This week I am including a bigger stock list, I usually leave off some of the older titles but there are some tasty restocks available this week and you might be able to find samples of them easier - as well as decide that you want to own a physical copy of some of these gems.

Here is the list of titles you can request to pick up or ship on Wednesday April 18.

Requests from this list are due by SUNDAY NIGHT if you want to ensure arrival on Wednesday, though you can email an order anytime.  Save %10 by ordering, and picking up/shipping in a timely manner (details below).

I will also be sending out the SOLE DISTRIBUTION list with sound samples shortly… that list won’t be shipping for a week or two so you have plenty of time to request things.  There are many exclusive domestic house releases on that list, tracks you won’t find available anywhere else, and some really nice techno tracks.  That’s Frankie Vega’s list so do check it out – he handpicks all the releases and do check it out if you are into the Claude Von Stroke and Sebastian Leger sound (we carried those Von Stroke records in the store for a couple years before anyone realized they were cool; now that he is all popular and stuff).

Yes, we do mail order and work with you on shipping.  Yes, you can consolidate a few tracks from week to week.

If you have questions, please feel free to ask.

Thank-you!

SWIRL PEOPLE

SWIRL IT UP SAMPLER PT 2 (AROMA) 12  - 101266

Part 2 of the "Swirl It Up" album sampler features three more fantastic bumping house gems from the funky Belgian house boys. The title track for the album is first up and what a tune it is! Pure party house that sounds like a mixture of patent Swirl People gear and some Inland Knights action thrown in as well. "To The Restaurant" is next up and features a menacing bassline, freaked out pads, shuffling beats and a lesson in Spanish riding over the party grooves. "Like To Boogie" finishes off the sampler in fine style with more party boogie basslines, deep chord stabs and beefy beats.(AROMA052)HOUSE- 4/02/07-BE

SWIRL PEOPLE

SWIRL IT UP SAMPLER PT 1 (AROMA) 12  - 101265

First of two tasty samplers by the notoriously funky Belgian house boys, the Swirl People. The opening track tells all, a pumping party jam entitled "The Greatest Time" which takes the Swirl sound to an all new high. It features a slick vocal hook, funked up bassline with a slick synth playing a similar riff, great shuffling beats and funky bits of percussion and guitars. "Ride The Pony" is up next and has a slightly deeper edge and again takes the Swirl sound up a level with deep stabs, off the wall sound effects including some whining horses. The bassline on this sucker is as funky as they come and the beats are quite bumping. Flip over for the jazzy bass heavy "Hot 'N' Stuffy" which is another hit for the floor with those trippy disco effects. "Luscious" is what Swirl deep house will be all about in 2007. EXIT ONLY

FEELS GOOD / SERENADE (GREENS KEEPERS) 12  - 103090

Greens Keepers introduce Exit Only. This four tracker does a great job of giving us a look at what these two young kids can do. They have a Joey Youngmen style of beats with more playful music layered on top. The first song "Feels Good" is a funky and bouncing dj friendly track with vocal snippits and dope keys. "Serenade" is the 2nd song on the ep. It's full of an old disguised disco sample with a male vocal talking about playing his guitar to turn his girl on. Super boompty, live bass line feel. "So High" picks up the pace and is more of a peak hour jam with a deep rolling sub bass. It's been getting play from Diz and Derrick and is a great track to set the night off right. "Rock It Don't Stop" rounds off the package nicely and has a fun, funky driving feel that goes off!(GKM020)HOUSE- 4/12/07-FR

SOUND DIGGERZ

DONT CHANGE *INLAND KNIGHTS* (SHREWD) 12  - 103420

Side A brings you the original "Bud Love" a smooth style groove with wicked sliced funk and some awesome keys and vocals. It's a real feel good party tune, one that really gets the crowd going. Next up is the "Bud Love" remix from the legendary Inland Knights, who yet again don't disappoint on delivery using the vocal to perfect effect with patent driving beats and much swinging funk!(SM002)HOUSE- 4/16/07-UK

