MEAT VS EINZELKIND
MEAT IS MURDER (GET PHYSICAL) 12 - 102728
Frankfurt based Meat & Einzelkind bring a top notch EP for the Get Physical label. The lead cut is a deep and synthy cut with all the trippy elements that make it a funky little ditty. Almost like Metro Area doing things a bit more techno oriented. The 2nd cut is more freaked out with digital congas and really nice FX work. More housey than anything else, really. Theyve also included a little Bonus Beat thing which is a minimal acidic drum track thats along the lines of the Eric Martin classic "Fire Alarm".(GPM066)ELECTRO HOUSE- 3/26/07-GE

COMPOST BLACK LABEL VOL 18
SHAHROKH SOUNDOFK (COMPOST) 12 - 102045
Three brand new tracks from Shahrokh Dini and Andreas K÷hler aka Shahrokh SoundofK! This EP is deeply inspired by the Chicago house sound of the 80s, taking you back to the heydays of Frankie Knuckles, Marshall Jefferson, Finger Inc. Doing the splits between electronics, old school house, synthesizer and having an enthusiastically preference for melodies and harmonies Shahrokh SoundofK are going against the general minimal house trend. "Squeezer" on the B is a wicked close encounter of the Ame kind, deep dark and intense!(COMP247)HOUSE- 3/26/07-GE
JURGEN PAAPE
SPEICHER 47 (KOMPAKT EXTRA) 12 - 102568
Jurgen shows us why he's been such a regular part of the Kompakt family with this outstanding Speicher release. the a-side is a straight-up techno rattler of a tune packing a simple yet heavy stabbed bassline, metallic stabs that play off one another while a booming kickdrum lands repeated body blows. The flipside offers a bit darker tech house vision with no less thump and 'bounce to the ounce'. Killer.(KOMEX47)TECH HOUSE- 3/19/07-GE
CLUBWORXX
TANGA STRINGS (KINGDOM KOME CUTS) 12 - 102667
Following Noferini's "Sex" and Sebastien Leger's "Hit Girl" we have Clubworxx's "Tanga Strings". TOM ELLIS & LEIF
REFRESH RESIST EP (FRANKIE) 12 - 102691
After a few hot releases on Moon Harbour, Floppy Funk and Logistic, Tom Ellis & Leif drop a slick four tracker for the well respected Frankie label. As with all Frankie releases we get both quality and quantity as this sucker has four cuts all of which are rocking. The tracks all have a dry phunked up crunchy house feel with off kilter sounds, weird vocals, jazzy rhythms, huge basslines and impressive drum programming.(FRANKIER19)HOUSE- 3/26/07-GE
DISKJOKKE
MEKSIBOBO (KINDISCH) 12 - 102692
Wow, the Get Physical sub label Kindisch returns with a fresh new Norweigan producer, Diskjokke who drops some seriously funky disco action on "Meksibobo". The track definitely nods at the classic Chicago house sound without sacraficing the groovy, funked up twisted Scandinavian disco action ala Prins Thomas etc.(KD005)HOUSE- 3/26/07-GE
LUKA & LAZO
DUST NO 4 *BAREM* (MOS FERRY) 12 - 102693
Luka & Lazo return to Mo's Ferry for a mean one! The beats are broken, and the sounds are ugly! I cant totally see this one pummeling everyone into oblivion and those dark, seedy Berlin clubs. Top it all off with a super hot remix from Barem, and you've got yourself a winner!(MFP027)HOUSE- 3/26/07-GE
DAS ETWAS
CHANGE (MULE) 12 - 102695
Das Etwas is best known as Pete Z, one of the most popular keyboard of the UK nu disco scene during the 90's working with the likes of DJ Harvey, Idjut Boys, Chicken Lips & Streetcorner Symphony to name a few and Foolish Felix aka Foolish & Sly (Eskimo), LHAS (Wax/Cynic/Eskimo) among others. BREAK SL
TROMBONE (PHILPOT) 12 - 102697
The title cut here is an off kilter slab of Detroit rooted techno you wouldn't imagine coming from a youngster (21 years old) who just started producing two years ago but it's the flip that we're feeling on this baby. "Flow" has Theo Parrish / Moodyman written all over it, deeper than deep beautiful shit for the Slow To Speak fans out there.(PHP023)HOUSE- 3/26/07-GE
FUNK D'VOID & PHIL KIERAN
WHITE LIGHT (SOMA) 12 - 102701
Funk D'void and Phil Kieran return to Soma with a schizophrenic ep of deep electro bliss and sinister techno. The title cut "White Light" is a warm, late night burner with brooding melodies, captivating pads/atmospherics and pushing beats making it a perfect tune for those 4am locked on moments. On the flip "Black As You Like" provides a stark contrast dragging you through an abyss of dark jacking thorny rhythms, dirty analog bass and tough trippy blasts of sonic warfare.(SOMA219)TECHNO- 3/26/07-UK
SWAT SQUAD
MANDANGA EP (SOUNDERGROUND) 12 - 102735
Swat Squad deliever something a bit ahrder than we are used to from them. Mandaga is a builder of a cut with metallic arpeggiation that filers in and out and up and down with a rough bassline that comes in at the end. On the flip, the kick gets harder but the tempo gets a tad slower.(SR003)MINIMAL HOUSE- 3/26/07-GE

