TROYDON
SHORT CIRCUIT *DECOSTA/J HEATH (PHONOSHUFFLE) 12- 104723
After a monstrous debut, Phonoshuffle returns strong with another fine offering from head honcho Troydon. "I'm With Ya" kicks things off in fine fashion with grinding beats, quirky samples, and the bassline from Curtis Mayfield's "If There's A Hell Below". Very Switch styled! Joshua Heath reworks this on the flip giving it a deeper more Inland Knights feel with a fat new live sounding bassline, warm stabs and clever use of some of the original melody. Troydon teams up with Decosta for "New York Minute", another sweet Drop Music flavored house gem with slick jazzy keys, warm chords and bouncy bassline. Troydon is on fire(PSHUF102)HOUSE- 7/02/07-BE

MATTHIAS HEILBRONN
THE JUNGLE DUB (POKER FLAT WHITE) 12- 105253
Matty Heilbronn is onto something here! Both sides of this instant classic are absolutely wicked! the A-side of this is a classic example of party rockin house music! All of it takes influence from an old chicago tune I think youll all be able to recognize. The flip gets even more bouncey with a dub version that takes influence from Computer Madness.(PFRWHITE02)HOUSE- 7/02/07-GE

TRENTEMOLLER & BUDA
GAMMA *MINILOGUE* (KICKIN) 12- 105203
Second essential Trentemoller offering on the Kickin imprint. "Gamma" in its original form is very Orb meets Future Sound Of London circa 1995, deep atmospheric and stunningly beautiful. Minilogue takes the melodies and injects them with MASSIVE dancefloor beats that sound much like Trentemollers productions, dark driving and irresistable. LIMITED STOCK ON THIS AS WE WERE SHORTED ON OUR QUANTITY!(KICK155X)HOUSE- 7/02/07-UK

PEACE DIVISION
SOFT HEAVY (CROSSTOWN REBELS) 12- 105162
Clive Henry and Justin Drake swing their mighty Peace Division project into more minimal audio territory here on this Crosstown Rebels release. They deliver 3 dubbed out minimal groovers here that are already making waves from Bristol to Berlin. 'Pulses' oozes Basic Channel sensibilities with dubby echoes, occasional vocal snippets and crisp electronic grooves that while minimal leave no doubt that this is a Peace Division track! 'Voodoo' and 'No Junk No Soul' keep the smoked-out, micro house vibe well in there, each clocking in at over 7 minutes of pure dubbed-out power.(CRM038)TECH HOUSE- 7/02/07-UK

JUNIOR JACK
LIFE / ROCKTRON (PIAS) 12- 105172
Junior Jack has the knack for hit productions and here drops another suck. 25 years ago Juan Atkins and Rik Davis created one of the first electronic classics of the Eighties: 'Clear'. It has influenced the electro, techno and house scenes throughout the world. UFFIE
FIRST LOVE / BRAND NEW CAR (ED BANGERS) 12- 104570
Uffie returns to display that she's got more skills than an 80's pop star like Tiffany or Debbie Gibson. Actually if you took either one of those 80's icons and injected them with crack and a healthy dose of French Nu Rave (thanks to production by Mr Oizo) you have an idea of what "First Love" feels like. "Brand New Car" has a more booty / ghetto feel with more of that jerky, abrasive and quite catchy nu rave production quality.(ED018)PUNK/FUNK/DISCO- 7/02/07-FR

LIFELIKE
SO ELECTRIC / DISCOMACHINE (DIFFERENT) 12- 105173
Monstrous follow up to his "Discopolis" hit for Defected, Lifelike's "So Electric" sounds a lot like, and as enormous as Eric Prydz "Call On Me" and will likely be as big a hit with infectious layered synth arpeggios, beefy bass that follows the synth lines and cracking beats. "Discomachine" on the flip goes deeper and has a Moroder-esque vibe about it similar to "Discopolis".(4511078130)HOUSE- 7/02/07-BE