THEO PARRISH

FALLING UP *CHATEAU FLIGHT* (SYNCROPHONE) DP  - 100735

What an amazing and LIMITED package here, Theo Parrish's undergound smash hit "Falling Up" with the original mix from Theo, Carl Craig's remix and two incredible new mixes from Chateau Flight. It seems like everybody drafted to remix this track is delivering their absolute best output and Chateau Flight outdoes themselves here. Deep, dubby, techy and soulful with sublime effects, and melodies that just tickle all those places that make you shake your ass and bob your head. Two mixes from Chateau Flight both winners!(SYNCRO01)HOUSE- 4/12/07-FR

RANDOM FACTOR

DIGITIZE *EMPEROR MACHINE* (20 20 VISION) 12  - 103381

Twisted electronic disco from the twisted mind of Random Factor {Carl Finlow} who returns with another killer vocal cut in the same vein as 'Broken Mirror' and 'Convergence'. With him on remix duties is the Chicken Lips' Andy Meacham under his Emperor Machine guise, delivering a discofied electronic remix that has Smagghe, Prins Thomas and crew in a tizzy.(VIS147B)ELECTRO HOUSE- 4/16/07-UK

INLAND KNIGHTS

WHATS YOUR FLAVOR (FLAVOR) 12  - 102620

Now this is a pretty special package that we should probably let the music speak for itself. Mr Shrewd has collected together some of the house music finest producers for one EP, Inland Knights and Jay West on the same EP? Very exciting stuff we say. Inland Knights provide a standout cut that is every bit as hot as any of their Drop Music releases. Jay West drops a killer too, pure bumping house business. Also on this ep are tracks from Groove Federation (Greenhouse) and Tovar.(FR005)HOUSE- 4/09/07-UK

BOB SINCLAR

EVERYBODYS MOVIN PT 1 (YELLOW PRODUCTIONS) 12  - 103095

This first of two parts on Yellow Productions features the rocking original mix along with a remix from Ron Carroll the man responsible for the vocals on the tune.(YP229)HOUSE- 4/12/07-FR

SPEAKER JUNK

FOXXY *SWITCH* (DUBSIDED) 12  - 102473

Speaker Junk aka Trevor Loveys and Joshua 'Herve' Harvey feelin' mighty fidgety here on Switch's Dubsided imprint as their Jimi Hendrix 'Foxy Lady' rerub {done under the 'Speaker Pnuk' alias} gets snapped up by Dave Taylor's label, including a wicked mix from the Switch man himself! Switch's mix is a rude bass-heavy jam that takes the original's guitar licks and Hendrix vocals and chops 'em up into an acidic tech house hurricane. The aa-side features two brand new cuts for youto get your fidget on with, with both 'Close Your Eyes' and 'Bounce' prime examples of twisted floor mayhem. BACK IN  after a re-press!!(DSD011)TECH HOUSE- 3/19/07-UK

PEPE BRADOCK

RHAPSODY IN PAIN (ATAVISME) 12  - 103166

At long long last, the original French master of deepness returns with "Rhapsody in Pain". A couple different mixes here. On the live version, its a spooky one with a light kick and lots of screaming. Definitely a very mental track designed for playing at just the right time. On the flip is the "Bonus Beat", which is a total drum workout with a very thick underkick with some really great light percussion. Throw in a couple build ups based around some gritty stabs and youve got yourself a jam! Also included is an accapella from the A-side, just in case your really want to freak some people out.Pepe's return is a very welcome one. Always one to raise the bar a bit for house music, and this one is right on point.(ATA007)HOUSE- 4/09/07-GE

C2C4

SPECIMEN 4 5 & 6 (MOXIE) 12  - 103304

The second C2-C4 release on this little known Moxie label. This one also be done by the legendary Carl Craig and for some reason never had been offered to us before. Three essential edits on Loleatta Holloway's 'Hit and Run', Dick Hyman (that acidie breaks track!!) plus another one. SICK!(MX004)HOUSE- 4/16/07-NL

CHOW DADDY

BAD LITTLE KITTEN / BATMAN (MOXIE) 12  - 99296

Moxie returns to where they started (and pretty much stayed) rough 80's electronic music. This time - two edits from worlds apart.. The A-side features an edit of a late 80's NY classic while the B-side is a re-edit of a electrofied Brazilian song.. they must have listened to the Sugarhill Gang before producing this tune.. Now whoÆs Chow Daddy?(MX010)HOUSE-11/09/06-NL

