JESSE ROSE
ITCHY DOG (DUBSIDED) 12 - 103684
HUGE RELEASE on Dubsided!! The red-hot Jesse Rose is up to his old tricks as he beings you a bucketload of funk spread across this 3 tracker. 'Itchy Dog' is a tracky, loopy slice of fidget action punctuated by occasional bhangra samples, twisted bassline pressure and a jackin' Chicago swing that will have the Heather/Justin Long fans all in a lather. The flipside cuts are both stellar as well, with both 'Everyday This' and 'Second Letter First' offering up some techy, filthy and dirty grooves.(DSD012)HOUSE- 4/30/07-UK
WINK
THICK AS THEIVES (POKER FLAT) 12 - 103753
Josh Wink here with a new 2 tracker for Steve Bug's Poker Flat label. The A-side is a classic Wink mindbender. Gritty and dirty with plenty of dubbed out FX with nice editing done here and there. Also, plenty of Wink's tricks going on too. Slowing the acid line down as well as building up and dropping the sounds off a cliff. All true Wink trademarks. On the flip, wink does a straight up classic acid house jam with a 303 line that will rock any soundsystem.(PFR84)ACID HOUSE- 4/30/07-GE
PRYDA
RYMD (PRYDA) 12 - 103816
MASSIVE RELEASE from Eric Prydz following the huge success of his Pryda vs Pink Floyd- Proper Education. With the release of 'RYMD' Eric kicks it up a notch further, delivering two wicked club thumpers. The title track starts with a cool drum intro in to a big kickdrum drop, cool synths and fat punchy basslines until an intense siren sound powers up and smashes everything around it! Road tested by John Digweed and Nic Fanciulli where its gotten amazing reactions everywhere. The flipside track 'Armed' has a more relaxed vibe which Digweed has been opening his recent sets with, bursting with swirling chords and a fat bassline groove.(PRY007)ELECTRO HOUSE- 4/30/07-GE
ROCK SOLID ALLSTARS
WHAT GOD HAS CHOSEN *JIMPSTER* (DEFECTED) 12 - 103689
The light has finally shone on this spoken word treat after laying in the vaults at Defected for nearly 3 years. Based on a Mary J Blige single this heavyweight club track is a major refreshment from the overblown bellowing preacher tracks that are no longer hitting the mark. Freerange head honcho delivers ALL four of the mixes on this platter. Each is as stunning as the next with the main mix doing it nicely for the likes of Little Louie Vega, David Morales and Rodamaal.(DFTD154)HOUSE- 4/30/07-UK
LINDSTROM & SOLALE
LETS PRACTISE (FEEDELITY) 12 - 102434
Lindstrom & Solale first cooperated in 2003 with "Music (In My Mind), the debut kicker on Feedelity. They've joined forces again and are putting the finishing touches on a full length and this is the teaser for that album. "Let's Practise" is a burning slow sexy italo disco stomper with fat arpeggio bass and some simple infectious guitar & keys spicing up the sexy grooves nicely. There's just a hint of a vocal in there as well to pick up the energy in all the right places. On the flip is a mysterious dub from an unknown source, if we had to bet we'd say it's either Todd Terje or Brennan Green. Way cool gear as always on Feedelity.. Check the artwork too, it's trippy and also very cool shit.(FEED009)DISCO- 4/30/07-FR
HENRIK SCHWARZ
WALK MUSIC (MOOD MUSIC) 12 - 103752
Henrik Schwarz has been the man for quite some time now. Wowing techno freaks and house heads alike always with his deep crossover sound. This particular track was a staple in his live shows a few years back and now finally sees the light of day via Sasse's Mood Music label. Its super deep and is a perfect example of Henrik on top of his own game.(MOOD051)DEEP HOUSE- 4/30/07-GE
PET SHOP BOYS VS HT FUNK
MONEY (HT FUNK) 12 - 103823
The best HT Funk yet by far!! The Pet Shop Boys 'Money' gets a superb funky house going-over with a jolt of electro energy thrown in for good measure. The original vocal hooks ride over fat basslines and chunky 4/4 house rhythms here as the HT Funk crew really turn up the heat!(HTFUNK013)FUNKY HOUSE- 4/30/07-UK
SEBO K & METRO
TRANSIT *SCUBA* (GET PHYSICAL) 12 - 103726
One of the marks of a great label is the ability to always keep your sound fresh, in the case of Get Physical its bringing in names like Thomas Schumacher {Electrochemie}, Jesse Rose and now the mighty King Britt aka Scuba who brings a fresh perspective to the deep, dubbed-out electro house sound with a stunning remix here. Warm, organic stabs and dubby bass coincide with gently lingering strings and delicate electro beats on this amazing production!!(GPM069)ELECTRO HOUSE- 4/30/07-GE
FRANCK ROGER
RUBYCUBE (REAL TONE) 12 - 103648
Already a firm favorite of Kerri Chandler's, "Rubycube" is a soulful energetic house gem with deep techy pushing synth stabs and retro house beats. The bass on this cut is deep an d moody and slick effects round this track off nicely. "Stolen Moments" on the flip fits in nicely with the whole soulful electronic edged house cuts ala Ferrer / Harris. Another winner for this French deep house magnet.(RTR021)HOUSE- 4/30/07-FR
ELECTRIC PRESS
TONE CONTROL (20 20 VISION) 12 - 103673
Pure electro filth from the Press here on 20:20!! 'Tone Control' caters to those that love to jack, packing a filthy electro bass lead that slithers and snakes its way over top of pumping break-ish drums and 80's old school synths that add to the retro feel. Pure energy!! On the flip 'A New World' shifts gears into a Kirk DeGiorgio-styled affair for the more chilled floors.(VIS148)ELECTRO HOUSE- 4/30/07-UK