MASSIVE RELEASE on the Tiger imprint {Delano & Crockett/KIng Amir/Erick E etc} who unleash an unstoppable 'Electro Express'!! The track opens with the sound of a diesel locomotive hitting its horn at full tilt, giving you a hint of the mayhem to come. SVD's massive electro house hit 'By Any Demand' comes back with THE best mix yet, a scorcher from Peter Gelderblom thats turning up in the crates of the world's A-list jocks right now. Gelderblom restructures the original with wicked chunkified percussion, surgical drum edits and some amazing filter action. KRAMER
RUNNER (GET PHYSICAL) 12- 105237
Better known as Larsson, this acclaimed Berlin-based producer has released on both Traum and Bpitch Control before hooking up with the Get Physical crew on this wicked 3 track release. The A1 cut 'Runner' begins with a warm, rounded kick and busy clicking percussion before an urgent snare sound drops in and aim the track squarely at the dancefloor. Likewise the A2 'Sonne Ist Da' which blends smooth sounds with crisp electro grooves. Finally 'El Pueblo De Bailar' is an 11 minute epic with a hypnotic conga-led groove.(GPM072)ELECTRO HOUSE- 7/02/07-GE

COBBLESTONE JAZZ
LIME IN DA COCONUT (WAGON REPAIR) 12- 105065
2 tracker here from Cobblestone Jazz, which is supposed to be a precursor to the LP coming out later this summer. Mathew Jonson and his crew never dissapoint with this project. Last years "Dump Truck" and "India In Me" still get lots of re-orders from us, as well as tons of play in the clubs. These 2 cuts are the more housey side, jackin and jumpin. Certainly expected to be part of the soundtrack of the summer for guys like Ricardo Villalobos, Josh Wink, or Luciano.(WAG029)MINIMAL TECHNO- 6/25/07-GE

DETROIT GRAND PUBAHS
BIRTH IN ZERO GRAVITY (DETELEFUNK) 12- 105138
Detroit Grand Pubah's follow up their recent smash, "Skydive From Venus" on Detelefunk with a stunning string drenched number reminiscent of Underground Resistance. DJ FUDGE
TOPAZ (TEJAL) 12- 105155
Dj Fudge returns to his Tejal imprint with a killer deep house anthem in the form of "Topaz". The main mix has a super deep and sexy Ame meets Dj Gregory vibe with captivating synth riffs, trippy sounds, pads & effects and pushing deep beats. This cut has gotten early support from Ferrer, Dj Spinna and Chandler. "Grand Via" is another wicked deep house burner with more live instrumenation, fat bass and Roy Ayers meets MAW vibe.(TEJAL003)HOUSE- 7/02/07-FR

LUCIANO
FOURGES ET SABRES (PERLON) 12- 105159
Brilliant release by microhouse master Luciano on the mighty Perlon label, presenting us with two tracks of crisp dancefloor minimalism. 'Fourges Et Sabres' is Luciano's first release on Perlon since his 2004 collaboration with Matthew Jonson. Hollow flowing bass works an almost Aphex Twin-like vibe to go with Luciano's deep minimal drum grooves. 'Back To Front' is a grittier, trippier affair highlighted by heavily processed vocals and clicky, crunchy drums.(PERL62)MINIMAL HOUSE- 7/02/07-GE

DJ SPINNA FT TRICIA ANGUS
LIVING MY LIFE *THE REALM* (PAPA) 12- 105170
The inimitable Dj Spinna returns with vocalist Tricia Angus and drops a stunning production that features soulful keys from Selan Lerner (longtime collaborator with Masters At Work and Spinna) on rhodes & Moog, deep jacking beats, a gorgeous vocal chorus. ANTHONY NICHOLSON
ALL OVER / AHH SABU (NEED2SOUL) 12- 105171
We're always excited when we see a new production from Anthony Nicholson as he nevr disappoints. Here he delivers two pristine tracks starting with "All Over", a warm soulful house journey of meditative xylophone, deep percussion, layers of ass shaking space funk electronica and traces of house, techno and disco fusion. This reminds us a lot of a Ron Trent production. On the flip "Ahh Sabu" has a more afro influence with slick percussive beats, warm chords, gorgeous strings and a perfect little vocal hook.(N2S004)HOUSE- 7/02/07-UK