TOMBOY
FLAMINGO *KIM* (GOMMA) 12 - 102824
Tomboy's "Flamingo" is a huanting midtempo uber cut with a quirky vocal and hipster beats. Kim from the Presets turns in a burning acid house reworking that annihilates those big room systems, but the true killer on this plate is a remix from Tomboy themselves. Their "Ta-Ram" reworking is a euphoric tribal techno funk bomb that has been getting massive reactions from the likes of Trentemoller, Trevor Jackson, Andrew Weatherall and Mylo to name a few.(GOMMA092)HOUSE- 3/26/07-GE
ERICK MORILLO
DANCIN (STRICTLY RHYTHM) 12 - 102830
ItÆs hard to imagine Morillo and Louie Vega combining on a record at any point from the mid 1990s given their divergence of direction. But back in 1994 they turned out this superb version of a cut from Morillo's "More EP", which featured vocals from Barbara Tucker and Zhana Saunders. BORED & LAZY
IT MUST MEAN SOMETHING (KLANG ELEKTRONIK) 12 - 102850
Bored & Lazy is a collab between Steve Boardman & good ol Pete Lazonby. 2 cuts here. Lets start with the B-side. Very shuffly, minimal electro. Broken techno beats with some almost Rob Hoodish or old Johannes Heil notes thrown in. This track alone would be just fine. However, on the A-side, you get an absolute POWERHOUSE of a track! This one is all balls, la dies and gentlemen! HEAVY kickdrums and even heavier basslines! Hearing this actually makes me think back to the first time I heard Alter Ego's "Rocker", and we all know how huge THAT was! And, wow, what a coincidence.... both tracks in question were released on Klang. Sounds like the boys know what the people need right now! (KLANG119)MINIMAL HOUSE- 3/26/07-GE
THE CAKE
AT THE DEEP END (NUM) 12 - 102852
The Cake is a new collab between Pan Pot and Sweet N Candy. 2 Names that if youre a fan of minimal stuff, you are already very well familiar with. And the sounds fit the creators.
Deepy and punchy and extremely well produced. Hearing these on a proper soundsystem would leave you no choice but to dance your ass off. You could check Richie Hawtins hard drive, Josh Wink's CD cases, or Daniel Bell's record crate and you would more than likely find this here release. (NUM16)MINIMAL HOUSE- 3/26/07-GE

Something for everyone here and its all FILTHY!! Fidget house hero Jesse Rose uses his own synth whistles and some jackin' beats to ignite some serious mayhem, whilst ghetto tech legend DJ Assault adds some killer vocals and fast, pumping electro beats into the equation- sickness!! Diplo's remix will open some eyes {and ears} with its raw, techy sound that does wonders for the original mix while Claude and Luca Agnelli get to work on a slithering tech-phunk version. BACK IN!(DB009)TECH HOUSE- 2/20/07-GE
GIAGA ROBOT
MEET YOU MEET YOU *MONTANARI* (REVOX) 12 - 102613
More dirty jacking nastiness on the Revox imprint. The original mix of "Meet You Meet You" has a rough and rugged Alex Neri feel with shaking electro fuelled bass, a bleepy tough acid edge and freaky sound design. Azuli's Ricky Montanri provides the remix, a more stripped down club banger that adds breaky drums and works the hell out of the freaked out sounds.(RX084)HOUSE- 3/22/07-IT
DJ CHUS PR FC NOND
THE CURE (TRIBO) 12 - 102707
Dj Chus discovered Brazilian producer FC Nond after wading through a sea of CDR's sent to him at Tribo headquarters. Agnes & Ripperton team up for one cut, while also giving 1 solo cut each. The collab track is a deeper late night synth washy kind of cut with really nice FX work and percussion. Reminds alot of old Sensorama or Roman Flugel releases circa 97. Rippertons solo cut is a throwback to old Mr Fingers type of techno with deep acidy basslines that bump all the way to 11. Jay Haze saddles up his trusty Fuckpony and gives us another glance at 'The Dark Side Of The Pony' here with Volume 2. 'Flower' is a wicked techno-oriented joint with a fat, err we mean FAT lead synth riff and charged 4/4 beats- nothing minimal about this rocker at all! 'Cold Slave' is all about that tangy, twangy pony funk with a bassline that makes your hips shake uncontrollably. BACK IN!!(GPM063)ELECTRO HOUSE- 2/12/07-GE

ANDY VAZ
ENDINGS & BEGINNINGS (PERSISTENCEBIT) 12 - 102698
Our man Andy Vaz is getting housey in his old age! 3 cuts that might suprise lovers of Andy's music. Still very Detroit influenced, but more sounding like traditional Detroit Techno, rather than ultra deep lush minimal soundscapes. Kinda sounds like Stacey Pullen or Dan Curtin circa 1997. Truly some hotness!(VAZBIT013)HOUSE- 3/26/07-GE
