This release has been 100% battle

cuts just rocked this year’s Detroit Electronic Music Festival to capacity
crowds! Tanner Ross and KiloWatts come to us from Boston with their jam 'Kruger Fingers' sounding like a cross
between Matthew Dear and Honey Dijon. Rolling funky bass lines with a wicked
popping techno synth make this tune able to stand out in both house AND techno

Fex and a host of others. These two French producers unleash an energetic
electro grinder entitled 'Breathe' which swings back and forth between solid
analogue riffs and gated fx, emotive chord sections and driving beats. Jan

SHACKLETON
NEXT TO NOTHING (CROSSTOWN REBELS) 12
- 105969
On his latest single for Crosstown
Rebels, dubstep pioneer Sam Shackleton pays tribute to his teenage heroes, LA
industrial band Savage Republic with a cover of their track 'Next To Nothing',
which gets a complete remake including having Savage Republic's frontman
Jackson Del Rey to come back in on vocal duties. Shackleton's homage opens
with toxic sounding bass and Blade Runner-esque sounds over Del Rey's cold
vocal delivery before the full beats finally kick in and the darkness and bass
truly take over. Montreal's Guillame and The Cotu Dumont leave the vox alone for the most
part on their mix, a dance floor-friendly remix thats less dark than the
original, very much in the Villalobos-vein of things.(CRM040)MINIMAL HOUSE-

"The Cat" in its original form mixes up italo synth riffs with 80's
nu wave and a healthy dose of acid too, pretty crazy shit. The
"Crookers" mix of "The Cat" is definitely a tribute to
Switch, with jerky fidget action, an off the wall new bassline and quirky synth
action. "The Kitten" is a mental acid freak out for those prime time drugged out
where the fuck am i and how'd i get here moments. There is another mix of this which takes a deeper Detroit meets minimal Berlin route.

Strong release from Eltron here. It

in strange ways, along with shuffly drums to keep the spunk up. On the flip are
2 originals from Eltron. The first one is a jumpy and funky number that should
please those into the Boys Noize or Tiefschwarz thing, but like it to be toned
down a tad. The closer is the original of the remix on the A-side. Shuffly and
techy drums but at house tempo. Some nice strings that make an appearence here and there

105610
BIG BUZZ on this band and this release
is pressed on LIMITED EDITION GLOW IN THE DARK VINYL. From the opening bars of
"Leave the Lights On", it hits you. The Cobra Dukes are no ordinary
band. Ghostly synthesisers and bubbling moog lines weave through the drums like
lost tape loops from Cat People or Midnight Express. Kyle Gibson's dramatic
vocal hooks rebound off the rhythms like a Psycho Killer-era David Byrne
shouting down CBGBs before the guitar riff takes hold and teleports the song
into new wave delirium. Remixes come from Knighlife and Pitch & hold (Love Triangle)
aka Fredo & Thang. Melbourne's Knightlife (signed to Cut Copy’s label Cutters)
deliver the kind of beat heavy synth workout that would make Daft Punk proud
while Ghent’s Culture Clubbers Fredo & Thang take the Dukes on a journey that’s
part Switch, part acid-house and 100% dancefloor delight. But why take my word

Fresh Fried is a brand new project
consisting of producers Chris Wood, Nedzad Berovic and Frank Leicher, bringing
a funky minimal techno flavour over to Pascal FEOS' Level Non Zero imprint. The
lead track '50 Ways' practically DRIPS funk from every pore, from its tweaky
bass synth riffs to its playful jacking percussion and bleepy synth action.
Likewise 'On My Mind' goes down a similiar bass-fueled road while 'On MY Mind'