D CLASSICS
V/A *MOON VEHICLE/SAUTERELLES* (D CLASSICS) 12- 105106
More obscure twisted edits from the D Classics camp. On the a you'll find the highly sought after and way hard to find electro rock / kraut version of Chicago house pioneer Juan Atkins "Cosmic Car". This cover version from the mid 80's is one of those secret squirrel tracks that never quite crossed over but always rocks the spot. FRANKIE
HAIR DRESSING STORY EP (FRANKIE) 12- 105246
Frankie is just on a ROLL these days! The past releases have been absolutely stellar and this one is totally fucked! Pushy tech house jams that all seem to have this manic energy that comes in and melts your mind! This truly is some peak hour acidic business, with that Frankie sound substituting for a 303.(FRANKIE022)MINIMAL TECHNO- 7/02/07-GE

CARL FINLOW
SWOON EP (GREEN LIGHT RECORDINGS) 12- 105247
Carl Finlow goes under so many different names that its hard to stay up on all of them. For this 1st outing on new label Green Light Records, he goes by his birth name and gives us classic detroitish techno that we dont hear all that much anymore. Fans of Dan Curtin will be loving this one!(GLR001)TECHNO- 7/02/07-GE

UMEK
PRINT THIS STORY (MANUAL) 12- 105261
Umek is normally known for his harder techno productions. For years, this guy has been tearing it up making some of the best ever! This is a slight departure from that with deeper lush grooves that sort of has that whole neo-trance feel to it, but what it more comes down to is melodic techno. Certainly a good crossover for Umek here.(MANUAL010)MINIMAL TECHNO- 7/02/07-GE

SASCHA DIVE
DOWN *ARGY* (RAUM MUSIK) 12- 105267
WHITE HOT!!! Newcomer Sascha Dive comes absolutely CORRECT for some organic house on the deep side with lots of digital FX for an old school meets new school sort of vibe. Think Mike Huckaby meets John Tejada's more recent stuff and youre pretty much there. And if thats not enough, flip it over for an absolutely MENTAL remix done by Argy. Acidic and scary while still maintaining the tesxtures of the original. This one is right up there with his productions when he exploded on the scene a couple years ago. Sick!(RAUM059)HOUSE- 7/02/07-GE

DOMINIK EULBERG *2000 AND ONE*
GRUENSCHENKEL RMX *SUPERFLU* (TRAUM SCHALLPLATTEN) 12- 105270
Heres a couple remixes of one of our faves for minimal tech house stuff, Dominik Eulberg. First up, 2000 & One gives us a creepy retake on the original, keeping all the bells that make the better part of the molody of the original, then reconstructing the bells to a throwback to old Chicago type house. On the flip, Superflu make it SCARY! Think of the middle of one of Richie Hawtins 7+ hour mindmelting sets. This would be one of those extremely dirty and cold moments that scare you so bad you have no choice but to dance to it. Highly reccomended!(TRAUMV88)MINIMAL TECHNO- 7/02/07-GE

JEFF SAMUEL
FIRE *VONSTROKE* (POKER FLAT) 12- 105061
Fans of Jeff Samuel should be pretty pleased here. Jeff has hit on something BIG in what will undoubtedly be one of the biggest tracks of the summer, and possibly his breakout hit! "Fire" has an acidic groove that builds and builds over a period of 3 buildups that will easily get the floor JUMPING aand going absolutely berzerk! Throw in a couple of rock solid remixs from Claude VonStroke and St Sebastian and youve got yourself one hell of a Poker Flat record!(PFR86)HOUSE- 6/25/07-GE

COMPOST BLACK LABEL VOL 21

Second "Black" label release on Compost for Zurich's Minus 8. "Night Digger" is a pushing funky electronic house number with great techy edges built around a pizzicato string plucking similar to Fairmont's "Gazebo" on Border Community. Very cool. Also included on this ep is "Rapture" a deeper than deep RZ styled acid house number.(COMP257)ACID HOUSE- 7/02/07-GE