MOXIE -DISCO EDITS VOL 5 (MOXIE) 12  – 72737

TRENTEMOLLER

EP 1 (KICKIN) 12  - 102900

Trentemoller continues to turn out hit after hit and here unleashes another one, well two. The A side's "An Evening With Babi Bros" sees the deeper more soulful side of Trentemoller and sees him teaming up with Scandinavian giant Dj Tom. It features warm chords, haunting melodies, pushing beats and a healthy dose of St Germain styled funk and soul. Played by Lindstrom, Tiga, and Ashley Beedle to name a few. On the flip Trentemoller gets super deep on "25 Timer" which sounds like a mixture of Isolee's "Beau Mot Plage" and Aril Brikha styled deep techy material. Deep and soulful and fucking amazing(KICK154)HOUSE- 3/29/07-UK

DR BEAT FROM SAN SEBASTIAN

MEDITERRANEO *SUNSHINE JONES* (ESKIMO) 12  - 102799

Dr Beat is a legend in Ibiza, playing there since the late eighties. In 2000 he released the promo copies of "Mediterraneo", a gorgeous balearic number that became a hit thanks to Dj Harvey who included it on one of his mix compilations. The track never saw a full release until now where it finds a remix from Dubtribe's Sunshine who kisses it with that magical Imperial Dub sound.(501678)HOUSE- 4/16/07-BE

CHROMEO

FANCY FOOTWORK*DIM/BARFOD* (TURBO) 12  - 103322

Huge release on Turbo as Chromeo return to the label with this killer new single 'Fancy Footwork'. The Montreal duo unleash a retro-sounding analogue club monster with a quirky as f**k vocal, amazing synth sounds and fx edits over a pounding 4/4 house beat. The remixes get even tastier thanks to the names involved, namely DIM and Thomas Barfod plus Surkin.(TURBO038)ELECTRO HOUSE- 4/16/07-GE

BOB SINCLAR

YES YOU ARE *MYLO* (WHITE) 12  - 103368

SORRY ABOUT THE PRICE ON THIS BUT THEY'RE VERY EXPENSIVE TO US. Normally we'd pass on this and wait for a full release but we've been told this one ain't coming out and this mix is DOPE! Mylo drops the pressure on this mix giving it a rub that is very like his hit "Drop The Pressure".(YES001)HOUSE- 4/16/07-UK

JUNIOR BOYS

THE DEAD HORSE *CARL CRAIG* (DOMINO) 12  - 103424

LIMITED AS FUCK!(RUG251T2)HOUSE- 4/16/07-UK

FOR DISCO ONLY

MAGENTA (FOR DISCO ONLY) 12  - 101197

This next installment on the mysterious For Disco Only imprint (who we all know is Vilallobos or maybe it's Luciano?) either way the A side's edit of OMD's "Talking Loud & Clear", with slick new minimal grooves and the full infectious vocal of the original sounds a lot like both of them. On the flip is another nu wave classic taken into the realm of Berlin minimalism.(FD004)MINIMAL HOUSE- 3/26/07-GE

DJ INO

TAKE CONTROL (JUSTIFIED CAUSE) 12  - 102593

Season's Limited regular Dj Ino follows Brett Johnson on the Justified Cause imprint with this beautiful deep house number "Take Control". It has been receiving early support from Charles Webster and features synths that gate in a weird and wonderfully funky way, a perfect vocal hook, deep bass and swinging beats. Garcynoise provides a more jacking Chi-town influenced mix on the flip, trippy and funky as funk.(CAUSE008)HOUSE- 4/12/07-SP

ELON

MOVIN IN *RITON* (MADE TO PLAY) 12  - 103173

New York based Elon delivers his very first high profile release for Jesse Rose's Made to Play Recordings. "Movin In" is a bleepy and punchy tune with a lots of nice editing and FX thrown from every angle. Keep your eyes on this guy. Weve heard alot of his stuff thats coming over the next year, and most of it is mind blowing! On the flip, Riton does his thing and makes the original a peak hour, blissed out monster. This one should be pretty huge.(MTP006)HOUSE- 4/09/07-GE

