TROYDON
SHORT CIRCUIT *DECOSTA/J
HEATH (PHONOSHUFFLE) 12- 104723
After a monstrous debut,
Phonoshuffle returns strong with another fine offering from head honcho
Troydon. "I'm With Ya" kicks things off in fine fashion with grinding
beats, quirky samples, and the bassline from Curtis Mayfield's "If There's
A Hell Below". Very Switch styled! Joshua Heath reworks this on the flip
giving it a deeper more Inland Knights feel with a fat new live sounding
bassline, warm stabs and clever use of some of the original melody. Troydon
teams up with Decosta for "New York Minute", another sweet Drop Music
flavored house gem with slick jazzy keys, warm chords and bouncy bassline.

Matty Heilbronn is onto something here! Both sides
of this instant classic are absolutely wicked! the A-side of this is a classic
example of party rockin house music! All of it takes influence from an old chicago tune I think youll all be able to
recognize. The flip gets even more bouncey with a dub version that takes
influence from Computer Madness.(PFRWHITE02)HOUSE- 7/02/07-GE

Second essential Trentemoller offering

Future Sound Of London circa 1995, deep atmospheric and stunningly beautiful.
Minilogue takes the melodies and injects them with MASSIVE dancefloor beats
that sound much like Trentemollers productions, dark driving and irresistable.

PEACE DIVISION
SOFT HEAVY (CROSSTOWN
REBELS) 12- 105162
Clive Henry and Justin Drake
swing their mighty Peace Division project into more minimal audio territory
here on this Crosstown Rebels release. They deliver 3 dubbed out minimal
groovers here that are already making waves from Bristol to Berlin. 'Pulses' oozes Basic Channel
sensibilities with dubby echoes, occasional vocal snippets and crisp electronic
grooves that while minimal leave no doubt that this is a Peace Division track!
'Voodoo' and 'No Junk No Soul' keep the smoked-out, micro house vibe well in
there, each clocking in at over 7 minutes of pure dubbed-out power.(CRM038)TECH

JUNIOR JACK
LIFE / ROCKTRON (PIAS) 12-

Junior Jack has the knack for
hit productions and here drops another suck. "Rocktron" features a
heavy handed rock influenced guitar hook that leads into a typically hand
raising epic production with fat bass, entrancing pads and big, big room beats.
"Life" on the flip is a stark contrast to the A, having a Daft Punk
vibe with vocoded vocal part, falling synth riffs that lock you in, raise your
hands and shake your ass.(9410207130)HOUSE- 7/02/07-BE

to the original but recreate it with new vocals resulting in yet another

(ED BANGERS) 12- 104570
Uffie returns to display that
she's got more skills than an 80's pop star like Tiffany or Debbie Gibson.
Actually if you took either one of those 80's icons and injected them with
crack and a healthy dose of French Nu Rave (thanks to production by Mr Oizo)
you have an idea of what "First Love" feels like. "Brand New
Car" has a more booty / ghetto feel with more of that jerky, abrasive and
quite catchy nu rave production quality.(ED018)PUNK/FUNK/DISCO- 7/02/07-FR

LUNA SLUSNIK
BAAS (AVA) 12- 105161
The 4th outing on Andy Moor's
respected AVA label comes from the well know trance group Slusnik Luna with
their new single 'Baas' having garnered early support from Tiesto, Above &
Beyond and Orkidea, to name but a few. Opening with a techy percussive rhythm,
'Baas' builds thru a series of sweeps, bass stabs and sliding edits into an
epic big room affair with rampant main synth patterns and ice-cold strings. The
flipside mix by Algarve ratchets up the beats so that they
hit you square in the chest, with grinding bass and restructured synth lines to
match.(AVA004)TRANCE- 7/02/07-UK