BLINK (BUZZIN FLY) 12 - 103687

'Blink' is a hypnotic, dubbed-out houser that combines the atmosphere of a Basic Channel release with the brash techy percussion and punch of a James Holden or Nathan Fake jam. Two extremely tasty versions here that work equally well.(026BUZZ)MINIMAL HOUSE- 4/30/07-UK

DATA SAPIENS *RADIO SLAVE* (REKIDS) 12 - 103690
Jori Hulkkonen and Phonogenic reunite under their Discemi guise under which they've released the acclaimed 'Tango Or Cash' single. This time out they've come up with another dark & twisted electronic house killer 'Data Sapiens' complete with moody synths, pumping synthetic drum grooves and thick analogue bass with the resonance knob cranked all the way high! Radio Slave's remix over on the flip is a 12+ minute journey of decadent electro filth with a crunchy 'Germanic' flavour.(REKIDS014)ELECTRO HOUSE- 4/30/07-UK

COULDNT LOVE*FEDDE LEGRANDE* (TOOLROOM) 12 - 103691
Hot UK vocal house pressure produced by Pete Tong and Paul Harris and featuring the voice of Victoria Horn and allstar remixers Fedde Le Grande, Shlomi Aber and Koolwah. The Le Grande mix is doing it for us in a major way, using some bleepy synth elements you'd expect plus a polished series of chord changes that give a Positiva-type feel; very hot indeed.(TOOL026)ELECTRO HOUSE- 4/30/07-UK
WALTER MEEGO
THROUGH A KEY *SOLID GROOVE/SI (MINDS ON FIRE) 12 - 103692
Those masters of fidget house, Solid Groove & Sinden, deliver a freaked-out smackdown of Chicago-based production outfit Walter Meego's 'Through A Keyhole' here on Minds On Fire. The boys take the original's female vocal hooks and run process the bejeezus out of them, adding some warped synth bass and filthy jacking grooves on this thorough Dubsided-style treatment.(MOF001)HOUSE- 4/30/07-UK