ARIL BRIKHA

AKIRE (POKER FLAT) 12  - 103174

Following the massive success of his last outing for Kompakt, Sweden's Aril Brikha comes even stronger for an absolutely solid release for Steve Bug's Poker Flat imprint. The lead cut is a long drawn out and SUPER deep techno cut with Detroity bits all around, and rounded off with an infectuous bassline that keeps you wanting more and more. Things get dirty  on the B-side. The bassline is borderline industrial, but the sounds are all still deep. Definitely a good one for those sets crossing from house to techno. And finally, a semi shuffly cut more similar to the stuff from his Winter EP. With 2 recent and very strong EP's from Aril, one can only hope there is more on the way.(PFR80)HOUSE- 4/09/07-GE

SOMEONE ELSE

LOWDOWN BRITTLE *JOSH WINK* (FOUNDSOUND) 12  - 103403

Foundsound is on fire lately! After that last release from Fusiphorm, and now this precursor to the long anticipated Someone Else full length (due out in the next couple months). Lowdown Brittle is webster defined Someone Else. Crunchy, bouncy, and trippy with all sorts of clicks and whirls, and lets not forget the vocal snippets. Following that is the Fusiphorm remix, which pumps the cut up some with a darker bassline and fx washes, all of which are Fusiphorm trademarks. On the flip, is the true trademark of quality, Mr Josh Wink, who lent his remix skills to the Foundsound crew out of the fact that they are both based in Philly. Well, for whatever the reason, Josh nailed it! Signature Wink, here, with a solid minimal house groove that grows and grows, adding a dizzying acid line and of course the classic Wink build-up and cut to nothing FX washes that have come to be a staple in Josh's tracks. This one is a monster, folks, and is sure to be one of the hits of the summer!(FOUND13)MINIMAL TECHNO- 4/16/07-GE

P DIDDY / BASEMENT JAXX

TELL ME/HERES THE SPOT *SWITCH (WHITE) 12  - 103214

MARTIN SOLVEIG

REJECTION *BOB SINCLAR* (MIXTURE) 12  - 103078

First of two 12"s for Martin Solveig's "Rejection". This package is a must have, featuring mixes from Bob Sinclar, ErickE, Ian Carey and Martin's original club edit. Each of these mixes are dangerous dancefloor weapons with Bob providing the epic mix sure to raise the hands, ErickE does the big funky disco tinged thing, Ian Carey gets all old school Chicago with a jacking bassline reminiscent of Marshall Jefferson and Martin's mix is a crossover club killer destined for radio play as well as much dancefloor action.(MXT023)HOUSE- 4/12/07-FR

Nick & Danny Chatelain's productions just keep getting better & better. This debut for the Uniform imprint goes deeper than ever for the boys taking acid house into the realms of the underwater netherworld. The track features a hypnotic, funky acid bassline that filters throughout the entire mix, backed by a slick shuffling laidback beat, trippy effects and more acidic synths arpeggiating nicely over the top. This one is a biggie already for Josh Wink and Locodice.(UI001)HOUSE- 4/12/07-SP

REINHARD VOIGT

CHARGE YOUR DREAMS (KOMPAKT) 12  - 103182

All has been relatively quiet from Reinhard Voigt lately. ut he returns to Kompakt with Charge Your Dreams, a very hypnotic looper of a track with a bassline that you can totally get lost in. Side B is reserved for Burger Sichten Falschgeld, which is a bit punchier with some really nice percussion work with a very obvious nod to early chicago jack tracks, beefed up a bit and Kompaktified.(KOMPAKT155)MINIMAL TECHNO- 4/09/07-GE

Phonique returns from a few excursions on Systematic, Souvenir, Renaissance and Fine back home on Dessous with his fresh new joint "John". This cut will only be included as a bonus track on the CD for his second album for Dessous and will not find any other release on vinyl. ROBERT BABICZ

SIN *G BORATTO* (SYSTEMATIC) 12  - 103157

Robert is da man!! 'Sin' rams that point home like a bassline-fueled dagger here on Systematic, packing some of the brashest synth sounds and programming edits we've heard, the kind that put alot of other releases in this genre to shame. On the remix tip comes Gui Boratto, a man needing little introduction these days, rocking out a chunkier housier version for the reduced techno set.(SYST033)ELECTRO HOUSE- 4/12/07-GE

SASSE & NAUGHTY

ALL DEVICES ON *CATWASH* (CRACK & SPEED) 12  - 103389

Sasse (aka Freestyle Man) has always been one of our favorite artists. Mostly due to the fact that the guy can make the deepest of deep house, and next time out give you a huge dancefloor stormer! This time around, he teamed up with DJ Naughty for "All Devices On". This one fits PERFECTLY in the Crack & Speed camp. Darks grooves, with super hot uptempo house rhythms. Lots of tweaking on the main synth line, which by the way is an homage to Chicago jack tracks like "Move Your Body" or "Jack Your Body"... it just has that type of feel to it. On the flip, the Catwash boys (Chris Carrier & DJ Wild) do a proper remix and take the elements and make them their own.(C&S020)HOUSE- 4/16/07-GE

SEBBO / LARS WICKINGER

BEIRUT BOOGIE / VILLA INCOGNIT (LIEBE DETAIL) 12  - 103392

Liebe Detail does it again! Another rock solid split 12" from 2 up and comers in the minimal techno & house scene. Lets start with the Sebbo track. Thick drums that hit rather hard, based around some really great organic percussion. Also, some borderline cinematic synth stabs. This one is sure to please. On the flip, Lars Wickinger gets deep and techy for a mindbender with a twist of some african rhtyhms throw into the mix to make things even more twisted. This is one of the strongest Liebe Detail releases we have seen in quite a while.(LIEBE016)MINIMAL TECHNO- 4/16/07-GE

TILL VON SEIN & AERA

DEEDS *TEJADA* (TRENTON) 12  - 103395

Till von Sein & Area team up for a late night minimal house J.A.M.! Deep and melodic with this violin thing that happens from time to time that just completely brings the whole thing together. Not to mention the acidic bassline hidden underneath that drives the whole thing, even when you cant tell its there. Kurtney is the second track which treads into more housey territory for some peak hour bumping. On the flip is where things get really exciting! John Tejada doing his thing all over the opening track from this ep. John shows us all here what a proper remix sounds like. Keeping most of the original elements, but manipulating them in a way that is classic Tejada. This one is a no brainer!(TREN018)HOUSE- 4/16/07-GE

CAVE BEAR CULT

KEEP ON KEEPIN ON (VERSATILE) 12  - 103394

Newcomer Jorg Ehlert (aka Cave Bear Cult) debuts an EP for massivly respected french house label Versatile. This release is a good summary of why we love this label so much. Crossing so many boundries is not so easily pulled off by many. Wether its peak hour house bounce youre looking for, or freaked out late hour space disco, this one's got it all!(VER050)HOUSE- 4/16/07-GE

BLACKSTROBE

SHINING BLACK STAR *PT 1* (PLAY LOUD) 12  - 103421

First of two sets of mixes for Blackstrobe's "Shining Black Star". This features the original mix, a screaming slab of Nine Inch Nails meets no wave funk, a vocal remix from Oliver Huntemann, dirty and quite fucking nasty if we do say so, currently getting run from James Holden and "Who We Are" another nu wave meets modern dance hit.(PLAYR19T1)HOUSE- 4/16/07-UK

BLACKSTROBE

SHINING BLACK STAR *PT 2* (PLAY LOUD) 12  - 103422

ANTISLASH

SHEEPS NIGHTMARE (CIRCUS COMPANY) 12  - 102688

Antislash return for their second outing on Circus Company with a brilliant four tracker of gritty, phunked up dancefloor bombs. The a side opens with "La Fureue De Vaincre", a heavyweight jacking house anthem with dirty analog bass, bleeps and a total mental Ark / Mossa vibe. This tune has been getting much love from Dan Curtin. Next up is "Butterwings" a deeper more breakbeat electro tinged number that sounds like a cross between Pepe Bradock and Aphex Twin, fucking wicked and quite nuts. On the flip you'll find two more freaked out numbers, the first a more minimal techno joint entitled "Troma" the second another tough jacking phunky house bomb called "Soloporto".(CCS018)HOUSE- 3/26/07-GE