JURGEN PAAPE
NORD NORD-WEST (KOMPAKT) 12 - 103743
Jergen Paape heads up another proper EP for Kompakt. The lead cut is a dark one. Excellent hypnotic bass sounds with really nice FX washes here and there. Just a simple late night groover thats sure to get the attention it deserves when being played. Following that, its a bit more dirty and gritty. For the B-side things get blissed out and operatic.(KOMPAKT156)MINIMAL TECHNO- 4/30/07-GE
QUENUM / DACHSHUND
PARADOX (PLATZHIRSCH) 12 - 103747
Quenum & Dachshund team up for a stellar 2 tracker for the Platzhirsch label. Kind of different for Platzhirsch, but I think if anyone were presented with these 2 tracks, they would pick them up based on how great they are. The a side is a drummy 4/4 thing thats strictly dancefloor. This little flangy thing going on in the track is what gives it most of its funk. On the B-side, it gets mental but still dancefloor oriented. On the slightly broken beat tip with this reverberated vocal thing going on throughout. A sure fire winner here, minimal folks!(PATZ011)MINIMAL TECHNO- 4/30/07-GE
JEFF SAMUEL
LOST (TRAPEZ URL) 12 - 103748
A while back, ol Jeff released this cut on New York based Remains back in 1991. Very simple, yet completely hypnotic and effective. Some say it's Jeff's best work, which would make sense as to why Trapez decided to re-release it. The track reappeared a bit ago on Richie Hawtins "DE9:Transitions" mix CD. As soon as the needle drops, youre going to go "OH! I know this record" and then walk back over to the computer, and place an order with us for some more copies.(TRAPURL3)MINIMAL TECHNO- 4/30/07-GE

After the sucess of the "Broad Band EP" from a few months ago, Todd Sines returns with the "Back Up EP". This time, it's under his classic X-trak guise from back in the day. Raw, minimal techno at its finest. And boy is this EP jackin! Every cut on it is white hot! One of the more intersting things about it too is how Todd kept his initial production ideas running, while updating it with modern technology. Thus making analog sounding music, through digital means. Also, coming soon on Yore, a Rick Wade EP thats top notch!(YRE001)MINIMAL TECHNO- 4/30/07-GE

MATT FLORES (COMPOST) 12 - 103644
The Compost Black Label series epitomizes class in electronic music, evident once again with this outstanding offering from Matt Flores. Matt delivers two stellar tracks with "Blackboard Universe" kicking it off on the A. Its a deep futuristic space disco jam reminiscent of early Nuphonic / Faze Action gear with a rubbery, oh so funky bassline and great shuffling minimal beats. On the flip, "Solar Winds" has more of that hypnotic German Ame feel to it with just a touch of Metro Area thrown in for good measure.(COMP253)HOUSE- 4/30/07-GE

First up on the remix front is Boogie Drama (Was Not Was/Mood Music) who turn in a shaking mix which fattens up the bassline into Oizo territory, beefs up the beats and pushs the tune into more peak time territory. On the flip the brothers Chatelain, Nick & Danny (Ovum/NRK/Maya) turn in a mind blowing deep acidic mix with killer stabs, trippy synth riffs, nasty effects and a hynotic yet pumping vibe. JOHN DAHLBACK
POWER 2 *EXTRAWELT* (GIANT WHEEL) 12 - 103725
Newsflash! John Dahlback has FINALLY produced a crap track. Only kidding of course- JD still has a lot left in the tank which he shows on both 'Vitamin' & 'Multipower'. The sound is reduced but still WAY pumping behind glitching synth riffs and surging bass- this stuff rocks!! Extrawelt's remix is deeper, clickier and dubbier, one for the Holden kids.(GIANT036)ELECTRO HOUSE- 4/30/07-GE
GUS GUS
HOLD YOU *MOONBOOTICA/NAMITO* (PINEAPPLE) 12 - 103731
Beautiful vocal track from Gus Gus' album with vocalist Earth adding a sassy R&B/soul vibe to the signature crisp electro house instrumentation and retro vibes. HARLEM
CAT SCRATCH (RISKY DAZZLE) 12 - 103733
'Cat Scratch' comes right at you with claws fully extended! This squeaky electro burner has already shown up in the sets of Tiga, Munk and Punks Jump Up and definitely suits the Turbo/Kitsune mode with its ravey, glitchy synth stabs, fat bass stabs and pumped electronic beats.(RISK004)ELECTRO HOUSE- 4/30/07-GE
ACQUAVIVA & ZENKER
SWIMMING WITH SHARKS *GIACOMOT (BLUFIN) 12 - 103736
Swimming with Sharks is a master discipline among the divers, only for the trained and brave ones that don't fear any risk or even the thrill of losing their heads. In this case, who else would be in for the task but two legends in music like JOHN ACQUAVIVA and RAMON ZENKER? Routiniers in their work and skills as producers, they manage to tame aggressive basslines and get the heart of the track from start to the end. Rhythm is the main element and the grooving bassline stays ahead of any other element focused on one intention only: tearing apart floors worldwide. Delays and reverbs opening, just to close as fast as they appeared. Strong remixes on this package too coming from Oliver Giacomotto along with Remo.(BF023)HOUSE- 4/30/07-UK
DACHSHUND
EFT EP (NUM) 12 - 103745
Dachshund burst out onto the scene a few months ago with a couple EPs that seemed to blow everyone away. He's on a roll again (2 releases this week), and this one is on Num again. The A-side is like a mixture of Ryan Crosson and Sean "Someone Else" O'neil. Flipping it over, we find a darker aspect that lies somewhere between Konrad Black and Mathew Jonson.(NUM17)MINIMAL TECHNO- 4/30/07-GE
ALFA ROMERO
LA PENTOLATA EP (PLAYERS PARADISE) 12 - 103754
Alfa Romero have been getting a bit of attention after that last record they did for Music for Freaks, which is why were so happy to see them with another one! This time its for the Dirt Crew's Players Paradise label. The groove on this one is positively one of the sickest weve heard in a while for minimal house. The flip side is a bit scratchier and a tad acidic. Fans of John Tejada will be diggin on this.(PLAYER012)TECH HOUSE- 4/30/07-GE