TROYDON

JUMP START *STYLE OF EYE* (PHONOSHUFFLE) 12  - 102104

Troydon jump starts his Phonoshuffle imprint with an action packed package of party starting funky house gems. The title cut "Jump Start" has a wicked Inland Knights kind of vibe with funked up disco bass, clever vocal clips effected very nicely, jacking beats and tripped out effects. This tune is a big one for Dj Heather right now and gets a fantastic remix from Style Of Eye who take it even deeper into funky Drop Music territory. Their mix has been a favorite of Farina and the Knights themselves. On the backside "Jam On" reminds us of early Solid Groove material on the Slip N Slide imprint, funked up disco shit. Rounding off this killer debut release is "I Get So", a deep jacking Jesse Rose styled number...(PSHUF101)HOUSE- 3/12/07-BE

REKORDER

8 (REKORDER) 12  - 103156

More crafty electro-techno from the Rekorder studios!! For the 8th release its nothing but quality tuneage {as usual}, very much in line with the stuff Stephan Bodzin is championing on his Herzblut label at the moment. Lots of analogue synth tweaking, grungy bass sounds and freaky edits over solid electro percussion.(REK008)TECH HOUSE- 4/12/07-GE

TEENAGE BAD GIRL

COCOTTE *BOYS NOIZE/YUKSEK* (CITIZEN) 12  - 103080

SIOBHAN DONAGHY

DONT GIVE IT UP *PIC DISC* (PARLOPHONE) 12  - 102959

LIMITED PICTURE DISC! At 22, Siobhan is unrecognizable from the 16-year-old songbird whose laconic gaze first swept across the SugababesÆ"Overload" video in the summer of 2000. 'Don't Give It Up' is a stunning sonic progression from Siobhan's previous work. Dance heads head straight to the Medicine 8 Remix that twists things up into an electro scorcher!! A nice little secret weapon for all the electro house dj's out there.(12R6729)HOUSE- 4/16/07-UK

BURNSKI

VERY BASIC (SOUNDPLANT) 12  - 103177

England's own Burnski has a way about him. Always putting out quality tech house thats generally simple, but never borning. For this one for soundplant, we can hear alot of influences from early Luke Solomon type stuff. On the flip, things sound a bit deeper. The first cut sounds like it could easily have been put out on Poker Flat. The final track is an acidic jam that crunches it's way to nice quick, but solid breakdown.(SNP010)HOUSE- 4/09/07-GE

MASTER DAM

CHEESEBURGER *BEN MACKLIN* (FULL FORCE) 12  - 103208

DANTON EEPROM

ONE THING *TIGERSKIN* (TSUBA) 12  - 103321

Huge dancefloor electro gear from Danton Eeprom that sounds like a combination between a Silver City or Boogie Corporation track dosed with some crazy Lindstrom/Prins Thomas leftfield disco pressure. We're talking loads of retro synth toms, slinky 80's bassline and old school analogue keys that turn 'One Thing' into a floor-dominating killer. AMBULANZ EP (SENDER) 12  - 103408

Well, just knowing that it was a Sender release, I knew I was going to bring the piece in. No question there. But, when I read the description for it, all it said was "Daft Punk meets Daniel Bell" and I kinda flinched. Upon listening to the record, I decided there really wasnt much more you could say! Except maybe that it sounds like John Tejada helped out too. Oh, and I suppose it's woth mentioning that the records is REALLY great, too! Andre Crom is onto something with this slightly housier vibe he's going for here.(SEND066)TECHNO- 4/16/07-GE

Trevor Loveys follows Solid Groove & Kenny Dopes' "Flookin" with another devistating release for Loungin. 1st up is Simbads remix of Sambooka, taking all the parts & chopping them up into a storming afrojazz brokenbeat mix making it one of the strongest releases from the Loungin' camp to date.Classic material. The Max Fresh mix of this, straightens the beats & goes for a more dancefloor friendly angle with great success. TIM DELUXE FT SIMON FRANKS

LET THE BEATS ROLL (AT) 12  - 103372

And roll they do, the beats that is, as Tim Deluxe issues another sure-fire club stormer that takes good advantage of the Audio Bullies' Simon Franks on vox and some nasty jackin' house production. SASCHA DIVE

BASIC COLLECTIVE 1/3 (DEEP VIBES) 12  - 103391

Deep House nuts take note of this one! Brand new label out of Germany called Deep Vibes Recordings. To open things up, the label owner is starting with a series called "The Basic Collective" which will be a 3 part series. This one takes us back to the days when house music was deep and moody. The kind of stuff guys from Detroit were making and playing in the mid nineties. When Theo Parrish, Kenny Dixon JR, Mike Huckaby, Rick Wade, Mike Clark, Norm Talley, (have i name checked enough here yet) were having releases every week which we larger than life, and in my opinion the best days of house music. This record (as well as the rest of the series) is completely an homage to that era. Makes me want to break out my old MK records! Dont sleep on this one, folks!(DVR001)DEEP HOUSE- 4/16/07-GE

WORKTABULAR*LUCIANO/T NEUMANN* (MUSIK KRA) 12  - 86734

Pair of heavy hitters in the minimal camp have a go at RobagWruhme's "Worktabular" on this sizzling two-track platter from Musik Krause. On the A-side Tobi Neumann lets loose a hypnotic stomper of clicks and whirs that gives way to a pulsating haunting vocal breakdown packed with a massive throbbingbassline. The flip from Luciano is more of a stripped-down dub that highlights the percussion and sci fi whizzes. BACK IN FULL!(MK014)MINIMAL HOUSE- 9/16/05-GE

VULVA STRING QUARTET

CRANBERRY SONG (COMBINATION RECORDS) 12  - 103171

Vulva String Quartet return with "Cranberry Song" EP. The title track is a long full-sided workout thats lost deep in the Detroit feel. In fact, crossing Carl Craig with newer John Tejada would be kinda accurate. Well, on the flip the Detroit vibe continues. Deeps strings ala "Strings of Life" and some soft but dirty basslines round out the highlights. The final cut sounds straight out of Kenny Dixon JR land.(CORE051)HOUSE- 4/09/07-GE

TAM  COOPER *EXERCISE ONE*

GALACTICA *JIMPSTER* (SIMPLE) 12  - 103176

Tam Cooper burst onto the scene a month or 2 ago co-producing a record with Will Saul that was top notch! This time around, he's on his own, proving that he doesn't need a high profile artist like Will Saul to help him shine. Galactica is a straight up synthy house dream! Lots of chord stabs to make up the rhythm, and the drum sounds are fantastic. And, as if the original wasnt enough, Tam got 2 of solid remixers to do their dirty work on the flip. First off is Jimpster, who brings a harder element into the fold. In fact, if I didnt read it first, I would have never guessed this was him. Almost angry and industrial sounding! Definitely a nice change of pace for Jimpster. Secondly, we have Exercise One with something really dark and minimal on a scary tip! Dubbed out sounds, and a soft rhythm that would turn the afterhours upside down for sure.(SIMPLE0723)HOUSE- 4/09/07-GE

DA LUKAS PR BUTTERFLAKE

RUBBERDUCK (WHITE PLUS) 12  - 103242

Three hot tracks of Italian electro tech, minimal and electro house action. The title track is our favorite going down that dirty jacking minimal techy route that the recent Re Vox releases have been on. Pure sweaty druggy peak time action.(WP006)HOUSE- 4/09/07-IT

SAN PROPER & DE SCHEPPER

PROPERS AMSTERDAM FAMILY PT 3 (RUSH HOUR LT) 12  - 103418

CLUBWORXX

TANGA STRINGS (KINGDOM KOME CUTS) 12  - 102667

END HAS BEGUN *M JONSON* (RAILYARD) 12  - 103167

LEE VAN DOUSKI

THE STRIKE PANDEMONIUM (SOMA) 12  - 103257

Lee Van Douski has been stirring up a storm with his releases on Cadenza, BPitch Control, Num, Plak  and Defrag Sound Processing imprints. Here for his third offering on Soma, Lee shows off his more twisted side. The A side here has a nasty minimal Minus / Troy Pierce vibe and has been getting much love from the Hawtin posse along with Funk D'Void. On the flip, "King Convex Stylus" is a mental techno bomb that Derek Plaslaiko (NYC's #1 Techno DJ) said he would "Sell His Ass For!"(SOMA220)TECHNO- 4/16/07-UK

GABRIEL ANANDA

BAMBUSBEATS *DP* (KARMAROUGE) DP  - 102531

On this awesome album from Ananda, Gabriel shifts away from the deep melodic minimal numbers and infuses these productions with awesome African based drums and percussion focusing on rhythm and acoustic drums. The mixture of live African drums and twisting electronic melodies is intoxicating and will surely get asses moving, we're having a hard time standing still trying to listen and write