Unless you've been holed up in a commune in Idaho or something for the past year then you know that Claude Vonstroke is hotter than Hades at the moment- case in point this amazing remix edition of 'The Whistler'. Something for everyone here and its all FILTHY!! Fidget house hero Jesse Rose uses his own synth whistles and some jackin' beats to ignite some serious mayhem, whilst ghetto tech legend DJ Assault adds some killer vocals and fast, pumping electro beats into the equation- sickness!! LUDOVIC VENDI
CHANGE EP (PARADIGMA) 12 - 103746
Ludovic Vendi with a few tracks here written with a couple friends. The first one is from Vendi and Ward. Its more on the deeper and pretty side of things with lots of fancy digital business thrown in at random times that almost sounds like errors in the track. All in all, it twists itself all around for the full spectrum of a techno journey. On the flip, its Vendi & Sascha B Wagner on a more mental thing with dark basslines and shimmering percussion. The final cut is Ludovic by himself for a dirty but deep triplet techno thing .(PARA04)MINIMAL TECHNO- 4/30/07-GE

The "Hanged Man EP" is definitely one of Alex's shining moments on wax, led by the deep 10 minute motivator 'Its A Carni Life' while the title cut 'Hanged Man' is simply straight-forward digital funk with a twisted acid feel. The final cut 'Rotwang' has a warm, festival kind of feel to it- roll on summertime!!(VA013)MINIMAL HOUSE- 4/23/07-GE

Blackbeard fuses Headhunters into the groove igniting it for slow sleazy dancefloors.(MOUSTACHE1)EDIT- 4/23/07-UK
SOG
SPEICHER 49 (KOMPAKT EXTRA) 12 - 103621
Sog deliever us the new Kompakt Extra and this one were told is EXTREMELY LIMITED, unlike the rest of the Speichers. This one sounds like a super stripped down dub cut, without your typical dub sounds. But, dont let me lead you to thinking its a dubstep record. The a-side has some flutes in it, also some trippy funk thrown in as well. One of the more interesting releases via this Kompakt sublabel that weve heard in quite some time.(KOMEX49)MINIMAL TECHNO- 4/23/07-GE

Fresh off his Salted hit, Joshua lets the funk fly, startingwith a tasteful remake of the Fred Wesley classic "Casa Fiesta" which will be instantly recognizable. Next up is "Do It Again" on a smoother deeper tip but don't let the soothing Rhodes lick fool you this one is bumpin' with a pure funk bassline, kick ass horns and oodles of vocal samples. Flip for "Jack Me to Sleep" with lush chords, slick guitar line, funky horns, dope analog bassline and spoken word another deep track but with a bump to it. Last up is Jason Merle's remix of "Jack me to Sleep", This California local stays true to the vibe of the original but gives it an almost broken beat.
